Chapter 9 - 9. Marry Me

Skye gave an annoyed look at the man in front of her. Just because she had a lot of work, could she be looked down upon with money? No, Skye could work with her skills, not be a bitch who was paid to satisfy the fucking lust of men. "I don't care, I just want to go back to my job!" Skye was annoyed, then she stood up from her seat.

Sean pushed Skye's shoulder to sit back down. Skye looked up to stare at Sean's annoying face. Sean lowered his body so that his eyes could be aligned with Skye's. He lifted one leg and stepped on the sloping side of the sofa right next to Skye's knee.

"Don't you need money? It's only a small amount of money I can get for you, and I can even give you 10 times your income today," Sean said in a condescending tone of voice.

"Asshole! Tell me quickly, what do you want to bring me here?" asked Skye, looking boldly at Sean.

"Your personality is really weird, huh? There are people who look down on you, and you don't say anything. You got hit by someone, and you apologized. I helped you, and now I'm even going to pay you, but you're acting like this?" asked Sean with a mocking smile.

His hand was now holding Skye's chin, Skye looked boldly at Sean. She was indeed easy to apologize if she felt he was guilty. However, right now her position was different. She was innocent, she was working, but Sean suddenly approached her, and now she was here. This is Sean's fault because she only greeted Sean when she was outside the ballroom, not inside the ballroom. But why was Sean bothering her?

"Goddamn it!" cursed Skye and swatted Sean's hand away from her chin. Unfortunately, it was useless for her to do that. Her hand on Sean's hand didn't hurt at all.

"Look, I'll pay you back and even pay off your debts. If you want to work with me, I can give you a pretty good job and also whatever money you want. But you have to work with me and follow all my rules!" Sean said with his cold tone of voice and intimidating gaze.

"Is it appropriate for someone who needs workers to behave like this? Job applicants will definitely think many times about working with such an arrogant boss like you!" said Skye, staring boldly at Sean without fear at all.

Sean moved his body away and laughed. Skye, who heard Sean's laughter, was quite annoyed because Sean's laughter was so dismissive. "With such high pay, will they refuse? Of course not, only a fool would refuse a job with a big paycheck," said Sean, who returned Skye's cold stare.

"In that case, find a smart woman because I'm stupid!" annoyed Skye as she stood up from her seat.

"Be my wife and give birth to a male heir; that's the job I'm offering you," said Sean, quickly making Skye not take a step.

Skye turned her body to stare at Sean with a confused look and a frown on her forehead. "Is being a wife and bearing children such a job that you can speak in such a condescending manner?" Skye asked.

"A contract wife, not a wife who will stay with me forever. After giving birth to a son for me, then you must leave. Don't touch the child at all, let the babysitter take care of my son," replied Skye.

Skye smiled mockingly. How can marriage be considered a contract and a child that has been born then given to a man who does not have a heart like Sean? She also does not want her child to not recognize her as a mother.

"Your child?" asked Skye as she raised one right eyebrow. Skye chuckled, "It's also the child of the woman who conceived it!" Skye was annoyed.

"Find another woman, not me!" she continued in a slightly raised tone of voice.

"I thank you for helping me. I'll pay you back even if I can't pay you back right away. Thank you for your help," Skye said with a smile and then bowed.

She straightened up again. "I'm going," she said and left, leaving Sean, who shouted angrily as the door closed.

"Lowly woman! Helped but refused, you idiot!" Sean was annoyed.

Skye continued walking as she cursed, "Are rich people really that carefree? Why is it so easy to contract marriage? Tsk! How annoying! Why doesn't he just marry his girlfriend? Why does he have to contract marry me? You bastard!" Skye was annoyed.

Skye returned to the hotel ballroom, but she, who had just exited the elevator, was forcibly pulled by someone. It turned out that the person who was pulling and taking her to a corner where there were not many people was her father. "I told you, don't bother my family! Why are you being a bitch who snatched my daughter's future husband?" Jackob asked as he pressed Skye's right shoulder hard, and his other hand was now firmly gripping Skye's chin.

"It hurts..." moaned Skye as she closed her eyes.

Her body ached all over, as her father violently pushed her against the wall earlier, and now her shoulder and chin were being held tightly. Her bones felt like they were going to break.

"You bastard! Let go of your rotten hands!" enraged the person who suddenly helped Skye.

Skye opened her eyes, her eyes now meeting the gaze of the person who was keeping Jackob away from her. Skye just watched the person who was helping her. Skye's wrist was grabbed by the person who helped her, and then he brought Skye's body behind his body.

"Don't you have a heart for your child who is in pain?" the man asked angrily.

"If you don't consider her your child, get out of her life, leave her alone. She already doesn't bother you!" The man continued angrily.

"Who the hell are you! How dare you interfere!" fumed Jackob.

"I'm Jett—Mr. Sean's personal secretary. If you hurt the lady, then you're dealing with Mr. Sean!" Jett replied and warned Jackob not to go any further.

Jackob clenched his fists tightly, and a look of anger crossed his face. He looked at Skye for a while before he left.
