Hundreds of years ago, catastrophe struck while the world slept.
Humans had gotten used to playing God for so long, that they forgot there were some things that should never be messed with. Scientists believed that they could create life.
Like the process of mothers giving life to embryos and birthing children wasn't enough.
Like the millions of undiscovered creatures in the seas or the billions of unanswered questions in the world, weren't enough.
Driven by their debatable ambition, scientists decided to create life itself. A new kind of life. Something they could hone and make to run their dirty biddings. Something to make humans more powerful - especially the elites.
However, these scientists forgot that life could only exist in balance with death. And for something to live, another had to die.
There was an error in their experiments, and it led to the birth of things they couldn't control. No one knows exactly what went wrong or how. All that is known is that one morning, humans woke up to beasts ravaging their world.
Monsters with wings so huge, cities fell into darkness when these monsters took flight.
Monsters whose roars reawakened long-dead volcanoes, and pulled up destruction-seeking tsunamis.
Monsters that could weave into darkness, and use shadows as portals. Monsters with cries that echoed the end of humanity.
The scientists indeed succeeded in birthing something new.
The chaotic blend of DNA strands and genetic manipulations birthed a problem that affected 90% of the animals on Earth and 80% of the plants.
The world was slowly fading away from what it once was, and humans were rapidly dwindling in number.
In a matter of time, most of the world was overrun with these monsters, and hope seemed to be a distant dream for humans.
But as they say, desperation is the mother of invention.
With fear of losing everything they held dear, humans fought back. Holding on, till a certain king stumbled upon a beast's nest. He found dozens of eggs. Hundreds of colourful eggs that whispered promises of redemption.
He found them, and he stole them.
Soon these eggs hatched into little, weird creatures. Younglins of the beast that threatened the very fabric of the world.
This king was able to train and even bond with some of these younglings. Gaining enhanced abilities and strength from the creatures he was able to bond with.
King AZRITH. The first human to bond with a beast and the first human to tame and hone at least twelve beast younglings.
With Azrith's findings, selected soldiers were able to bond with creatures depending on the soldier's soul power. The enhanced abilities given by these creatures enhanced the bearers' strengths and allowed humans a somewhat levelled ground in the battle against the monsters.
Many years later, this tradition has continued. On the year they turn 18, every human gets the chance to be chosen by a beast egg(how the eggs are gotten will be discussed in the book). After years of training, those deemed strong enough will be recruited into the army that fights against the beasts.
So far, 50% of Earth has been claimed back by humans, but the monsters are not relenting. This is a war of determination and wits.
And some say, only the master tamer - The reincarnation of King AZRITH can help save the world.
These Are The Ranking Of The Beasts;
There are 7 ranks when it comes to the beast and their powers. Namely; Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron, and Stone ranks.
The Stone Rank;
Is the lowest rank in existence. In fact, the rank is so low, they are claimed to have gone extinct. The beasts from this rank give the most minimum ability with a 5% increase of senses to their bearer. Ending up with a beast from this rank can be said to be a curse.
The bearer of such a beat won't be able to get a job or live a proper life, and they would be forced to fend through begging. Except if they by some miracle can get the painstakingly rare and expensive resources that can help the beast evolve to Iron rank 2. The highest level Stone Rank creatures can evolve to. Thankfully, no stone-rank beast has been hatched in the past hundred years.
The Iron Rank;
This rank is divided into two tiers. Beasts that belong to tier 2 of this rank, increase their bearer's senses by 10%. It's not the best, but they are better than Stone-ranked beasts, and stand better chances at getting jobs. Even though they are measly jobs. With proper cultivation, they can evolve to Bronze rank 2, or stay stuck on Iron rank Tier 1.
Tier 1 isn't much better either. The tier 2 iron rank beasts give a 15% increase to their bearers' senses. The bearers of these beast still work minimal jobs, but get better pay than the Tier 2 tamers. If the right evolution path is followed, they can evolve to bronze rank.
The Bronze Rank;
This rank is also divided into 2 tiers and is the lowest everyone hopes to get. The Bronze rank tier 2 beasts give their tamers a 40% increase in senses and abilities. Offering better jobs and a manageable life. If evolved right, can reach Bronze Tier 1 or Silver rank.
Tier 1 Bronze beasts give their tamers a 50% increase in senses and agility and a better life. With proper cultivation, a solid Bronze rank 1 beast can evolve to Silver tier 2, and even Silver, tier 1 with the right resources. The Bronze rank is considered the middle-class life.
The Silver Rank;
This rank is also in two tiers. Tier 2 Silver rank beasts give their tamers a 75% increase in abilities. This is where the elite class of society begins. With proper cultivation, a Silver tier 2 beast can evolve to tier 1 but not gold.
A silver rank tier 1 beast gives its bearer an 85% increase in strength and ability. With proper cultivation, can get to Gold rank.
The Gold Rank;
These rank beasts are very rare to find. The last tamer who got a gold rank beast was Ivana's father. King Dalen.
These beasts are powerful creatures which give their tamers 100% increase in all senses. They are so rare to find, that many don't even dream of getting a gold-ranked beast. Silver and bronze are enough to hope for.
The Platinum Rank;
This rank is so rare to find that a platinum beast hasn't been hatched in two thousand years. These beasts are masters of elements that control power within and outside the human realm. Giving their tamers an almost spiritual edge. A combination that can be quite dangerous if merged with the wrong human. Finally...
The Diamond Rank;
This is the beast rank of the great king Azrith. Beasts of this rank are rumoured to be able to control other beasts and allow their bearer to hone more than one beast. These beasts are so powerful when merged with humans that even the monsters terrorizing humans, fear the fusion. They manipulate energy and time and grant extreme longevity to their hosts. There has only been one record of such a beast. And that was the beast of King Azrith. Aeons ago.
