In a barren land far removed from civilization, an entity was formed from the void, taking on the shape of a tall, slender, and attractive man. When the man opened his eyes, he surveyed the lifeless expanse around him. As he scanned the area, he sensed a creature about 12 meters away and instantly teleported into the sky. His steady gaze fell upon a towering monster, the Cezanne, which had six elongated legs and loomed as large as mountains. Unbeknownst to the creature, he had made no effort to conceal his presence. Upon noticing him, the Cezanne declared in a guttural voice, 'Human food, food, food,' and charged at him with malicious intent, ready to devour him with its enormous jaws and pincers. Unmoved, he stood resolute and extended his right hand, commanding, 'Be gone,' and the creature dissolved into nothingness. "Hmm, that was dull. I shouldn't eliminate everything I encounter; I should locate the human cities and blend in instead." With a revised plan, he teleported to the nearest human settlement where he encountered humans, elves, beastmen, and uninteresting other species. His eyes wandered over their clothing styles before he looked at himself, muttering, "I don't fit in. I need to change." His form transformed, draping him in fine white clothing that resembled the citizens' attire but with a more noble flair. As he descended onto the street and began to walk, he attracted the attention of the townspeople, as it was the first time they had seen a noble in their midst. He ignored the glances filled with disdain, aware that nobles—especially spoiled young aristocrats—had a notorious reputation for seducing women, both married and single, only to dispose of them once their desires were satisfied, leaving them for dead in the gutter.
While wandering the city, he noticed a building that piqued his curiosity. "Ah, a guild for Ascenders," he read. Entering with his hands behind his back, he caught the attention of the Ascenders' masters, who eyed him greedily, particularly drawn to his attire. Whispers floated around the room: "Look at that noble brat wandering as if he owns the place," and another replied, "Shh, lower your voice! If he hears you, I don't want trouble. I'm happy with my life—I don't want to be near someone dangerous." Anyway, he approached the counter, ignoring the murmurs, where a lovely attendant in a form-fitting white shirt and knee-length skirt sat, although the garment did little to conceal her ample figure. Upon sensing his presence, she lifted her head and thought, "So handsome," though her face remained impassive. Our protagonist caught her whisper and smiled at her. "Hello, I'm new here and I would like to become an Ascender," he stated. The guild fell silent. Suddenly, laughter erupted like a chain reaction as all the Ascender masters mocked him. He stared at the group, whom he regarded as insignificant, and delivered the command, "Silence!" His voice bore such an authoritative and icy tone that the room fell still, each individual feeling an overwhelming, dreadful aura that left some trembling in fear, while others fainted or sputtered blood.
"Oh no, I messed up. I need to fix this," he thought, raising his right hand and snapping his fingers; time froze, and he observed the terrified faces around him. "Return to normal," he instructed, and the laws of time began to reverse. After witnessing the goings-on return to their previous state, he turned back and repeated, "Hello, I'm new here and I would like to become an Ascender." The attendant nodded and opened her desk to retrieve a registration form, complete with ink and quill. "Here," she said, handing it to him. He filled it out and returned it to her. She reviewed the details and stamped it with the guild's seal before handing him a token. "This is your verification token as a member of our Ascension guild. You can explore quests on the first floor," she instructed before returning to her seat. After absorbing her explanation, he proceeded to the first floor, murmuring to himself, "What an unusual world indeed."
