Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: Dual Lives

From the outside, Aryan Varma's life looked picture perfect.

Three years old.

Top student in a prestigious school.

Polite, charming, obedient.

A loving family, a famous business background, and a sister who adored him.

But what no one knew was—Aryan was living two lives.

By day, he was the golden boy of Prestige Global Academy, solving math problems faster than his teachers and correcting historical dates in storybooks.

By evening, he was on the training ground with Sandeep sir, practicing cover drives, reverse sweeps, and slower ball variations.

And by night—long after the world had gone to sleep—he was inside the system, simulating match scenarios, learning from the greats, and building skills years ahead of his age.

At school, Aryan's teachers were in awe.

He wasn't loud, didn't show off, and never made anyone feel small. Yet, when the principal asked, "Who's the smartest kid in class?"—every student pointed to Aryan.

In sports class, he dominated the mini cricket sessions. His technique, even with foam bats, was elegant. The PE teacher once joked, "We're raising the next Sachin here."

Aryan just smiled.

He couldn't say he'd already studied Sachin's technique from 1992 to 2011, broken down every innings through the system, and practiced against it in simulation mode.

He was preparing for a bigger stage.

---

Back at home, Aanya watched him with a mix of curiosity and admiration.

"Why do you always practice alone at night?" she asked one evening, finding him shadow-batting in front of a mirror.

"I just like to get better," Aryan said. "I want to be ready when the time comes."

She didn't question it. Instead, she became his biggest supporter.

If Aryan needed cones, Aanya set them up.

If he wanted to time drills secretly, she'd keep watch and help him track them on a stopwatch.

Their bond grew stronger—not just as siblings, but as early teammates.

---

Coach Sandeep started noticing something strange.

Aryan's improvement wasn't just rapid—it was unbelievable.

"Your footwork is years ahead of your age," Sandeep said during one session. "And your hand-eye coordination… it's like you've been training for a decade."

Aryan just nodded. "I want to play for India. For RCB."

Sandeep smiled, thinking it was a child's dream.

But Aryan wasn't dreaming.

He was executing a plan.

> [System Reminder: IPL Begins in 2008 – 15 Years Remaining]

RCB Debut Plan: Progress – 0.7%

---

At home, Aryan's nights were more intense than ever.

He ran solo drills.

Simulated 1-on-1 matches against junior bowlers.

Practiced fast stumpings like Dhoni.

Simulated yorkers like Bumrah.

Studied power-hitting like Maxwell.

> Skill Syncs Activated: Keeper Mode (MSD), Death Bowling (Future Unlock), Power Hitting (Locked until Strength Lv. 3)

He even added mental conditioning to his routine—visualizing pressure moments, training in silence, meditating to sharpen focus.

Aryan wasn't just a cricketer.

He was an all-round weapon in the making.

---

One evening, Sandeep brought Aryan to a local U-10 friendly match—just to observe.

But when one team's opener got injured, a coach jokingly said, "Let the little one try. What's the harm?"

Sandeep hesitated. "He's not registered—"

"He can just fill in. No scores. No pressure."

Aryan stepped in with a smile.

He scored 52* in 28 balls.

Kids five years older than him couldn't get him out.

He played late cuts, paddle sweeps, quick singles, lofted drives.

The coaches on the sidelines were stunned.

"Who is this kid?" one asked.

Sandeep just smiled.

"He's someone… we're going to hear a lot about."

> [System Objective Completed: Score 50+ in Local U-10 Match]

Trial Token Unlocked: State Level Invitation (U-10)

New Objective: Impress Selectors with All-Round Performance

---

That night, Aryan lay in bed.

Bat beside him.

Fingers slightly blistered.

Eyes calm. Heart steady.

He wasn't just living two lives anymore.

He was blending them.

School genius by morning.

Cricket machine by night.

And one day soon—the world would know.

Aryan Varma was coming.
