Chapter 1 - Land of Black (1)

A petite and small Albino girl with pink eyes sat on a floating broom, amused by the girl holding a glowing red Katana. The Albino girl excitedly spoke to her. "Sister-In law, why do you not want me to tell my boyfriend—Your brother about the Land of Black, I am very tired of lying to him you know."

The girl looking opposite to her had long black hair that reached her waist and deep blue eyes that gave the Albino girl a glare. "I don't want to involve Han with this dangerous world."

The Albino Girl, Kyrie, sighed. "Hima, please...I can't keep lying to him, he stays home all by himself, I know the feeling too but he at least has a normal life, but he is also sad you don't stay long with him, if you won't tell him, I will do it myself and I'll move in with him so I can protect him."

Hima's grip on her Katan increased. "...Tsk, Fine, don't tell him about what I am doing but teach him about the Land of Black and it's dangers, and make sure to properly take care of him, he doesn't eat on time and sometimes he doesn't eat at all?!!."

Kyrie grinned wide, the mischievous glint in her pink eyes now impossible to hide. "Of course! I'll make sure to tell him everything he needs to know. And don't worry, I'll make sure he eats... even if I have to cook it myself." She twirled her broom around her fingers before hopping back onto it, her legs dangling in the air as she hovered a few inches above the ground.

Hima's gaze softened, the tension in her posture loosening just slightly. "You better... He's not as strong as you think he is. If anything happens to him, I'll personally come after you."

...

It was summer break and Han missed his sister, it was always like this ever since three years ago she doesn't stay home that much anymore, he hated it and he was worried about her.

*DING*

"Damn it?!. The doorbell is loud, I should probably change it later, let's see who came." Han stood up from his bed and walked down stairs towards the door when he opened it he saw a familiar figure that immediately clinged to him, a small, soft body wrapping tightly around his midsection with surprising force for someone so petite.

"Han~!" Kyrie's voice rang out sweetly as she nuzzled her cheek against his chest. "Did you miss me?"

Han blinked in surprise, staring down at the snow-white hair and catching a glimpse of those bright pink eyes as she looked up at him with a cheeky grin. "...Kyrie? What are you doing here?"

She smiled, still hugging him. "Can't your girlfriend visit you and also You're sister asked me to move in with you so I can take care of you better."

Han inked he slowly placed a hand on her head. "If you just wanted to visit you could have tell me Kyrie."

Kyrie giggled at the hand on her head, leaning into the gentle touch like a cat basking in sunlight. "But where's the fun in that?" she teased, her voice light and playful. "Besides, surprising you is way more satisfying." She finally released him from the hug, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation, broom in hand.

Han closed the door behind her, still processing everything. "Wait—hold on. Move in with me? What do you mean 'take care of me'? I'm not a kid."

Kyrie turned to face him, hands on her hips, that same grin still dancing on her lips. "That's not what your sister said. Apparently, you forget to eat, sleep too little, and live like some kind of cryptid in a cave. I'm here to fix that."

Han let out a sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. "She's exaggerating."

"Really?" Kyrie raised an eyebrow and walked into the kitchen. She opened the fridge and blinked. "Han. There's half a slice of pizza, expired milk, and… a single tomato in here. This is a crime scene."

He flushed a little. "I was going to go shopping later."

"You say that every time," she said, pulling out the tomato and inspecting it with a mock-scientific squint. "This poor tomato has been through war."

He laughed despite himself. "Okay, okay, fine. I get it."

Kyrie turned back around, serious for a moment. "I'm really going to stay here for a while. Not just because your sister asked me to. I want to. You matter to me, Han."

That silenced him.

For a moment, the only sound was the low hum of the fridge. He looked at her, her small frame standing so confidently in his cluttered kitchen, and something warm stirred in his chest. "I can't argue with you... so you're staying in my room?."

Kyrie's cheeks flushed a pale pink, but she quickly masked it with a teasing smile. "I was thinking more along the lines of the guest room," she replied, her voice light as she began rummaging through the cabinets. "But if you insist on me staying in your room..." She gave him a sly wink, her tone dripping with playfulness. "I could always consider it."

Han stared at her for a moment, caught off guard by her boldness, before shaking his head with a small chuckle. "I mean, I don't mind I trust you enough to not do anything to me while I am asleep and plus, I may sleep better with you around, but the guest room sounds like a better idea." He smiled, trying to ignore the odd warmth spreading through him at the thought of her being in his space.

Kyrie pouted, crossing her arms. "Spoil all my fun, huh? Fine, fine. The guest room it is." She made a show of tossing her broom over her shoulder like it was an extension of herself, flopping onto one of the kitchen chairs with a dramatic sigh. "You're no fun, Han."

He laughed again, walking over to her with a teasing smile. "You could occasionally come to my room if you want, I don't mind you coming in and squeezing me."

Kyrie chuckled and smiled. "Okay, I'll occasionally come to your room five times a week."

Han scratched the back of his head. "That's the entire week though... nevermind that, why did you bring a broom with you?."

Kyrie perked up, her eyes gleaming with pride as she lifted the broom slightly into view. "Oh, this old thing?" she said with a grin. "It's not just for sweeping, you know. It's my ride."

Han blinked. "...Your ride?"

Kyrie nodded eagerly. "Yup! It flies. Fast, too. Perfect for getting around quickly—and for dramatic entrances, obviously."

Han stared at her for a beat, then slowly sat down across from her. "So… you're telling me you flew here?"

"From the Land of Black's edge, actually," she said nonchalantly, inspecting her nails like it was no big deal. "It was either this or teleport, but teleporting messes up my hair and honestly? That's a dealbreaker."

Han raised an eyebrow. "You're serious."

"As serious as your sister is scary," she replied, twirling the broom idly between her fingers. "Which, by the way, is very serious. She threatened me with that katana of hers, you know?"

Han lips twitched, he was not understanding any of her words, he walked closer to her and kneeled to meet her eye level. "I do not get anything you said at all."

Kyrie covered her lips slightly. "If you wanted a kiss...just ask."

Han's eyes twitched, he brought his hand close to her and flicked her forehead with a soft thwack. "That's not what I meant, you little menace."

Kyrie winced exaggeratedly, rubbing her forehead and letting out a playful gasp. "Abuse! I've been assaulted in my own boyfriend's house!" she cried out dramatically, flopping onto the table like a fainting heroine from a cheesy drama. "Is this the thanks I get for flying all this way, risking bad hair days and sibling wrath?"

Han rolled his eyes, chuckling despite himself. "You're impossible."

"And you're hopeless," Kyrie shot back, peeking up at him with a grin. "But lucky for you, I'm here to fix that."

He stood back up, shaking his head. "Okay then, Miss Fix-Everything. Since you're here, and apparently here to stay, we might as well set some ground rules."

Kyrie sat up straighter, eyes gleaming with curiosity. "Ooh, are we playing house now? Should I call you hubby?"

Han rolled his eyes, he brought a hand towars her face and gently cupped one of her cheeks. "Kyrie, what is the Land of Black and tell me what you mean by 'flying'."

Kyrie's playful grin faltered just a bit at the sudden seriousness in Han's touch and tone. The pink in her eyes dimmed slightly as she leaned into his hand, her expression softening.

"You really want to know?" she asked quietly, all the teasing draining from her voice.

Han nodded, his thumb brushing against her cheek. "I want to understand. You've been saying all these strange things, and now my sister's got you moving in with me. I know something's going on… and I don't want to be left in the dark anymore."

Kyrie looked down for a moment, conflicted, before finally taking a deep breath. "Alright. No more games."

She gently pushed his hand away, not unkindly, and stood from the chair, broom still in hand. With a quiet hum, she raised it slightly, and in a blink, it lifted her an inch or two off the floor. The faint shimmer of dark mist circled her ankles.

"This… is magic," she said softly. "And the Land of Black? It's a place where magic is real—where monsters, curses, corrupted spirits, and ancient power reside. A realm twisted by time and chaos. Your sister, Hima, goes there to fight things humans shouldn't even know about."

Han's mouth opened slightly, stunned. "You're… not joking."

Kyrie shook her head. "Nope. And I'm only telling you because she gave me permission to teach you. Not tell you everything she does. She wants to keep you safe, Han. She's scared."

He walked over to the window and stared out blankly for a moment. "So she's been risking her life this whole time…"

"Yes," Kyrie said simply. "And now that you know about the Land of Black, that makes you a little less safe. The shadows there… they notice when someone starts becoming aware."

Han turned back to her. "So what do I do? Just… stay inside and pretend I didn't hear all this?"

Kyrie's gaze locked with his, serious and unwavering. "No. You learn. You learn how to protect yourself, how to resist their whispers. And I'll teach you."

Han walked back up to her slowly. "So all this time, you were lying about being a regular girl. And here I thought you were just weird."

She gave a little shrug. "I am an Albino witch, even among witches I am weird."

Han stared at her for a long moment, then finally let out a soft chuckle. "Yeah… that actually explains a lot."

Kyrie gave him a small, almost shy smile this time—different from her usual smirking mischief. "You're not scared?"

"I'm terrified," he said honestly, his eyes locking with hers. "But I'd be more scared if you weren't here."

For a moment, the room was quiet again, that rare kind of silence filled with unspoken emotion. Then Kyrie stepped closer, tapping the end of her broom gently against the floor to dispel the remaining mist. She looked up at him, pink eyes intense.

"Then let's make a deal," she said, holding out her pinky finger. "You trust me to teach you, and I trust you to take care of yourself. No more skipping meals, no more ignoring danger. You take this seriously, and I'll make sure you survive."

Han looked at her hand, then linked his pinky with hers. "Deal."

The pinky promise sealed, Kyrie gave a satisfied nod. "Good. Training starts tomorrow. And trust me—this isn't going to be easy."

He groaned. "Can I at least sleep in today?"

Kyrie raised an eyebrow. "I mean sure, but I would have to sleep with you then."

Han rubbed the back of his head, a faint pink was on his cheeks. "If its only that, it isn't bad."

Kyrie blushed and stared at the ground. "....huh, I-I guess that's good."

And thus the day continued normally..
