Chapter 2 - Ch-2

"Hell yeah, I want to fight," I spoke as I tore my shirt off. The fabric had already been messed up and was proving to be more of a hassle than not.

walking up to him I raised my hand forward. My grin stretched across my face. "Before we fight, nice to meet you, Taesoo."

He seemed interested as he raised an eyebrow; however, he too soon shook my hand, his grip firm.

Stepping two steps back, I got ready for the fight that was incoming. The King of Ansan, his first entry was back in the Sun of Ansan Arc, and everybody had the same reaction as me.

'This man had aura.'.

A single right hand to take down the opponent? Now that's cool.

Of course getting humiliated by James Lee just afterwards wasn't cool, but he still was one of my favorite characters.

'Let's see how strong this body is.'

I rushed forward towards him. His body was locked, ready to throw the punch the moment I got in range. His hips twisted, and his knuckles made their way towards my head.

'If that hits me, then I am dead.'

I knew that much; however, this fight wasn't meant to be about defeating the King of Ansan; it was about finding out about the body's current capabilities.

'My eyes can follow his hand.' My white sclera moved as his fist inched towards me.

The Ultra Instinct, A state where the fighter enters a form of unconsciousness and their bodies' senses and abilities heighten to their maximum possible levels; hence, any extra and unnecessary thoughts, feelings, or emotions are completely erased for the time being.

'dodge'

Slipping under his punch, I quickly used a weaving technique, landing a body shot to his right.

He ate the punch like it was nothing. His fist changed directions, heading towards me.

'He is tired'. Perhaps from all the fighting he did, I could tell this wasn't his fastest speed. Perhaps at full strength he could have ended me in an instant.

Weave

A bit of boxing training from the past kicked in; I sidestepped, evading his punch once again, and landed a clear cross on his jaw.

My punch hit him; however, his jaw didn't even turn. Looking at me with unbothered eyes, he spoke, "Your speed is good; however, your strength is truly pathetic."

I quickly stepped back. Getting out of his range, smirking at him, I spoke, "My strength is bad, huh?"

'UI isn't all I have.'.

Shifting into a stance I just saw, I grinned like a madman. His shocked face just made it even more pleasurable. "Was this how you did it?"

Rushing at him, I barely dodged his attack before attacking him with his very own technique.

Copy

boom

My punch left a shallow bruise on him; he stopped. "You." He moved forward. I tried to step back only to find a concrete wall behind me. "Cannot copy my strength."

Of course, the copy was only as strong as the user; without belief in my fist, I couldn't copy his strength.

"You got me," I spoke, as there was no way for me to go. He raised his inevitable fist, planning to end me in one strike.

I had to get out of this position. Fighting honorably was cool, but I wasn't planning on getting brain damage on my first day here.

"HAHA, you don't even know who is behind you, do you?" He paused. Seeing him almost fall for my bluff, I continued, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Gapryong Kim."

I almost smirked seeing his eyes widen. He quickly turned back to find the man. Seeing the opportunity, I ducked in between the space between him and the wall and took off in a run.

Looking back, I stuck my tongue out, "Next time we see each other, Taesoo, I will be strong enough to beat you."

I didn't wait for his reaction. One near-death experience was good enough. While it wasn't easy to tell in a Manhwa panel, however, when he raised his fist, one could feel the aura of death surrounding them.

"And this is just early Taesoo. He became the King of Ansan today after all," I muttered as I sprinted out of the arcade.

After running for a few minutes, I could finally assure myself that I wouldn't find Taesoo anywhere.

Now the biggest question.

'Who the hell am I?'.

I didn't even know the name of this body. Was this a real person or just a physique crafted for me?

Looking back, I realized I shouldn't have torn my shirt, as I could have at least made out the school I was in.

My hands shifted downwards; rummaging through my pants, I found an old and tattered wallet.

Opening it, I found a few won, which was basically chump change, and a single ID.

' Apollo Rayden.' I smirked, seeing how badass my name sounded.

Looking beside my name, I realized I studied in the 'Ansan public.'. A basic government school.

From what I could gather, the boy didn't even have parents, and judging by the picture in the wallet, it seemed he lived in an orphanage.

'The Sun Orphanage'

Ironic, I let out a hollow laugh as I read that; it was the same in both worlds; I had no parents there as well and had to grow up in a shitty orphanage.

'I still remember eating instant ramen every day.'.

However, not in this life; in this life I would be strong... No, I would be the strongest and the richest.

"Kid, you are blocking the road." Looking up, I saw a man pushing his head outside his car, shouting at me to step beside.

That's when I realized I was standing in the middle of the road.

'You call this a road?' I was confused; however, I still stepped back.

'First, let's find this so-called home.'

Looking around, I found an old grandma taking groceries... Walking up to her, I asked, "Ma'am, do you know where the Sun Orphanage is?"

She smiled kindly and replied, "It's about a half an hour walk from here, boy, in the Micho District. You will probably need to take a taxi."

I smirked as I heard her, 'I wonder what robbing someone would be like.'.
