Chapter 6 - JKGA: Chapter 6

Suguru Geto had no choice but to pull out a few kimonos and put them in the backpack. He flipped through the toiletries the butler had packed for Gojo Satoru, deciding they weren't enough, so he rushed into the bathroom and grabbed an unopened bottle of body wash and an unopened bottle of shampoo.

He was fierce and serious, like he was heading into battle. He also casually took the house's charger and game console. As he passed Gojo Satoru's shelf, he glanced at the strange ornaments on the shelf and decisively swept a few gold ornaments into his backpack.

"Do you have any cash?"

The butler: "..."

This really looked like he was sending Gojo-sama to seek refuge abroad!

After preparing everything, Suguru Geto slung the backpack over his shoulder and rushed out of the courtyard.

"Teacher, let's go!"

Masamichi Yaga quickly bid farewell to the head of the Gojo family. He was about to invite Suguru Geto into the car when he saw Suguru Geto's flying cursed spirit grab the assistant supervisor's car and lift it, along with the assistant supervisor, into the sky.

The next second, Masamichi Yaga was also flying.

Masamichi Yaga: "..."

I know you're in a hurry, but don't rush.

The sky had completely darkened.

They finally found the general location, but they couldn't find the specific village.

With that, Suguru Geto couldn't fly everyone himself, so they had to sit in the car and have the assistant supervisor drive around, asking if there were any very remote villages nearby.

Finally, they successfully found out the exact location of the village. The person who gave them directions also said that most of the normal villagers had already run away. The ones who remained were all gloomy old-fashioned people who were very wary of outsiders.

They drove up the mountain, and the road became increasingly difficult. They had only driven a short distance when the assistant supervisor suddenly slammed on the brakes.

"Someone ahead!"

They rolled down the windows and craned their necks. A group of villagers were carrying two people on stretchers, slowly walking down the mountain. They were using flashlights to barely illuminate the path ahead, and they seemed to be in a hurry.

"Hurry, hurry, hurry! Don't let the monster catch up!"

"Keep it down! We finally rescued them from under the monster's nose!"

"Ahhhhh, ahhhhhhhh, oh god! Is he about to die?!"

"Quiet!!!"

A woman was crying with tears streaming down her face. Lying on the stretcher was a fat man. His wrist was crudely bandaged, and blood was still seeping out. The stretcher behind him carried an old man. His leg was twisted at a terrifying angle, clearly broken.

The woman wailed, "Call the police! Call the police! We have to call the police!"

The other villagers didn't respond. The headman opened his eyes and said weakly, "We can't... what if, what if the police investigate the Kaga couple?"

They hadn't actually killed anyone, but they had taken over the Kaga family's house, land, and valuables. They had abandoned Kaga when he fell down the slope and later forced his wife to her death. This was why they had almost been killed by "Kaga's friend."

These things were really hard to explain, especially for him, who had taken the house and then decided to give the land to the others. Who knows if the police would sentence him?

The woman cried out in fear and anger, "How can we just let this go? We can't let that white monster get away! You can tell he's not a good person just by looking at his eyes!"

At that moment, they finally noticed the black car parked not far away. The villagers all stopped and looked wary.

A car? City people? Could this be Kaga's friend?!

They had all been involved in the Kaga family's affairs, more or less, and had benefited from it. The villagers were all a little uneasy.

Masamichi Yaga saw this and whispered to Suguru Geto, "Geto, you go up first and see what's going on. We'll stay here."

Suguru Geto understood. He opened the car door, rushed into the forest, and flew upwards using the cursed spirit as cover.

The road ahead was indeed getting more and more difficult. The car couldn't get through, and even walking up would be a lot of trouble. After flying for about fifteen minutes, he finally saw a small, dilapidated village.

His feeling of unease intensified.

You're late Suguru.

[TL: Made a mistake here, I realized at chapter 20+. Instead of "You're really slow, Geto." , it's actually "You're late Suguru.". please comment down if I missed any, I'm currently changing it one by one per chapter.]

Gojo Satoru's voice from a few days ago echoed in his mind. A sense of panic surged up, and Suguru Geto frowned fiercely.

He flew towards the direction of the firelight. Soon, Suguru Geto saw a group of villagers holding torches, surrounding a young man. There were also several people lying on the ground. As he approached, he smelled a faint scent of blood.

The white-haired boy sat in front of a dilapidated house, listlessly playing with something like a Rubik's Cube. Behind him, a pair of young twins were tightly embracing each other. The atmosphere was extremely dangerous, as if a battle was about to break out.

Suguru Geto blurted out, "Gojo!"

The twins were startled and looked up.

The guy surrounded by the villagers was indeed Gojo Satoru. He heard Suguru Geto's voice and smiled, "Geto, if you don't come, I'm going to die of boredom. By the way, did you bring me a charger?"

Suguru Geto landed on the ground amidst the villagers' cries, "Gojo, what—did you do again?"

His arrival changed the tense atmosphere. The villagers held their torches and cautiously retreated a distance. A buzzing sound of discussion reached Suguru Geto's ears, "Monster," "He's the monster's companion," "Devil," "Don't let them escape," "We have to go find an exorcist..."

What... are they saying?

An ominous premonition arose in Suguru Geto's heart again.

Gojo Satoru looked innocent, "I didn't do anything. I just cut off a fat guy's hand, broke an old man's leg, and knocked out a bunch of blind fools. These two girls are yours. If they stay in this village, they'll be killed sooner or later. Oh, and their mother is dead in this house. Give her a proper burial, but don't bury her here. It's easy to get dug up."

He didn't explain the cause or effect, but the implication was clear. He had hurt non-sorcerers again.

Suguru Geto remembered the villagers who had just come down the mountain, and his heart sank.

Those people, it was Gojo who did it.

He widened his eyes in disbelief, "...Gojo, are you crazy? We're Jujutsu High students, no matter what, you—"

"Pfft, ha, hahahaha... hahahaha..." Unexpectedly, Gojo Satoru burst into laughter. He said cheerfully, "Geto~ So you think it's crazy, too~?"

Hearing his nonchalant tone, Suguru Geto angrily shouted, "Gojo!!!"

Gojo Satoru's smiling expression disappeared.

He calmly looked at Suguru Geto's anxious face, judging which one looked more helpless: the one in front of him now or the Gojo Satoru who had broken away from Shinjuku. He heard Suguru Geto almost roar at him, "Do you know what it means for a Jujutsu sorcerer to hurt a non-sorcerer?! I'm telling you, it's not just me here today. There's also the assistant supervisor and—"

"I know." Gojo Satoru said calmly, "If you hurt a non-sorcerer, you'll be treated as a curse user. It doesn't really matter, does it? Remember to pick a handsome photo for the bounty. The one on my student ID looks too dull no matter how you look at it. Oh, and post the bounty early. If you're late, it'll be pointless."

"You jerk!!! We're still fighting for you, we're still working hard for you, and you're casually saying it doesn't matter if you become a curse user? Damn it, do you know what it means to become a curse user? Don't you want your bright future anymore?!"

"..."

Ah, it's completely reversed.

The questioner and the questioned, the crazy one and the one trying to save him.

Gojo Satoru thought he understood Suguru Geto's feelings now.

But—

"Geto." Gojo Satoru smiled pleasantly, using the gentlest tone, "What bright future do we have?"

All of Suguru Geto's anger felt like it had been doused with a bucket of cold water.

He stepped back dejectedly, realizing something was far beyond their control.

"...Gojo, tell me, what exactly happened to you?"

He could feel it.

Everything started on the last day of the Star Plasma Vessel incident.

Geto, you go first!

That day, before they parted ways, Gojo was still fine. He would confidently brag to him, say things like "Don't worry, you have me," or "Leave this to me." But in the blink of an eye, Gojo Satoru said that their future had no bright prospects, and that it didn't matter if he became a curse user.
