Chapter 12 - Chapter 12:Plundering the Thread of Time

The small glacier river was about fifteen kilometers away from Garon's current location. At his speed, a full-speed dash wouldn't take long to reach it.

However, having left the safe territory of the White Dragon Mother, Garon maintained sufficient caution and vigilance.

He restrained his Dragon Might and controlled his flight speed to prevent generating whistling winds and sounds that could attract the attention of powerful beings.

But when Garon had flown about five kilometers, with ten kilometers still to the small glacier river, trouble still came looking for him.

A giant eagle with a wingspan even larger than Garon's, a full ten meters, soared above Garon. After spotting him, its rapidly moving body paused slightly, then flew towards Garon without hesitation.

Garon heard the movement and looked up.

The creature with white feathers and wings swirling with violent winds appeared in his vision.

A magical creature, the White-feathered Icewind Eagle.

Garon's heart tightened, but he wasn't too nervous.

It wasn't his first encounter with a magical creature. Within the White Dragon Mother's territory, there weren't very powerful magical creatures, but ordinary ones still existed in large numbers. Over the past year, Garon had killed some, but most of them were super small magical creatures like trivial ice snakes and wind-spitting birds.

The White-feathered Icewind Eagle in front of him, however, was large in size, seemingly a head taller than Garon at first glance.

Whoosh!

In a shrill tearing sound, the White-feathered Icewind Eagle flew straight towards Garon's position like a fighter jet.

At the same time, it flapped its wings, and immediately a gust of cold wind arose, mixed with a large number of tiny ice needles, falling towards Garon's position like a torrential rain.

"A flat-feathered beast."

"Although I don't want to actively cause trouble, it doesn't mean I'm easy to bully."

"Perfect timing to test my new ability on you."

Garon didn't want to make a fuss, afraid of attracting the attention of creatures with power similar to the White Dragon Mother, not the White-feathered Icewind Eagle in front of him.

He snorted lightly, opened his dragon mouth, and breathed at the White-feathered Icewind Eagle.

No frosty breath belonging to a white dragon spewed out, causing the White-feathered Icewind Eagle to pause slightly. In its vision, Garon seemed to only make a spitting gesture but didn't exhale any dragon breath.

Was this little white dragon stupid?

The White-feathered Icewind Eagle thought in confusion.

Immediately, a formless and intangible linear wave swept across the White-feathered Icewind Eagle.

It let out a terrified screech, its body rapidly lost strength, its eyes became cloudy, its originally brightly colored feathers turned dull, its magic power circulation became extremely obscure and slow, and at the same time, its body suffered energy damage that was difficult to defend against. Its feathers were torn apart, and blood and flesh splattered.

This was Garon's recently acquired new ability belonging to the Time Dragon, a dragon breath called Plundering the Thread of Time.

An invisible dragon breath in a straight line, difficult for the naked eye to see, and because it was a supernatural ability, ordinary detection magic was also difficult to perceive.

After regaining its senses, the White-feathered Icewind Eagle hurriedly dodged, leaving the attack range of Plundering the Thread of Time.

Garon closed his mouth because Plundering the Thread of Time consumed a lot of energy. He didn't continue to pursue the opponent with dragon breath but activated the accelerated state of Time Manipulation.

The flow of time around his body sped up by two times, and his body movements instantly became agile and nimble, completely inconsistent with his body size.

The cold wind and ice needles brushed against Garon's body but were nimbly dodged by him.

Immediately, the White-feathered Icewind Eagle, severely injured by Plundering the Thread of Time, only saw a blur before its eyes, and Garon's figure was already close at hand.

"Let you ambush me!"

Garon's two dragon claws slapped out in a double-fisted ear strike. The speed of his claws, doubled by Time Manipulation, was extremely fast, heavily striking the White-feathered Icewind Eagle's head.

Splatter!

Garon clearly felt flesh and blood mixed with bones being smashed into minced meat under his dragon claws.

Next, grabbing the headless corpse of the White-feathered Icewind Eagle, Garon flew to the ground and began to eat. The meat of magical creatures was always highly nutritious.

While eating, Garon recalled the battle process just now.

The Time Dragon's dragon breath, Plundering the Thread of Time, had two effects. First, it aged the opponent at a rate of two years per second. The aging speed depended on Garon's age; for every year Garon aged, the aging speed increased by one year per second. Second, it produced a supernatural damage related to Garon's age, which was difficult to resist with ordinary magic shields or inherent spell resistance.

The consumption mainly involved the time essence that Garon usually swallowed, plus a complex ratio of all types of elemental energy.

Supernatural abilities, spell-like abilities, and spell abilities were all types that were difficult to use in areas without magic. If the foundation of elemental energy was gone, they were difficult to use.

"Most importantly, the opponent can't even see it."

Even if the White-feathered Icewind Eagle frantically dodged after being hit, it was already too late.

"When I live to be a thousand years old, one breath of dragon breath, and the opponent will age a thousand years in one second. Wouldn't they just die of old age directly?"

Garon was very satisfied with the effect of Plundering the Thread of Time and happily finished eating the flesh and blood of the White-feathered Icewind Eagle's body.

Next, he regrouped and flew towards the small glacier river again, encountering no more accidents along the way.

Following the direction of the small glacier river's water flow, Garon moved back and forth, gradually determining that it was a glacier river about twenty kilometers long, and there were no traces of the white dragon's nemesis, the frost giant, nor powerful magical creatures like winter wolves, blue-footed dragon snakes, or arctic dire bears in the surrounding area.

Only some creatures like terror lizards, white hounds, and tide crabs inhabited the vicinity of this glacier river.

Although they possessed some spell-like abilities, they couldn't pose a threat to Garon.

"In the future, I'll usually live under the glacier river and take them as familiars to use as scouts."

"Hmm... I might not need to hunt personally all the time. Let the familiars contribute food to me."

"There are probably creatures in the glacier river as well. I can..."

Garon looked at the winding river water, making plans early in his heart.

But no matter what, the White Dragon Mother's territory was the safest. Building his own nest and surviving was only a last resort.

A moment later, he flapped his dragon wings and returned towards the dragon nest.

"Sigh, White Dragon Mother, I'm just a little dragonet over a year old. I hope you won't treat me so cruelly," Garon, already six meters long, thought in his heart.

Some time later, he returned to the dragon nest.

The White Dragon Mother wasn't there, and Garon breathed a sigh of relief.

His dragon brothers and sister were all there, but the difference in their size compared to Garon was getting bigger and bigger. They didn't look like dragons of the same age at all. Their size was now barely that of oxen and horses, and they didn't dare to act presumptuously in front of Garon after being beaten up so many times.

"Come here, give me a back rub."

Garon lay down on the ground, narrowed his eyes, and said to the two dragon brothers and the little female dragon.

The round trip had made his body and spirit somewhat tired.

The dragon brothers and sister were expressionless, but they skillfully walked to Garon's side and used their dragon claws to beat his back. Their movements were smooth and practiced, clearly showing that they had been oppressed by Garon a lot.

Garon comfortably closed his eyes, enjoying the true dragon massage while slowly recovering his physical and mental energy consumption.

Immediately after, the White Dragon Mother returned, also bringing prey, a giant python more than ten meters long with residual magic power fluctuations on its body, also a magical creature.

Garon immediately opened his eyes and leaned forward, waiting for the White Dragon Mother to distribute the food.

The White Dragon Mother glanced at Garon, then looked at the three little dragons who looked aggrieved and were made to look weak by Garon's presence. A strange emotion gradually appeared in her pale yellow dragon eyes.
