Chapter 4 task completed new power
The faint blue light from the scroll faded as Lee Hwan absorbed the knowledge into his mind. His body trembled—not from fear, but from the rush of raw power awakening within him.
A system notification followed immediately after:
[Task Completed: First Legacy Trial of the Dragon Monarch]
+6 Levels Gained
Current Level: 7
+20 Free Attribute Points Earned
He could hardly believe it. Six levels in a single moment—something that would take other Players weeks of grinding, blood, and danger—he had achieved in one hidden trial.
But more importantly…
He was truly on the path now.
Lee Hwan opened his Status Window again, his eyes sharp.
[Player Status – Lee Hwan]
Level: 7
Title: Vessel of the Dragon Monarch
Class: Unknown Monarch (Sealed)
Attributes:
Strength: 23 Agility: 18 Intelligence: 21 Vitality: 26 Mana: 1000+
Free Attribute Points: 20
Skills:
Eye of the Dragon (Active) Dragon Summon (Locked) Dragon Aura (Passive/Active) Flame Breath (Sealed)
He stared at the Free Attribute Points section for a moment.
"I need to be smart about this."
The old Lee Hwan would have poured all the points into strength or agility, trying to hit harder or move faster. But this Lee Hwan—the Vessel of the Dragon Monarch—knew better.
He considered his options.
Strength would help with physical combat.
Agility was important for speed and dodging.
Intelligence might unlock more of his sealed abilities, and control mana better.
Vitality would help him survive dangerous encounters.
And then there was Mana—his most abnormal stat. It already sat at 1000+. Most Players his level didn't even have 100.
"I already have a massive mana pool. I should focus on balance and survivability."
His fingers hovered above the screen.
After a moment's thought, he made his decision.
[Attribute Allocation: 20 Points]
+5 to Strength +5 to Agility +5 to Intelligence +5 to Vitality
[New Stats – Updated]
Strength: 28 Agility: 23 Intelligence: 26 Vitality: 31 Mana: 1000+
As soon as he confirmed the allocation, a warm rush filled his body.
His muscles grew tighter, more responsive. His movements became sharper. He could feel his mind process faster, as if every thought had more clarity. And his body—his core—felt solid as steel.
For the first time, Lee Hwan truly felt like a Player.
No… more than that.
Like something above a Player.
The hidden dungeon began to rumble behind him. The trial chamber was collapsing. It seemed that once the Dragon Monarch's legacy was claimed, this secret space no longer needed to exist.
Lee Hwan turned and calmly walked back the way he came. Using Eye of the Dragon, he easily navigated past collapsing paths, spotted unstable rocks, and avoided danger with precise footwork.
When he finally exited the cave and emerged onto the first floor of the Tower once more, the air felt clearer.
Brighter.
He looked up at the endless stone ceiling of Floor One.
Hundreds of people were somewhere in this massive layer—fighting, training, competing for loot.
But none of them knew.
None of them had any idea that something ancient and powerful had awakened beneath their feet.
And none of them would expect him to be the one who would soon rise above them all.
Lee Hwan smirked, walking toward the nearest player checkpoint to register his clearance.
The era of obscurity was over.
The climb had finally begun.
