Chapter 2 - Reincarnation

The Immortal soul floated through the shimmering portal, its trail a faint echo of the power it once wielded. The portal itself, forged by a deity whose strength rivaled the heavens, twisted through the endless void beyond the universe, tossing the soul gently yet without mercy into the vast, chaotic expanse known as the Ocean of Multiverses.

The soul had no form now—no flesh, no weight, no ties—but it still radiated fragments of its former Cosmic Divinity. That light, dimming slowly like a dying star, flickered as the laws of the multiverse began to gnaw at its essence. But even in its weakened state, the soul resisted total annihilation. It searched... longed... for something. A world. A vessel. A chance.

And then it felt it—a pulse. A ripple of familiarity, a spark of potential unlike any other. The soul surged toward it, breaking through the unseen boundaries of a different universe. A life-form awaited—a small body, fragile yet full of untapped depth. The soul descended, merging with the unborn form of a baby. In that instant, his memories stretched like chains and snapped. His Godhood, his Cosmic Divinity, his centuries of knowledge—buried deep under the crushing weight of this world's laws.

All was lost... for now.

But even as the divine light within faded, a whisper echoed in the silence of the soul. On a fateful day... all shall awaken again.

Ten Years Later.

Far from the Immortal World, away from floating cities and divine towers, there existed a small, peaceful village nestled within nature's arms—Naira. Soft green fields surrounded it, painted with thousands of vibrant flowers that danced with the breeze. The air carried the hum of bees, the song of birds, and the golden glow of sunlight that draped the rooftops in warmth.

In this quiet world, inside a modest house built from polished stone and sturdy wood, a hurried voice broke the morning calm.

"Ron! Let's go—we'll be late for school!" The voice belonged to a man with a strong build and warm eyes. His shirt hung half-buttoned as he tied his shoes in haste, his hands fumbling with nervous energy.

Soft footsteps padded toward him, and a small boy appeared at the doorway. His silver hair shimmered in the light, and his bright sky-blue eyes sparkled with innocence and joy. He was beaming.

"Dad, I'm ready. Let's go!" Ron's voice was full of youthful excitement, and his cheeks were faintly flushed with anticipation.

The man paused, looking at his son. A gentle smile softened his face, and he stood tall. "Alright, let's go. Today's your Awakening Day—we have to be there early." He reached out, grasping Ron's tiny hand in his own, and they walked together toward the door.

Suddenly, a soft rustle of skirts and quick footsteps approached them. A woman, beautiful with kind eyes and graceful features, hurried over. She bent down, kissing Ron gently on the forehead. Her hands brushed through his silver hair as she whispered, "Ron, awaken something strong... a powerful Halo attribute. Become a Halo Warrior—just like your dad."

Ron nodded, his face brightening even more. "Okay, mom. I'll try my best!"

She smiled, though a flicker of concern crossed her eyes. Her gaze turned to her husband. "Arun, come back safely."

"I will," Arun replied softly, his hand tightening around Ron's. They stepped into the sunlit path, walking toward the village school.

---

The path was filled with other parents and children, some chatting with nervous laughter, others walking silently. The air felt different today—tense, electric. It was the day of Awakening.

Arun turned to a familiar man walking beside him. "Hey, didn't you awaken a Water attribute back then? Think your boy will do the same?"

The man chuckled, shrugging. "Maybe. But his mom's got Earth. Could go either way. Who knows—maybe he'll get both and make me proud. Hahaha."

They continued talking about their childhood as awakeners, smiling at old memories. But behind every laugh was a subtle tension. As they reached the school gate, a weight settled over their hearts.

Parents took a deep breath, leaving their children behind as they formed a neat line before the Awakening platform. The field buzzed with murmurs and the cries of encouragement from family.

Then, a hush swept across the crowd.

A man stepped onto the podium—tall, composed, and radiating authority. A red Halo pulsed above his head, glowing with energy. Parents whispered in awe.

"Look! His Halo's purple... isn't that a level 40 potential?"

"He must be from the capital—maybe from one of the top academies."

"If my child gets chosen… we'll be set for life."

The man in the suit walked to the edge of the podium. He rested his hands on it, speaking in a calm, practiced tone. "Greetings. I am a representative from Halos Technology. I've worked on anti-gravity platforms and vehicles powered by attribute energy. Today, I'm here for one thing—to oversee your children's Awakening."

He spoke for nearly an hour, explaining attributes, levels, and halos. Parents grew restless, some children fidgeted. Then finally—

"Let us begin. I will call your names one by one. Come forward, take the seed, and awaken your Halo Attribute and first Star."

The crowd leaned forward as children were called up, one after another. Most awakened simple attributes—Water, Earth, Fire, Air. Some rare ones like Wood, Iron Body, and Beast Transformation excited the crowd.

Then—

"Ron."

Ron stepped forward, his heart racing. He looked at his father, who gave him a nod and a tight smile. With trembling hands, he climbed onto the stage.

The man in the suit watched him. "Take this seed. Swallow it, and open yourself to the energy within."

Ron took the seed, swallowing it with a gulp. He closed his eyes.

Silence.

Then—a pulse.

The energy exploded within him, racing through his veins, entering his bones. His body trembled. Light burst from within, and his bones glowed as they began reshaping—stronger, denser.

The crowd gasped.

"He's… he's awakening a Bone attribute?"

"Poor boy. That's one of the lowest—barely reaches level 20."

But on the stage, Ron's face had changed.

Inside his mind, the seal of mortality was cracking. Memories—thousands of years of sword cultivation, wars, deaths, divine battles—rushed through his mind.

The boy's eyes opened slowly.

"Interesting... Interesting..." His lips curved into a smirk. The way he moved, the way he stood—no longer that of a child.

He turned, walking back toward the students with calm, sharp eyes that reflected something ancient. Something deadly.

Arun's friend nudged him, chuckling nervously. "Hey… I think your kid just lost a nut in his head."

Arun's face froze. He forced a smile, but his eyes were clouded with guilt. "Don't worry… nothing will happen to him." His voice dropped to a whisper. "I… I shouldn't have pushed him so hard."

As Ron stood among the others, the sun shone down on him like a spotlight.

A forgotten god, reborn.

And the world would soon remember his name.
