Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Playing around

Tsunade's voice dripped with anger as she defended Jiraiya.

"He is not a nobody,"

She declared, her eyes flashing.

"And who are you to judge my friend?"

Kengo's dismissive attitude towards Jiraiya had ignited a fire within Tsunade.

The urge to physically retaliate against Kengo's arrogance surged through her, but she knew better than to act rashly.

Kengo's strength was undeniable; he had been personally trained in the art of taijutsu by the legendary Uchiha Madara, a shinobi whose power rivaled that of her own grandfather.

Jiraiya, the unwitting catalyst of this confrontation, observed the escalating tension.

He had to do something to dissolve it and it was quite easy to be honest.

He could manipulate them using his experience.

He reached out his right hand where his storage seal tattoo was, his own ingenuity, developed during his time studying Fuinjutsu under the tutelage of his great-great-grandfather.

Retrieving a small snack, he munched on it with an air of amusement.

The sudden action of his interrupting them was so unexpected that both Tsunade and Kengo found themselves completely diverted from their heated exchange.

Their gazes snapped towards Jiraiya, who, with an air of nonchalance that bordered on the infuriating, was casually munching on a snack seemingly pulled from thin air.

Tsunade's brows furrowed, curiosity and disbelief etched on her face.

"What in the world? How did you do that? I know you use a storage seal, but where's the scroll?"

Despite her young age, Tsunade had always shown a keen interest in the art of Fuinjutsu.

Kengo, on the other hand, remained silent, his expression unreadable.

While Fuinjutsu wasn't in his interest, he knew that it was hard to master.

The fact that Jiraiya, a mere nobody, could seemingly wield such advanced techniques was both baffling and disconcerting.

Was it truly a storage seal? If so, where was the scroll that typically served as the medium for such a technique?

Jiraiya, with a sly grin playing on his lips, deftly defused the escalating tension.

His eyes sparkled with mischief as he seized Tsunade's hands. He had an idea to mess with Kengo.

"Run!"

He could easily overpower Kengo, but where was the fun in that? Tormenting the pompous fool was far more entertaining.

Kengo's face contorted with rage as he witnessed Jiraiya's bold move. How could he dare grab Tsunade's hand like that!

"After them!"

With a burst of speed, Kengo charged after the retreating figures, his lackeys struggling to keep up with his furious pace.

Jiraiya's laughter echoed through the air as he pulled a bewildered Tsunade along.

She stumbled slightly, her mind racing to comprehend the situation.

'He's so strong,'

Tsunade thought her initial impression of Jiraiya as a weakling shattered.

The ease with which he dragged her along, despite her own considerable strength, was proof to his hidden power.

Their hurried escape led them through a maze of narrow alleyways, Jiraiya's agility and knowledge of the terrain guiding their path was stunning.

How could he know every nook and corner.

Tsunade's heart pounded in her chest, adrenaline and confusion.

"Where are we going?"

She finally managed to ask, her voice breathless.

Jiraiya glanced back at her, his grin widening.

"Somewhere he won't find us,"

He replied, his voice filled with amusement.

As they continued their dash, Tsunade couldn't help but feel a strange sense of excitement.

The unexpected turn of events, the thrill of the chase, and the enigmatic Jiraiya by her side – it was all so exhilarating.

Unbeknownst to her, this was just the beginning of their wild adventure, one that would change her life forever.

Jiraiya and Tsunade, their youthful energy spent after a day of play, decided it was time to head home.

Their stomachs rumbled in unison, a clear sign that they were famished and eager to replenish their energy.

"I'll have someone bring us food,"

Tsunade declared, her voice carrying the authority of her lineage.

She told Jiraiya to wait for her in the dining room.

The Senju clan, renowned for their wealth and influence, had the means to indulge in the finest cuisine.

Their meals often featured beast food from the Akamichi Clan, a culinary tradition that contributed to their physical prowess.

The rich, nutrient-dense meals provided the sustenance needed to fuel their rigorous training and maintain their status as one of the strongest clans.

This dietary advantage, combined with their disciplined training, was a well-kept secret that explained their superior strength and endurance compared to other clans.

Jiraiya didn't have to wait long as a feast materialized on the table before him, a colorful array of dishes that promised to satiate even the heartiest of appetites.

"The meal is on me! Eat to your heart's content!"

"Wow… are you for real? I can eat all of this?"

"Yes!"

Tsunade declared with a flourish, her voice brimming with an almost regal generosity.

Her words held an air of ownership, as if she'd personally funded the lavish spread, oblivious to the reality of the situation.

Mito and Sayoh, silent observers to this unfolding scene, exchanged knowing glances, their expressions reflecting a shared warmth at the sight of Tsunade and Jiraiya's friendship.

The easy banter, the shared laughter.

Mito, in particular, felt relief. She had always been concerned that Tsunade's occasional bouts of melancholy stemmed from a lack of genuine friends.

But witnessing her now, so at ease and animated in Jiraiya's company, Mito's worries dissipated.

It was as if a missing piece had slotted into place, bringing with it a sense of completeness that had been absent.

The sight of Tsunade's genuine happiness warmed Mito's heart, and she couldn't help but feel gratitude towards Jiraiya for bringing this joy into her life.
