After my sister's soon to be fiancé went back after deciding that he would marry her, I went to her and talked about all this. My sister, Aditi, was usually an Independent Woman, she did all things according to her rules, never asked people for help but when it came to dating, she was colour blind. All she chose were red flags to date, once she was dating a guy who almost hit her, if I hadn't intervened she would've been hit.
Since then, she hasn't been allowed to date anyone if I don't approve, now you might think of me as someone controlling of their younger sibling, no girl, I'm the younger one...ha ha yeah, she lacks common sense. Moving on, I asked her if she's actually sure about this, she said yes but I plan on testing that guy.
All this meeting and stuff happened so suddenly while I was in college, that I didn't have a say in this. I asked her to message him and ask him out for a date, and I told her to surprise him by not telling him that I'll be coming with them. At the café, the guy, my sister's so called soon to be fiancé came in and sat with us, with a confused look on his face, he looked at me then Aditi and asked her.
Akhil: umm..who is she?
My sister (smiles)
Aditi: she's my sister, since she was in college when the marriage was decided, she wanted to meet you!
He nodded and made an 'oh' face.
Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Akhil (He said with a smile and offered me a handshake)
Aarushi: I'm Aarushi, and I don't know yet if it's nice to meet you. (I smiled back and shook hands with him.)
Aditi: She's just kind of overprotective ha-ha.
He got awkward, I changed the topic
Aarushi: Let's order something first, then we can talk.
Akhil: Sure, I'll call the waiter
He turned around to look for the waiter and upon seeing that the waiter was on the other side of the café he raised his hand and said, "excuse me?" Okay, he's 20% approved already since he was respectful about calling the waiter, let's see how he talks to the waiter now, then he'll be 20% more approved.
For all of you single people, when you want to check whether someone is a good person, you should see them talk to people who provide you services like a waiter, a shopkeeper or a maid. You'll find out if the person is humble and if you should stay with them
Waiter: what would you like to order, sir?
After we tell our order, which is 2 black coffees and one Oreo shake for me, the waiter nods then confirms it and walks away.
So, what field are you in?
Aarushi: I'm in Arts, plan on studying law. You? (he nods)
Akhil: I'm a Professor at SWS College. (I'm Shocked)
Aarushi: How come I never saw you there? I study there (He's shocked)
Akhil: Oh really?? I work in the biology department so explains, who's your class teacher?
Aarushi: It's Aisha ma'am, she's from Political Science.
Akhil: Oh, she's a good friend of mine.
Aarushi: so what class do you teach?
Akhil: Class 13 A (I Nod)
Akhil: My younger brother also studies at that college, in fact, I'm his professor too.
Aditi: Oh wow, must be nice to bully your younger sibling (laughs)
Akhil: (laughs too) yes, he always does his assignments late and then I snitch to my mom! (He claps his hands while laughing)
After all the chat with him I think I approve of this guy, he can 100% date my sister, marry her, impregnate her and make me an Aunt. I listen to him and Aditi talking and see that this time she has really found a good guy, good for her for finally realizing her self-worth and choosing a good one. Wonder if I will ever find someone like her, but this isn't about me so I'll just leave my topic out of this. I leave from there after telling them to enjoy their time.
While I was waiting for my Uber I saw a guy, he was wearing a Black Button up Shirt, a silver traditional watch and Black Pants. He was wearing glasses over his head and then he turned to his friend while talking about something then turned back and dropped his glasses to his eyes, that was damn smooth. I swear, people who wear Black shirts are just hot af, like on my knees for them, I giggle internally at the thought of being on my knees for him.
He rolled up his sleeve while talking to his friend then he laughed about something, his laugh is contagious and cute, I smiled while thinking this. Then suddenly I realized I was staring at him so I looked away, then I looked at the time on my watch and waited for my Uber as it was about to arrive soon, I heard someone's footsteps approaching me. Someone called out to me, saying 'excuse me', I turned around.
Aarushi: Yes?
??: What's the time?
My eyes instantly fell to his hand where he had been wearing that silver watch, it was missing now. Nonetheless, I looked at my watch, and replied.
Aarushi: It's 03:14.
??: Thanks. *smiles*
Aarushi: Welcome. *smiles back*
He then turns away and walks back to his friend, my Uber then arrives and I get into it. That was strange, he clearly had a watch on his wrist when I was staring at him but now suddenly he didn't have a watch? Maybe he wanted to talk to me? Nah, don't be delusional bro, nothing like that must've happened, maybe his watch just suddenly stopped working, but what about his phone?? He clearly had it in his pocket? So maybe he actually wanted to talk to me? okay, let's leave this topic.
After sometime I reached my college and went straight to class as I was running late, I had already bunked 3 lectures, I went in my class room and sat beside one of my best friends, Arya. I turn to her all excited to tell about the guy I just encountered. But then suddenly the teacher entered. Everybody just stopped talking and fell silent, the Entire College's strictest teacher just somehow HAD to be our English Teacher, the way I hate her for making me hate my favourite subject is unexplainable.
She started the class and then said that the next two lectures would be free, man I wasted my time coming here then. just for one lecture I hurried back and this is what I hear. we both went out of the class and to the canteen where we saw the others already there. As we sat there, my friend, Kiara said that she had to give her sister the keys to their house as she will be going out with her school friends. The thing about us is that, no matter how small of a task we have to do, we always do it together, (don't have dirty thoughts) so we all accompany her to her sister's department.
Which is Biology department, we searched for her classroom and found it then gave her the keys and while returning back as always we were goofing around and laughing like we were about to die, I was saying something while trying to control my laugh when suddenly I felt like I was about to crash into someone but that person held onto my shoulder, preventing me from crashing into them, I quickly turned around to apologize but was shocked to see the same guy who asked me for time earlier.
Aarushi: I'm so sorry- (I said with a panicked face)
??: It's okay! I'm fine.
Then his friend dragged him and he was out of my sight, I stood there frozen.
Aarushi: GUYS YOU WON"T BELIEVE THIS-
Arya: Calm down gurlll-
Aarushi: Yeah sorry, but you know what, I went to meet my sister's fiancé okay, and while leaving for college, I was waiting for my Uber and then I saw this guy, he was talking to his friend I guess and he did such a smooth thing you know.
His glasses were on his head and he dropped them down to his eyes, he rolled up his sleeves while laughing at something his friend said, to tell you I was mesmerized would be a lie.
I was stunned, flabbergasted, in awe, captivated, enchanted, entranced, fascinated, hooked, possessed, under a spell- It's like, cupid hit me-
Sara: girl. You're mesmerized like that almost every day over a guy. He's just a 5-minute crush, it'll pass.
Aarushi: it might, but hear me out. This guy, he asked me for time even though I clearly saw that he had a watch on his wrist, like was he trying to talk to me or what?? (I then told them the whole thing)
Sara: girl, no way he did that!! (She squeals)
Arya: okay, guys this proves that Aarushi can pull yeahhh!!
I flip my hair, acting all sassy.
Kiara: okay, guys, I'm hungry let's go!
The day continues like this, lemme tell you something, I drank 3 cups of Oreo shake in a single day today, very less than my usual but yeah.
