Life in the military base
"Tsunade sama, I will be deploying multiple barriers around this base before taking a rest." Usagi approached Tsunade and informed her.
The rear logistic base was different from what Usagi had thought. It was not just a collection of lots of tents. It was a proper military base with its own huge fence and wooden buildings. There were a lot of tents inside the base for regular shinobi but as the commander and deputy commander, Tsunade and Usagi were provided with proper houses to stay.
And Usagi was secretly very happy about it. Her quarter was nothing like what she had in the hidden leaf. It was just a small living room with a personal toilet. But getting this in the frontline can be considered as a luxury. After placing her things in her quarters and protecting it with a separate barrier, Usagi had come straight to Tsunade to get permission from her to deploy barriers around the logistic base. It was not that she was worried about the safety of the base. The safety of the base was only her side goal. Her main goal was to scout the surrounding area and find anything useful.
"What kind of barrier do you want to deploy here ?" Tsunade asked Usagi, after hearing her request.
"Two sensory barriers and one defensive barrier. The sensory barriers will be around 1 mile and 3 miles away from this base. It will alert us about any incoming forces. And the defensive barrier will be around this base only." Usagi answered the question.
"Fine, do as you please. But we will hold a meeting tomorrow morning. Be on time." Tsunade dismissed Usagi.
Usagi didn't miss this chance and immediately got to her work. The sun was about to set. So using mangekyou sharingan wouldn't be a problem for her. Before going for the sensory seals, Usagi deployed the barrier seal around the base first.
That night, Usagi had a very nice meal. A rare extremely poisonous frog, a river electric eel, a big praying mantis, a fruit eating bat, a jaguar, a black panther and a lost pet labrador became her food. But that was not all, apart from these regular animals, she also got her hands on a rare summoning beast. A massive honey badger. She had never thought that she would get to see such an animal in a country like land of Fire. But since she got her hands on it, she ate it. The honey badger was too wild to control in normal methods. Of course she didn't absorb it like other normal animals. She used Great Sage to tame it completely inside her stomach before letting it out. A small honey badger could go toe to toe with a grown lion. So she was not going to just absorb an adult human sized honey badger. Especially when great Sage informed her that the animal she found was still young and will grow even more in the future. She had used this chance to enhance her little pet with the help of great Sage. Apart from pure white fur to make the big animal look cute, she had also given her pet the highest order of poison resistance, and wind nature Chakra transformation along with the ability to instinctively use wind nature Chakra in his claws while attacking its enemies. Of course a big Chakra reserve was a must give thing. Due to have simple it was to restructure the bodies of the living beings of the Naruto world, great sage was able to do it in just a few minutes.
After a productive haul around the logistic base, Usagi returned to the camp with her new pet that night.

"You called for me, Tsunade sama ?" I asked the older woman, who was going through some files. It has been 2 days since we arrived at the logistic camp. But many things have happened in just these last 2 days. First of all, thanks to my barriers, six spies from the hidden stone were caught while snooping around. Two of them even got caught by Shiro, my pet honey badger.
"Oh, yes. I just got a message from the old man. The hokage will be sending one Yamanaka Jounin to figure out the motives of these spys. Usually finding this number of spies snooping around the logistic base is rare. So he had ordered us to remain on high alert." Tsunade finally paused her work and looked at me.
"A lot of genins and half of the Chunins have already left for the frontline, carrying supplies. I just wanted to remind you to stay on alert. That's all.
And one more thing, I will be going to the river to take a bath. If you want you can come with me. That pet of yours will be useful to keep an eye on stray perverts." Hearing Tsunade, I understood that she just wanted Shiro to be her personal guard. The big honey badger was fiercely protective of me. But I didn't decline. While there is no problem in going to the toilet, I haven't taken a proper bath ever since we left the village. If not for my dirt and sweat removing seal, I would have been stinking right now. So I immediately agreed.
"Of course, Tsunade sama. I would love to."
(AN: Usagi would need to absorb Tsunade's Chakra or tissues for the great sage to analyse it and confirm to her that she is Tsunade's biological child. So for the time being, Usagi will remain unaware of her parentage)
After Tsunade finished her paperworks, we left the camp and headed towards the nearby river along with Shiro. I didn't bother to cast any barrier as both of us started taking off our clothes. I was wearing a one piece white Yukata, with a blue border that ended just below my ass. And a fishnet mesh underneath for extra unneeded protection.
"You don't wear a bra ?" The sudden question came from Tsunade, once I took off my Yukata.
"I like them to be free. And it is more comfortable this way." I shrugged and continued to take off my fishnet mesh.
Looking at Tsunade, I realised the power of the legendary 106. They may not just be massive, but also gravity defying and full. But that was not all. Her hips were equally wide as her chest. It was because of your choice of clothes that they were not that prominent. With the blonde public hair, and massive ass, she can easily pass as one of those neglected milfs of the NTR genre.
"What are you staring at, brat ?"
"Ummm nothing…." I didn't want to be on the receiving end of Tsunade's punches, so I quickly averted my eyes from the massive milk makers. I was straight, but Tsunade's twin mountains are simply a work of art.
"Don't worry brat, the way you are growing, you might even surpass me in size by the time you reach my age." Tsunade suddenly said out of nowhere.
Even though it was not a hotspring, after taking a bath, we remained in the water for an hour. I never thought I would get to have such a relaxing and laid back experience in the military base. If this is the life of the rear then I didn't want to go to the frontline ever. I knew that, my wish was almost impossible. So enjoying life while I can was the best thing to do.
After swimming in the river and playing in the water with Shiro for around an hour, Tsunade finally called me back. It was a very relaxing experience.
For the next 2 days, our work continued as usual. Tsunade had taken her time to teach me how to command and organise people. How to distribute supplies and some other important things about rear jobs. She even invited me to train in medical ninjutsu under her. I didn't need to learn medical ninjutsu while I have 'Great Sage' by my side. But I didn't want to outright decline her considering she was going to be the fifth hokage in the future. So I also trained under her in her free time. Thanks to the great Sage, I had mastered the mystic palm jutsu perfectly. And she was really impressed with it. It was probably the main reason why she invited me to train under her. While we didn't have anything to operate on, she taught me some important basics and chakra scalpel technique. With my level of Chakra control even without the help of great sage I learnt these techniques in just a single day.
Everything was going fine when on the 5th day after we arrived in the logistic base, and unexpected attack happened on us.
