Episode 7: Echoes of the Pact — Ren vs Ashren: Round Two!
[Page 1] – Splash Page
Scene: The Blood Archive Temple shakes as Ren stands before Ashren, crimson aura swirling like a vortex, silver lightning sparking at his fingertips. Lira, wounded but standing, readies her blade.
Narration Box:
"Blood awakens. Shadows descend. The storm begins."
[Page 2] – Scene: Temple Interior
Ashren (coldly):
"You were warned. You ignored it."
He draws both void daggers. The cloaked demons vanish into the shadows — surrounding Ren and Lira.
Lira:
"They're using Veil Step... damn it. Ren, don't blink!"
[Page 3] – Action Panel
Ashren moves like a blur, going straight for Ren. Ren blocks with a forearm, sparks flying. The shockwave cracks the stone floor. Lira parries a demon's strike behind him.
Ren (growling):
"Last time, you surprised me... not this time!"
[Page 4] – Ren Awakens Further
Scene: Ren's body glows. Crimson veins pulse across his skin. His right hand transforms — a clawed form etched with demonic runes.
Lira (shocked):
"His demon arm... it's evolving."
Ashren (gritting teeth):
"So... the Pact blood reacts to battle. Impressive."
[Page 5] – Counterattack!
Ren rushes forward, weaving between Ashren's blades, then lands a clean hit, launching Ashren through a pillar. The shadow assassins leap toward Ren, but Lira cuts two down mid-air.
Lira (yelling):
"We have to end this before the Temple collapses!"
[Page 6] – Ashren's Trump Card
Ashren stands, blood on his lip. He reaches into his chest and pulls out a glowing core — the Veil Heart.
Ashren (darkly):
"Forgive me, my King... but I'll use forbidden strength to finish this."
The core fuses with his body. Dark wings expand, now wrapped in chains. His aura becomes monstrous.
[Page 7] – Scene: Flash Vision
Ren sees flickers of the future again — the Sealed Tyrant walking through fire, cities burning. The vision ends as Ashren's blade nearly grazes his eye.
Ren (thinking):
"If I fall here... that future becomes real."
[Page 8] – Last Clash Begins
Ren summons a massive crimson spear from his aura — a weapon of his ancestors. Lira's aura flares violet beside him.
Ren (to Lira):
"Together?"
Lira (grinning):
"Always."
They rush forward, blades and spear flashing — the entire temple igniting in crimson and violet light.
[Page 9] – Final Panel
Scene: Silence. Smoke. A shattered temple floor. Ashren lies defeated, his wings broken. He looks up at Ren, confused.
Ashren (softly):
"You... you're not just a Lord... You're something else."
Ren (panting):
"I'm whatever it takes to stop what's coming."
