Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Spiritual Pressure That Shook the Entire Seireitei

"Yumichika, it's normal for our captain to have such intense spiritual pressure. After all, he leads a combat division. But isn't the 4th Division a medical unit? Why does Captain Unohana also have such immense spiritual pressure?!"

At this moment, Zaraki Kenpachi was clearly thrilled. Originally, he just came here looking for someone worthy of cutting down—but to his surprise, he now had the chance to fight the opponent he had long dreamed of facing.

"Ding——————!"

The spiritual pressure had already been released, the aura fully unleashed. Zaraki didn't bother with more words. His sandals stomped hard against the ground, blasting out a massive crater from the force, and his body shot forward like a bolt of lightning.

Gripped tightly in his hand was his jagged, nicked zanpakutō, worn and battered from countless battles. With all his might, he brought it down in a powerful overhead slash aimed directly at Unohana.

In the same instant, Unohana drew her zanpakutō from her waist and raised it horizontally to block.

Despite being a simple clash between two blades, the resulting shockwave was devastating. A violent gust exploded from the impact, instantly leveling the 4th Division's recruitment tent. The sheer force shattered the ground beneath them, sending cracks rapidly spreading outward.

Since they were fighting in the main arena of the Shin'ō Spiritual Arts Academy, the disturbance naturally attracted a crowd of curious onlookers.

A clash between two captains wasn't something one got to witness every day.

Watching from the sidelines, Yecheng was in awe of the two "Kenpachis" going at it. While admiring their power, he couldn't help but imagine himself in their place, mentally simulating how he might handle such a battle.

However, this "Kenpachi vs. Kenpachi" showdown couldn't last long—not only because it was taking place at the academy, but also because neither Zaraki nor Unohana had made any effort to suppress their spiritual pressure. As expected, the 2nd Division quickly responded to the scene.

The current captain of the 2nd Division wasn't Soi Fon yet—but the dark-skinned, cool-headed lady Yoruichi Shihōin.

When Unohana and Zaraki's spiritual pressures erupted within Seireitei, Yoruichi initially assumed there was an enemy invasion. She didn't expect to find two captains from the Gotei 13 going at each other.

"Lady Yoruichi, the 11th Division's Captain Zaraki and the 4th Division's Captain Unohana are violating Seireitei regulations. Shouldn't we intervene?"

At that moment, young Soi Fon was already a member of the 2nd Division. As a loyal retainer of the Shihōin clan, she admired Yoruichi deeply—perhaps to a borderline obsessive degree.

"Intervene? When it's something this entertaining...?Ahem—I mean, Captain Zaraki and Captain Unohana are among the strongest of all the captains. Even if I tried, I doubt I could stop them alone."

Despite being a noble lady of the prestigious Shihōin family, Yoruichi had always been carefree, informal, and fond of pranks and watching chaos unfold.

Once she confirmed it wasn't an outside threat, she was all too happy to enjoy the fight between two battle maniacs. Unfortunately, before arriving, she had already reported the incident to the Head Captain.

The simultaneous eruption of two captain-class spiritual pressures had drawn plenty of attention, so not long after Yoruichi arrived, the Head Captain—Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto—arrived with several other captains in tow.

"Enough! You are captains of the Gotei 13—and this is the Shin'ō Academy, where we train Shinigami. What kind of example are you setting?!"

Though the Head Captain was old, his presence was as commanding as ever. With a single strike of his cane, a powerful spiritual pressure swept across the area, forcibly halting the clash between Zaraki and Unohana.

As the other captains gathered, Unohana calmly sheathed her blade and stood gracefully, hands folded in front of her. Her gentle demeanor returned, as if the rampaging warrior from moments ago had never existed.

On Zaraki's side, after glancing at the Head Captain and the others, he scowled in frustration."Damn, the party crashers got here fast. I didn't even get to enjoy myself yet."

The cause of the fight wasn't particularly complicated. Upon learning that the fight between Zaraki and Unohana had been triggered by a single freshly graduated rookie from the academy, the Head Captain and the other captains couldn't help but cast curious glances at Yecheng.

Of course, it was just a glance.

To them, Yecheng was a mere fledgling. With thousands of Shinigami in Seireitei, they wouldn't have remembered his name if it weren't for this incident.

"Captain Zaraki of the 11th Division—you trespassed at the 4th Division's recruitment site and initiated provocation. For disrupting order in Seireitei, you are to be detained for three months.Captain Unohana of the 4th Division—though you were provoked, your handling of the matter was inappropriate. You are to return to your barracks and reflect for three days."

After issuing punishments to the two captains, the Head Captain turned his gaze to the innocent bystander caught in the crossfire—Yecheng.

Ever since discovering he had crossed into the world of Bleach, Yecheng's personal motto had been to keep a low profile and avoid attention until he had the power to protect himself.

And yet, despite his best efforts, he found himself becoming the center of attention.

Two captains had literally fought over recruiting him, disregarding all of Seireitei's rules in the process?!

Those who knew Zaraki and Unohana well understood that the fight had very little to do with Yecheng himself. The real reason was that both of them were battle-crazed maniacs—and when two such people crossed paths, they didn't need much of an excuse to throw down.

If one of them had been replaced with a different captain, the battle probably wouldn't have even started.

"As for you… Kyoraku, I'll leave him to your 8th Division."

The Head Captain's narrowed eyes briefly studied Yecheng before making his decision.

And just like that, Kyōraku Shunsui—who had been smiling the most moments earlier—suddenly froze in place.

Anyone who could rise to the level of a captain was no fool. Every one of them knew: this kid named Nan Yecheng was now a hot potato.Whoever got stuck with him was bound to get caught in the crossfire between two dangerous captains.

Not because Yecheng had done anything wrong, but because both Unohana and Zaraki had fought over him.Now that he was being sent to another division… whoever took him in would risk offending both of them.
