"Good call, Johan…" Radhaan spoke, half surprised, half dazed.

So he has a hidden card like this? Even I will have trouble dealing with someone like Sebastian, Radhaan sighed, caught a bit off guard by Johan's sudden help.

Everyone on the seven chairs stared at Johan and Sebastian with pure shock. Victor's gaze turned half confused, half grateful.

Sebastian retreated to beside Johan, his expression calm as if he had just gone for a walk.

But on the inside, he was quite surprised.

How bold? As expected of Master!! His dry lips curled up in a prideful smile.

"It's nothing. No matter how much I hate the kid, I can't let him die like this…" Johan spoke, his expression distant, still focused on the blue screen.

Selene stared at Johan, her eyes filled with shock and warmth. He saved him because of me?

Leonard first looked surprised, but then, schooling his expression, smiled approvingly toward Johan.

You're as useful as you were in the past, but sorry old friend, you're not needed anymore…

His eyes became cold again, his expression a bit bitter. 'If there was an option, I would've definitely saved you… Alas, pity,' he sighed to himself.

'Manipulating him clearly is the best option. Killing him was possible, but it would be hard to survive afterwards… I would probably have to abandon everything and run away. Not worth it…' Johan thought, analyzing the other choices.

It's the safest, and the one with the most rewards. There is no time limit either.

The difference is like rob a bank, deal with the consequences, or invest your inheritance in a good SOP, wait for monthly returns. Johan bit his lip. Indeed, it was the safest, but I need the robbery money now.

System, I want to tell you something… Johan suddenly spoke in his mind.

[Yes, Host?]

FUCK YOU!! Johan yelled in his mind, clearly annoyed. The system window instantly disappeared.

Then his gaze turned upward, sensing movement—

"Leor! Are you okay?" The black-haired scholar moved from the seven chairs, his expression filled with worry.

Dr. Victor fanatically touched Leor's warm cheek, then rubbed his neck, then chest as if checking for harm.

Leor's sharp golden eyes stared at Johan, filled with shock… yet pride?

Johan's mind was instantly filled with ringing sounds. Strength? I can also improve my already established stats like a player? Johan's eyes widened a bit, a smile of approval appearing.

But why? I didn't do much. He should've hated 'me' for killing and enslaving his village and all, right? Why is Leor liking me so much? His thoughts only raised his confusion.

"Johan!! I will kill you!" Suddenly, Erwin, who was staring dreamily at the now empty pole, yelled loudly toward Johan.

Sebastian moved, coming in front of Johan as a shield, about to apprehend Erwin again—but just as he took the first step—

Thud!

Sebastian fell face-first on the ground, tripping on the polished marble floor.

Some parliament members stared in surprise. Some felt an urge to laugh, but suppressed it, remembering how he competed against a Divine General.

Sebastian's pupils constricted with shock.

Who was he? A stage 0 master swordsman. A warrior with more than 65 years of battle experience.

Even if he was running on one leg, he was confident he wouldn't fall.

Radhaan appeared right beside Sebastian. "Are you okay?"

But just as he leaned his body to grab the old hand of Sebastian, his eyes widened to the limit—

Thud!

He also fell right beside Sebastian, his head's impact with the ground cracking half of the polished marble floor.

Johan suppressed a laugh, seeing Radhaan—one of the main villains—fall like that, but instantly caught the problem.

'Erwin Von Vasuki has the ability "God's Child."

It's not a flashy, powerful ability, but it just boosts his luck to the next level.' Then he felt a chill in his spine, remembering Erwin's threat. 'Erwin might really kill me today.'

'Just like now, he can make himself so lucky that his enemies die by themselves. It might be the most overpowered ability in that regard…'

Radhaan also had the same thought process, immediately suppressing the intent to harm Erwin.

Sebastian got up, retreating back to beside Johan, waiting for the next command, suppressing the embarrassment with a cold face.

"You will become an enemy of the Empire…" calmly reminded Radhaan, waiting cautiously for the best moment to attack.

'The ability's consumption also increases as his luck increases.

Making two Divine General-level fighters make a basic mistake must've consumed a lot.

He probably can't do it more than three or four times.'

Radhaan analyzed the data he had on Erwin, his subordinate.

"That's enough, you all!" Leonard spoke, his voice cold and loud.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

He slowly walked off the seven-step stairs, getting on the center podium, his expression calm yet firm.

All of the parliament quieted down from the higher levels. Even the people on the seven chairs—even Sebastian and Radhaan—stood quietly on the side.

"Erwin… will a deathmatch suffice your desire?" Leonard asked, his voice soft, yet exuding immense pressure, much more than that of Sebastian.

Even though Leonard wasn't using any kind of ability, and Erwin was definitely a stronger fighter than him, he still felt the pressure.

"Meaning?" Erwin asked roughly, his voice way louder than the king's, as if a bit nervous, which was rare for him.

"We all know that Leor was a victim of your son's violent bullying; he just fought back," Leonard spoke again, his voice sharper than last time.

Erwin stayed quiet, his eyes looking down, glued on the white marble.

"Don't worry, I am not blaming you.

It's no one's fault. Leor was weak, he got bullied. Leor got stronger, Osman was killed.

As a warrior, you also understand this, right?" Leonard explained calmly.

"Get to the point!!" Erwin finally spoke, shaking the pressure off with his anger, annoyed, his eyes burning with a raging fire.

"You're strong.

So your words matter. Participate in the Doomsday Trial—Leor had participated in it—and fight him to the death there.

If he kills you, he will become the Divine General, taking your position.

If you win, you get revenge.

As for Johan, he was your benefactor this time. If you'd killed Leor…" Leonard said seriously, his voice soothing, but ending it with a dangerous undertone—which Erwin instantly understood.

Erwin frowned, clearly caught off guard by the directness of the King.

'So this was the hidden ending? This was probably the fox of a King's original plan to deal with Leor… but who activated it?

The second chapter, the Doomsday Trial, will start in around a week, I believe…' thought Johan, scratching his crisp jawline, admiring the king's way with words.

"No, sending someone as weak as him to the Doomsday arc is just pointless, aren't I right, Johan?" Leor scoffed, his golden eyes turning into a sneer under his hair, as if he could stare through Johan's soul.

"How dare you call Master Johan by his name, you insect!!" The knights on the corner surrounded Leor in an instant, their expressions fierce.

Johan stayed quiet, his eyes widening to the limit. He activated it… I am not the only one who… transmigrated. He suddenly felt an existential crisis.
