Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – The Red Moon and the Missing Star

The air between Stella and Serafina felt heavy, as if time itself had frozen.

They didn't exchange a single word—just a silent, intense gaze passed between them.

Something was wrong. Something unspoken pulled at their senses.

Without alerting the teacher or their classmates, both silently slipped out of the classroom like shadows.

Stella's fingers brushed against the small silver charm around her neck—a communicator disguised as a chain. She pressed it, and a soft pulse traveled across hidden frequencies only the other Mystery Girls could sense.

A soft chime echoed in the ears of the others. A voice note followed in Stella's steady tone:

"Meet me at the hidden spot. Now."

In the third-year Computer Science class, Nyx's head lifted as she heard the alert. Sitting next to her, Zephyr's eyes narrowed.

She could feel something strange in the wind—an unsettling disturbance. Both quickly excused themselves, vanishing from the lecture hall unnoticed.

One by one, the girls gathered at their secret meeting point: a secluded, ivy-covered corner behind the old library where no one dared to go. As they assembled, their faces were solemn, alert.

Serafina was the first to speak, her voice low and urgent. "Something's wrong. A red moon appeared suddenly and the skies are dark.... Something is not right"

Stella crossed her arms. "We can't just sit and wait. We have to act. Now."

Zephyr nodded, her voice calm but firm. "Agreed. But let's not rush in blind. There's no movement from Demon yet. This could be a distraction."

They all looked at Aria, whose silence had been weighing heavier than words. She shrugged, her tone unreadable. "I'll go with whatever you decide."

No one argued. Deep down, they knew Aria wasn't being careless—she was protecting herself in her own way. The others could feel it... the pain, the burden. And so, they let her be.

Suddenly, Zephyr raised her head. "I can sense something. The wind is carrying a strange scent... Follow me."

They transformed in their hidden spot. Each girl's body shimmered and glowed, their regular clothes replaced by their combat forms:

Luna(Stella) – Her aura rippled with invisible force, bending gravity around her.

Aqua (Serafina) – Water danced at her fingertips, swirling with growing tension.

Sophie (Zephyr) – The wind itself seemed to listen to her, sharpening her senses.

Nova (Nyx) – Her gauntlets activated, scanning the environment with holographic precision.

Blaze (Aria) – She remained still, unreadable.

They followed Zephyr's lead to the edge of the forest behind the school.

A demon stood there—tall, shadowy, with burning eyes and a sneer across his face.

Luna didn't hesitate. She raised her hand, and the demon began to float under the pull of her gravitational grip.

Aqua unleashed a wave of water at him, while Sophie summoned a slicing gust to disorient him. Nova aimed a tech pulse blast—but the demon dodged everything with uncanny speed. He didn't strike back. He didn't even look afraid.

"Why isn't he fighting?" Nova muttered.

Suddenly, Blaze stepped forward, her voice low but sharp.

"Stop. Don't attack him."

Everyone froze.

She will not speak during the battle but for the first time she spoke.

Blaze looked directly at the demon. "He's not here to fight. His intentions… they're different."

The demon chuckled, a mocking grin on his lips. "Hah. Look at you… finally someone with a brain. Powerless, but at least you're not clueless."

Her eyes didn't flinch.

The others were stunned. What did he want?

Before anyone could act, the demon threw down a black sphere that exploded into thick smoke.

Darkness swallowed the area, clouding their vision and dampening their powers.

"Everyone, stay together!" Nova called.

"I'll clear it!" Sophie shouted, releasing a powerful gust of wind to cut through the smoke.

Aqua followed with a water wave, pushing the remaining fog aside. Slowly, the view returned.

But Luna was gone.

"Stella!" Aqua screamed, her heart racing. "Where are you?!"

Silence.

Blaze's voice trembled slightly as she spoke to herself.

"As I thought… He didn't come to destroy us. He came for her. But why…?"

The girls looked at one another, their eyes wide with fear and confusion. Something far deeper was unfolding.

And Stella—was now in enemy hands.
