Pang~! pang~! pang~!
Church bells rung as the clock turns six, Cillian is back at Lennitz.
By the time they finished the ruins exploration, the sun was already setting so he decided to come back to Lennitz an stay for the night.
The next day is here and currently, Cillian is preparing to ride a horse drawn carriage to Aurich, the carriages departs every morning at eight and would arrive approximately 10 hours later, it goes vice versa for the carriages that departs from Aurich to Lennitz.
With briefcase in hand, Cillian went in and entered the carriage just in time, the coachman stopped hawking and went to seat, the stagecoach is departing.
He already bought everything he needs, the fair for the inside seat of the stagecoach is around 7z coins and to round it up into a note Cillian also bought foods and other stuff.
If he were closer to the capital he could've road on steam locomotives instead, ever since the advent of steam engine, the world started industrializing.
It started on Valeria which is arguably the most developed nation at this current era, right now, Eisenmark are not as developed as Valeria but its still faring well compared to other nations like Skandi, Novgorod and Litavya.
In any case, Cillian over was still exhausted from the ruins yesterday so he opted to just sleep on the carriage.
However just a few hours later he was shaken awake, the stage coach is currently shaking everyone awake while the shotgun messenger is standing outside on guard.
"What happened? Isnt this just a routine stop to change horses, why wake us up?"
The other passengers asked in worry. Normally stagecoaches stop at predetermined points for maintenance, meals and to change the tired horses for a new ones.
"That's the problem mister, the horses are missing. I advice everyone to be alert and do not go outside"
The mister said in solemn tone, the passenger gasps and expresses their worry upon the news.
An anomaly... kururin would've love to play detective here..
Their time together wasnt short but Cillian wasnt dense atleast he think so, he noticed how kururin gets visibly happy when he drops her some random lore.
Well enough about that, we have more pressing problems right now, hopefully they resolve it soon
The stagecoach company Cillian rode uses four horse so they usually have six horse on standby on stops, but right now there's nothing to be found.
There can be multiple reason why there's an empty stop, first of all its not likely to be stolen as from what i see, the resident of this stop is also missing..
There are even less likely factors such as the horses escaped for some reason, there's also the fact that the horses might be killed by an abomination.
Though the chance is very low as no corpse was found anywhere. It can also be just an unexplained anomaly, there are such things in this world but its not common.
Concerning... but oh well its not my problem..
Cillian looked at the other passengers, starting from his left as his right was the window. Beside him was a man in formalwear just like him, farther left beside the window was another man in formalwear.
They seem to be some sort of friends as the two have been conversing from time to time since the travel started.
On the other side however is a family of four. On the left was a man on a formal wear, on the middle was a little girl, a toddler and on the right was a lady holding a baby.
Outside is the driver and beside him was the guard was beside him.
Before long the driver went back after looking at the stable and the surrounding buildings he said,
"Coast is clear, we will rest the horses for a couple of hours before continuing, there's a new settlement nearby, we will reroute to reach it, it will be an additional stop but we have no choice, hopefully well have new horses by then."
Hearing the man, the other passengers get visibly anxious, they all seem to be at loss of what to do here.
Cillian was a little perturbed, he does not remember anything like this in his past life, even if this is indeed an event, it probably is a minor quest hence he never heard of it.
Having encountered this situation made Cillian remind himself how even though he's a regressor he's not all knowing.
Alas he really cant do anything about the situation except wait and see, however that doesn't mean he cant get prepared, with that he willed the interface to appear.

------
After using the runic magic in the ruins, Cillian has achieved the pre requisite for the Rune Mage Class, he equipped it replacing the hunter class.
He also gained the subclass archeologist and historian just like kururin, though he picked archeologist as the passive skills it gives is better.
Being able to recognize relics and artifacts is much more useful as opposed to historian's passive that gives the ability to recognize what age a certain murals relics are.
Speaking of abilities, the authority of resonance that Cillian gained is better than expected, the upon gaining an authority, a mundane person will immediately ascend to awakened, gaining three skills based on the authority one have.
And the skills that Cillian got is very nice, while its not powerful at all, it has utility that he desperately needed!
