Chapter 22: The Club's Small Goal! Do You Want to Be a Gigolo?

"In the end, I still have to pay you, my little assistant~."

Ethan Lee ran his fingers through Skye's hair, pulling her closer.

She was so near that if he didn't make a move, he wouldn't be a man.

Jessica deserved some pocket money on both ends.

"Mm~"

Skye's body tensed, but as Ethan's hands moved gently across her, she slowly relaxed.

Ethan felt a pair of legs wrap around his waist, tightening gradually.

If Jessica's legs were long and slender, then Skye's were round and well-proportioned.

During their playful exchange, Skye became more and more passionate, pressing against Ethan as if seeking more contact.

On the quiet riverside street, the two of them indulged in their moment of intimacy, the occasional call of white swans echoing over the water.

Some passersby, captivated by the sight of such an attractive couple, attempted to take sneaky photos. However, a sudden gust of wind kicked up a cloud of dust, forcing them to give up and leave.

This, of course, was Ethan's doing—using his ability to manipulate the weather. While he and Skye remained fully clothed, they had no desire to be caught on camera mid-kiss.

"Gwen, you don't know how annoying Uncle George is. He's always asking me if I've run off to become a vigilante."

Jessica sighed. "Every time I make a move now, I'm afraid he'll catch me."

Gwen chuckled. "Who ratted you out?"

Jessica rolled her eyes. "I'm just not as good at acting as you are. No wonder you didn't want to wear a cosplay costume at the party. My idol is Ghost Spider, after all."

Gwen raised her hand and shot a strand of webbing, pulling two soda cans from the table toward them. Handing one to Jessica, she said, "You're actually better than me. At least your brother understands you."

"He just doesn't bother with me."

Jessica took the soda and glanced at Gwen's wrist. "Your webbing is really cool. I've always wanted to ask—did you make it yourself?"

"Of course! My grades in school are among the best." Gwen frowned. "Still needs an upgrade, though. I always run out at the worst times."

"I've been practicing my flight abilities recently." Jessica rested her hands on her legs. "Ethan's been giving me some guidance."

"I swear, he's always quietly supporting us."

At the mention of Ethan, Gwen's face lit up with a smile. "I love him so much~."

"Hey, Gwen, I never expected Ghost Spider to be such a fangirl," Jessica teased. "If your male fans knew their goddess was obsessed with a guy, they'd be heartbroken."

"I only love Ethan, I don't care what others think~."

"Then do you plan to tell my brother about your identity?"

Gwen rubbed her forehead. "I don't think it would make much of a difference if he knew. I just haven't found the right moment yet."

In the past, she worried revealing her secret would complicate Ethan's life. But now, with Jessica's powers out in the open, one more revelation didn't seem like a big deal.

"I have an idea~," Jessica said mischievously. "Why don't you have the club invite Ghost Spider for a meeting and then, when Ethan shows up, you take off your mask and surprise him? I bet he'll be head over heels for you!"

"Why does that sound like a terrible idea…?"

"Come on, trust me!" Jessica insisted excitedly. "We don't have to hide anything anymore! And the club now has three heavy-hitters… oh, wait, four with Skye! By the time we're done, no matter what kind of super-criminal shows up, they won't stand a chance against our club!"

Gwen sighed. Wasn't this supposed to be her fan club? How did it turn into a full-fledged superhero team?

Little did they know, Jessica's small ambition that day would one day lead the Ghost Spider Club to become a powerful force—one that would make waves throughout the universe.

[Shockwave ability loaded.] [Hacking skills loaded.]

Ethan received a system reward.

Strange.

Skye hadn't awakened her powers yet—so how could he load this template?

Then why hadn't Stephen triggered anything?

And what about Dr. Banner, who had never set off a mission?

A thought dawned on him. Could it be that missions were only triggered by female heroes… and that they could all be recruited into his personal faction?

Damn. That was so depraved.

But he liked it.

"Skye, what should we do next?"

Ethan pulled her close, holding her weakly trembling form in his arms. "How about we roleplay a little? Intern assistant and teacher?"

"Teacher~," Skye whispered playfully. "Actually, my real name is Daisy Johnson."

"I'm still more used to calling you Skye."

"Then, Teacher, please do as you please~."

She wrapped her legs around Ethan's knees, leaned against him, and gazed up with a mischievous smirk. "After all, if I don't want to get expelled, I have to follow my teacher's every instruction~."

"Ahem—" Ethan cleared his throat and glanced around at the passersby, subtly reminding her, "Skye, let's continue this conversation somewhere more private."

"Ah!" Skye let out a soft, embarrassed cry.

Only then did she remember they were still out in public. She quickly untangled herself from him and stepped back.

From a distance, a blonde observer frowned.

Skye—also known as Daisy Johnson—was considered a high-potential individual by S.H.I.E.L.D.

Yet, here she was, completely charmed by a man.

And that man, Ethan Lee—a seemingly lazy painter—had close relationships with multiple women.

How interesting.
