Chapter 3 - ch 3

As the Taking Wolf lay dying, it suddenly released a small burst of energy towards Shrey. The young warrior felt a strange sensation wash over him, and his body began to glitch and distort.

The Taking Wolf's eyes locked onto Shrey, and it spoke in a voice that was barely above a whisper.

"I hope you're the chosen one," it said, before its body slumped to the ground, lifeless.

Shrey stumbled backwards, his mind reeling from the sudden burst of energy. He looked down at his hands, and saw that they were still glitching and distorting.

"What...what just happened?" he stammered.

Mr. Raj's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with thoughts of what the Taking Wolf's final words could mean.

"I don't know," he said, "but we need to get out of here, now."

The team quickly gathered their belongings and made their way out of the dungeon, their minds reeling from the events that had just transpired.

As they emerged into the bright sunlight, Shrey couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. He looked down at his hands again, and saw that the glitching had stopped.

But he couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed within him.

"What do you think the Taking Wolf meant?" Shrey asked Mr. Raj, as they walked away from the dungeon.

Mr. Raj's expression was grim.

"I don't know," he said, "but I think we're about to find out."

The team continued on in silence, their minds racing with thoughts of what lay ahead.

As they walked, Shrey couldn't help but think about the Taking Wolf's final words. What did it mean by "the chosen one"? And why had it released that strange energy towards him?

He looked over at his teammates, and saw that they were all lost in thought. They were all trying to process what had just happened.

After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the entrance to the town. The guards nodded at them as they passed, and the team made their way to the local tavern.

As they sat down at a table, Mr. Raj called over the bartender.

"We need a room," he said. "And some food. We've had a long day."

The bartender nodded, and showed them to a large room in the back of the tavern.

As they sat down to eat, Shrey couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He didn't know what was going on, or what the future held.

But he did know one thing: he was ready for whatever came next.

The team ate in silence, their minds still reeling from the events of the day.

As they finished up, Mr. Raj stood up.

"We need to talk," he said. "About what happened today."

The team nodded, and followed Mr. Raj to a small room in the back of the tavern.

As they sat down, Mr. Raj began to explain.

"The Taking Wolf was no ordinary monster," he said. "It was a powerful creature, one that was rumored to have the power to see into the future."

Shrey's eyes widened as he listened.

"What does that have to do with me?" he asked.

Mr. Raj's expression was serious.

"I think the Taking Wolf saw something in you, Shrey," he said. "Something that made it think you're the chosen one."

Shrey's mind was racing.

"What does that mean?" he asked.

Mr. Raj shook his head.

"I don't know," he said. "But I think we're about to find out."

The team sat in silence for a moment, digesting what Mr. Raj had just said.

Then, suddenly, Shrey's body began to glow .

The team gasped in shock as Shrey's eyes turned bright blue.

"What's happening to me?" Shrey cried out, his voice filled with fear.

Mr. Raj's expression was grim.

"I don't know," he said. "But I think we're about to find out."

And with that, everything went black.
