After leaving the suburbs, he hurried back to his hostel and straight to his room.
Closing the door behind him, he took in a deep breath as he struggled to comprehend what had happened in the afternoon.
This was the second time he felt that kind of strange feeling, the feeling of being emptied out from the inside and losing his physical body.
The first time with Michael, he didn't feel it immediately, but this time he felt it more deeply than the first time.
It felt like he had abandoned his physical body and what remained was his physical body but what was even stranger was that the supposed physical body he removed was actually sent to another person's body and integrated into theirs.
Although the first time he had felt like he couldn't feel his body anymore, this time he could still feel it faintly like he had another body different from his.
When he thought back to the encounter, it seemed his attacker's eyes were hazy like he was not in total control of his body and when his cells took over it seemed they had taken control over his body as well.
He could also feel some sort of interference in his mind like it was preventing him from fully taking over, but it was still enough to influence his actions.
But most importantly, he could see through the man's eyes; whenever he opened his eyes, he could see two different scenes.
The one from his room, and the other one was from the man who had attacked him. The man had woken up from his stupor, and he could hear words from his thoughts.
What surprised him the most was that he could listen to his two different thoughts.
It looked like a glitch in the two different types of thoughts was the reason why his movements were so slow, and it took him so long to respond to commands.
David found it a bit troublesome to wrestle for control with the other two so he only listened to the struggle between the two without participating actively.
He saw the man at a loss at first then suddenly turn around sniffing in the air then walked out of the suburbs and start walking ahead.
He observed him for a while then discovered he was actually heading in his direction!
The moment he figured this out, he quickly left his room then headed to a desolate area of the city, he found the man already at his hostel who then sniffed a few times and turned to his new location again.
David quickly got to his destination, ensuring there were no one in the area then pulled up his hood higher.
Till now his body had not recovered back to its normal condition which meant he still couldn't feel anything and as a result still couldn't transform even now.
He decided to make use of his invulnerability to stall for time till he could recover and take his form.
Or he could just make use of the connection he could feel to interfere with his mind to take him down but either way, he was determined to take him down right here and now.
He watched as the man appeared at the end of the hallway walking into the shadow then the man rushed forward with a blinding speed with his fist thrown into the air.
David hurriedly dodged to the side then punched back trying to at least attempt a form of attack when his fist passed through the air without hitting the man.
'tsk, it's just as I thought' David said to himself as he saw the expected outcome when his body was suddenly drawn towards the man's body then he fused into the man's body like it was his own.
David felt weird and saw that even the man's clothes were gone, he looked at the nearby window then saw his face reflecting back at him.
He couldn't make sense of anything that had just happened and looked at his body still finding all the clusters there with an addition of the weird man's cluster proving that it was all real but the man was definitely gone.
'It was like he had suddenly vanished' David thought but felt that he was more powerful than ever and this time it was his own body and not some copy from someone else.
Then the thought came to him 'Did I just take his body as my own?'
