Unseen and Unspoken

I walk in and hear a girl say Another one. As if this class wasn't big enough, But I don't see who. I find a seat next to my best friend. "Hey Josh!" We High-five and I say "Wassup Caleb?" We sit down and I hear the same girl say When is the teacher going to get here? I look around, confused. "You good man?" Caleb asks. I tell him I'm fine. The teacher walks in. "Hello class, welcome to Middle school! I am Mrs. Lemon, your RLA teacher." I hear the voice again. Well, better than math, at least I sit next to Annie and Lin. Who is this girl and why she be so loud that I hear her instead of my own dang thoughts? Ugh, Dani's in this class? Every year, I swear! "Alright class, quiet down, I need to take attendance." Mrs. Lemon says (The class doesn't get quiet.) "Angelina?" "Here! But I go by Annie." "Okay, Kaylee?" "Here!" "Pierce?" "Green Team!" "We just need a 'here', thank you, Robert?" "Here!" "Alright, Danielle?" "Present!" She's so arrogant! Like, hello? you're not better than everyone else! UUGGHHHH!! "Yo, do you hear that girl? She think she own the place." I whisper to Caleb. "Who? Dani?" "No, not Dani, nevermind." Mrs. Lemon continues, "Caleb?" "Here!" "Avery?" "Call me Ava." It's the girl I've been hearing! But... she's on the other side of the classroom. Huh?? "Okay, Hannah?" "Here!" "Joshua?" "Green Team!" I say. "No need, Joshua. Helena?" "I go by Lin." "Beautiful name. Noel?" "Here!" "Harold?" "Go by Henry!" "Sss-aaaaa-ooh-ai-see?" "It's pronounced Saoirse (S-er-sh-a), but I'm here." "So sorry." "No, you're fine. It's hard to pronounce." "And Olivia?" "Here! Everyone calls me Olive though." "Perfect! Alright. So let's introduce ourselves, yeah? Olive, let's start with you!" Olive replies with "Okay, umm... I like pizza?" "Okay, next let's do...." Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!! The bell rang "See you tomorrow!" "So what's your next class?" Caleb asks me. Noooo! I have to do math and gym ALONE?? Nooooo! I need Lin!! Again? "Science." "Aw man, I got Math." "Oof. Math's my last." "You gonna be so dang tired dude." I shrug, "Dude, I'm getting tired thinking about math." and headed to science class. "Alright class, I am Mr. Platt, and I will be your science teacher. You are not in Elementary school anymore, and we don't go soft on you here. " Blah, blah, blah, yeah, yeah. That's what they said in 5th... and 4th... and 3rd. Anyways, more attendance and then I hear This teacher sucks! Can I switch to a different science teacher, like Mr. Platt or something? HUH?????? Who is this girl, anyways? Sounded exactly like Ava, from first period, maybe I should become friends with her? And I have to sit next to a boy?? UUUGGHH! Never mind, guess she doesn't like boys. Girls are weird, like, what's wrong with being a boy? Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!! The bells rings. "To tech apps." I mumble. More classes, attendance, and voice inputs about classes, students, teachers, and something about someone named Avery until math is over and we leave. The name 'Avery' feels important? Weird.
