✿ CHAPTER 16 ✿
2 DAYS LATER.
Finally, I came back home from college. Today was the day we'd have dinner with the CEO of My dad's company. I couldn't describe this feeling I had, but I felt nervous deep inside of me. Was it because I was going on a dinner night with a CEO? I pushed the feeling aside as I walked to my room, but a voice called me back.
"Young miss, you're back home. The madam instructed for you to get ready in an hour" Uncle Charles said from down the stairs.
I nodded "ok, I'll get ready now" With that I walked into my room. I set my bag down and walked into the bathroom to take a cool shower.
A few minutes later after showering, I walked up to my closet, having another difficult challenge.
TO CHOOSE A DRESS
This has always been my challenge whenever I'm going somewhere important with my parents. They always want me to dress responsibly and elegant as a woman, but when I'm back at home I can dress however I like without anyone telling me what to wear. After 10 minutes of searching for THE PERFECT DRESS, I couldn't seem to find the one for this special occasion. Finally, after much deliberation, I chose a dress.
My parents were waiting for me downstairs, Immediately I stepped down the stairs, my parents' eyes drifted towards me in shock. The evening dress I wore flowed like liquid midnight, a cascade of deep indigo silk that shimmered softly with every movement I made.
The off-shoulder neckline framed my collarbones, accentuating the delicate curve of my neck, while a whisper of lace trailed down the bodice, a subtle nod to vintage elegance. The dress hugged my waist before flaring out, creating a silhouette reminiscent of a blooming flower.
As I approached them, the fabric swirled around my legs, leaving a faint trail of enchantment in my walk. The hem brushed against my ankles, revealing just a hint of silver stiletto heels that sparkled like stars against the floors.
My hair swept into an elegant updo, was adorned with a single sapphire clip that caught the light, mirroring the twinkling gems on my dress. At this moment my dad said-
"You look just like your mom" he was stunned at how beautiful I looked, not like the child he always sees, he saw a woman right in front of his eyes. My mom was also stunned but she said nothing to me.
"Let's go. We're getting late" She walked out of the house.
"Do you think this ok Dad?" I was quite nervous about this dress.
"You look so stunning" he smiled as stretched out a hand for me. I was startled, why was my dad suddenly being kind towards me?.
He urged me to take his hand, I didn't have a choice but to link his hand together with mine as we both walked out of the house into the waiting Bentley.
Immediately we got into the car, My mom gazed out of the window without even glancing at me.
"Dad, where are we having dinner?"
"You'll know when we get there" he smiled as the chauffeur began driving away.
I smiled as I also gazed out the window.
In less than 20 minutes, we arrived at a high-end Restaurant…the chandeliers shone brightly along the hallway as the three of us walked into the Restaurant.
I have been to many Restaurants but this one seems different. I suddenly had a weird feeling about this place, why?
