Skysher ambled from the clerk's desk, his face colored with a devious smirk. Things were actually taking a good turn for him. Maybe destiny decided to aid him?
He glanced at his pocket, Curious to take a second look at the bronze jade. Suddenly Skysher felt strange. Something had shifted, but what?
Skysher stood straight trying to see what it was. His eyes widened. He was no longer standing on the floor of Martial Hall, He was elsewhere!
He was on Yunshan Mountain.
Skysher's mouth gaped, and his senses confused. His gaze wandered around at the Majestic sight before him.
The land stretched for miles and miles without ending. Every direction Skysher took to look was an infinite span of grace. The ground below was covered with all types of herbs and breathtaking flowers.
Pure and untapped Energy hovered in the air, giving every small plant or weed in sight a glorious glow. Even the small breeze of wind was filled with power!
"So, This is Yunshan Mountain huh?"
As Skysher relished the sight before him, he felt a small tingle from his pocket. Out of nowhere, his pocket started to glow; his body basked in the warmth.
Curious, Skysher dashed his hand inside it, landing it on the bronze jade. "Huh?" Skysher was confused, 'How could a small thing produce so much energy' his thoughts lingered as his fingers crashed on the jade.
Skysher slowly took out the jade, his hand grazing over his clothes. His eyes followed his movement, to take sight of what awaited them. Suddenly, a blinding flare flashed Skysher.
His eyes immediately closed, his left hand covering them from the danger. Abruptly, just as it began, the light vanished! Instead, the jade held a small glow surrounding its edges.
Ace glanced at the jade, his body straight and his mind focused. He started to read the shining text on the jade.
«Mission»
Gather 1kg of shadegrass.
«Destination»
Yunshan Mountain
«Validity»
2 days!
«Mission Rank»

«Caution»
The Mission will be ineffective if returned after 2 days.
Skysher skimmed through the details. His mind lingered on the name shadegrass. How could he find it If he had no idea what it looked like?
As if on cue, the jade started to shift again. Its light shot towards the sky as it painted a picture. It was shadegrass. The picture featured a plant with dark black blades of grass, just as the name implied.
Then out of nowhere, Something hit Skysher's head. "Ouchhhh," he yelled, his hand dashing to hold his head. It was as if he was hit by a rock, the impact leaving a painful sting.
"What the," he snapped, searching for whatever hit him. Then, his eyes saw it. A bracelet-shaped green marble that lay beneath his feet. Skysher picked it up, its weight was surprisingly light compared to its size.
Skysher raised an eyebrow, he was familiar with that type of bracelet, but he wasn't quite sure. Maybe the jade held answers to what it was? His neck jerked at the jade; sure enough, the jade was showing its picture.
Then, the jade showed a series of pictures or steps on how to use it. The green stone bracelet was a storage bracelet, and it was to store the shadegrass he collected.
As per units, Skysher needed to collect 1 kilogram worth of shadegrass which was exactly the capacity of the bracelet.
Skysher smiled. "Smart!" he remarked looking at the bracelet. He hadn't expected the Academy to follow such a highly advanced system.
Looking at the jade, Skysher remembered when it started glowing. That must've been when it brought him to the destination.
Meaning that after he was done with gathering all the shadegrass, he was probably going to get back the same way!
Skysher glanced to his right, looking at the vast field ahead of him. He had less than five hours to get fifty zephyroots and he had exactly two days to find shadegrass. It was obvious which came first.
He needed to find zephyroots and he needed to find them fast. After all, who knew what the system would do to him if he hadn't completed the mission. He had only himself to blame for that.
Skysher's grip tightened as his blood rushed. Without a word, he took both the jade and the bracelet and shoved them back into his pocket. His eyes darting to find any clue.
'Maybe!' an idea flashed in Skysher's mind.
Skysher started walking towards the field of grass In front of him, his steps firm and steady. Suddenly he stopped, turning back to get a view of the mountain that shadowed him.
Skysher eyes shrank, and his mouth gaped. His neck extended to its limit, yet the mountain still kept going. Beyond the clouds, beyond the sky, beyond the eye's reach.
"Oh come on! How am I supposed to get to the peak?"
According to his knowledge from the novel, the peak of Yunshan Mountain was one that held quality herbs, like zephyroots. But who would have ever imagined the mountain to be that tall!
[Ding]
>Stop whining and start climbing.
Skysher sighed, paying no attention to the system and making his way towards the mountain. Climbing it he squinted his eyes around for the two herbs.
Skysher climbed and climbed, While the scene got more and more beautiful. The more he climbed, the more stunning herbs he saw. Yet Skysher didn't relish in them.
'Damn it, I thought this would be fun! But my legsss, they're killing meee' Skysher's face became dull, his hands wiggling behind him and his legs taking one painful step at a time.
Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. He had reached his limit. "Ahhhhh" he yelled as he collapsed, Falling on a bed of soft grass. His face smiling upon impact.
He had climbed for nearly an hour, and yet he was nowhere near the peak, not even close. The thought of even making it made his legs cramp.
'Water!' he thought clinging to his dry and thirsty throat. The dehydration and hunger were catching up with him. Forget about drinking a glass of water, he hadn't taken a bite of food since he came to the world.
Suddenly, Skysher heard something; it was the gushing of water! Skysher blinked, his energy replenished by the mere thought of having water around. He laid back on the bed of grass, Concentrating on the vibration.
His mouth started watering, daydreaming of cooking fish and drinking to his heart's desire. Getting a lock on his target, Skysher smiled.
Standing up as he stretched his hands and legs, he was ready to Move once more! His sight set on nothing else but trying to fill his stomach. After all, he couldn't go for a hunt with an empty stomach!
