Chapter 2 - The Right Person

As we all know, there are three types of Haki in the pirate world.

They are Observation Haki, Armament Haki, and Conqueror's Haki.

The first two can be mastered and used proficiently through acquired learning.

In the New World, Observation Haki and Armament Haki are not rare, but there are still only a limited number of people who can use them.

But Conqueror's Haki is different.

It is something one is born with—if you don't have it, you can't acquire it later.

There is no such thing as gaining it through effort.

In the entire pirate world, very few people can master Conqueror's Haki.

Each of them is a well-known figure in the New World.

The future fleet admiral Sengoku, the Emperor of the Beasts Kaido, the Four Emperors Shanks, Rayleigh, and Luffy, they are all Conqueror's Haki users.

They are also among the strongest.

Even those slightly weaker, like Pirate Empress Hancock and Heavenly Yaksha Doflamingo, are still powerful figures who command respect.

For Reno, the most enticing option was naturally the third task.

As long as he mastered Conqueror's Haki, he would step into the ranks of the strong.

"System, choose the third task!"

Reno muttered in his heart.

For him, this was something he would have done anyway.

Even if the system hadn't given him this task, he would have set out to sea to recruit talented people and build his own forces.

The Kingdom of Custer was merely a mid-sized country, and the strongest fighters were only at the level of Marine Vice Admirals.

There were very few people with the talent for training.

So this time, he had to set sail!

[Congratulations to Host for successfully accepting the task!]

If judged by the standard that Rogge is an A-rank talent, then those with S-rank or higher will undoubtedly become the top powerhouses of the future.

For a moment, many figures flashed through Reno's mind.

But most of them were ruled out.

Either they were over ten years old, or they were from enemy factions.

He couldn't take that risk.

Finally, a particular figure was fixed in Reno's mind.

Thinking of this person, Reno couldn't help but smile.

Both in age and talent, she was a perfect fit.

Especially talent—there was probably no one else in the entire pirate world who could compare to her!

If she didn't reach S-rank, then there was probably no second person who could.

This person was Charlotte Linlin!

That is, BIG MOM!

A future Emperor of the New World!

The sole ruler of Whole Cake Island!

A born destroyer, a true monster!

At five years old, Charlotte Linlin could kill a bear with a single punch.

She once tried to help a giant swat a mosquito off his body, but ended up breaking his ribs with a slap.

With her natural steel balloon-like body, any weapon that slashed her wouldn't harm her—it would only break the blade.

She single-handedly destroyed the entire country of Elbaph.

Carmel had no choice but to take Charlotte Linlin away from Elbaph.

At six years old, Carmel mysteriously died. Charlotte Linlin accidentally obtained the Soul-Soul Fruit and was manipulated by Streusen into forming a pirate crew, officially setting sail.

By the time she was ten, her bounty had already reached 500 million Berries!

And this wasn't in Luffy's era—it was during the Rocks era.

In this period, pirates with a bounty of over 100 million were already considered major threats.

In the pirate world, when it came to raw talent, Charlotte Linlin was truly one of a kind.

No one could compare!

Later, the reason Charlotte Linlin never became the world's strongest was largely due to Streusen.

She was completely deceived by that guy.

After making a name for herself at sea, instead of using her incredible talent to train, she spent most of her energy having children.

She built a pirate crew that was entirely linked by blood.

At seventeen, this grueling and lengthy process began, lasting all the way until she was sixty-eight.

For fifty-one years, Charlotte Linlin was either giving birth or eating sweets during her pregnancies.

She completely abandoned training and chose a life of indulgence.

And yet, she still relied on her monstrous talent to become one of the Four Emperors who dominated the New World.

"Hehehe... Even after neglecting training for decades, she can still hold the position of an Emperor. That level of talent is terrifying."

"If she had trained from a young age, just how powerful could she have become?!"

Thinking about this, Reno felt even more excited.

If he remembered correctly, this year was exactly when Charlotte Linlin was abandoned.

Finding her wouldn't be difficult.

According to the original story, this was the year when her parents abandoned her in Elbaph, and she was taken in by Sister Carmel.

Whether she had already been abandoned or not, Elbaph was still the place she needed to go.

The only thing Reno had to be wary of was Carmel.

To the outside world, she was a kind nun who loved and cared for children.

She even established a place called "Sheep's House" to take in homeless children.

But in reality, Carmel was a human trafficker who had been working with the World Government for years.

She sold children to the World Government in exchange for rewards.

Those with strong training potential would be brainwashed and turned into weapons.

As for those with mediocre talent, they were simply left to fend for themselves.

"A Soul-Soul Fruit user?"

Reno narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint flashing within them.

Carmel's strength was never mentioned in the original story, so Reno wasn't sure how much she had developed her Soul-Soul Fruit abilities.

All he knew was that she had a soul-based Homie named Pandora.

Though it usually just lit her cigarettes, it likely had combat capabilities, meaning he had to be careful.

But since he had set his sights on her, Carmel's fate was already sealed.

"Rogge, how long will it take to reach Elbaph from here?"

Reno asked without looking back.
