The three travelers quickly became well-acquainted during the early stages of their journey. However, as with all adventures, theirs too had a destination—and in due course, they reached the formidable Empire of Brandoz. Upon their arrival, they rendezvoused with four other seasoned adventurers: one of A-rank caliber and three of B-rank proficiency.
A strategic plan had already been formulated to confront the approaching demonic threat. According to this plan, the A-rank adventurer, accompanied by two of the B-ranks, would initiate a direct assault on the devil. Meanwhile, Lilith and the remaining B-rank would remain at a safe distance, channeling holy magic to imbue the others' weapons with divine energy. However, with the recent addition of Rin and Wal to the group, their roles shifted—now, Rin and Wal would serve as protectors for the two magic users, ensuring their safety during the intense confrontation.
Although the devil had not yet reached the city, previous attacks on Brandoz suggest that this area is a highly probable target. Given that devils must consume flesh in order to survive, and considering this city is the only significantly populated area in proximity to the last known point of attack, it is almost certain that the fiend's next strike will occur here.
Due to the catastrophic devastation the devil is capable of unleashing, the group intends to intercept the creature before it reaches the city. They have carefully calculated its likely path and plan to engage it at a strategic location where collateral damage can be minimized and tactical advantage maximized.
Only four days remain until the critical deadline imposed by Liz—a temporal boundary that now looms over the entire mission, lending urgency and weight to every decision the group must make.
