"Hello, everyone! My name is Iruka Umino. I'll be your homeroom teacher from now on."
When the bell rang signaling the start of class, a young man in a green flak jacket walked into the classroom, stepped up to the lectern, and introduced himself to Izayoi and the others. Then he smiled and said, "Before we officially begin, let's all introduce ourselves, starting from the front row on the left."
"I'm…"
"Hi, everyone! I'm Ino Yamanaka. Looking forward to studying with you!"
"My name's Shino Aburame."
"I'm Sasuke Uchiha."
"I'm the great Naruto Uzumaki! Remember this name, 'cause I'm gonna be Hokage one day!"
"…"
Everyone introduced themselves in their own way, each person's personality shining through. The one who stood out the most was Naruto, whom Iruka still disliked at this early point. He'd just met the class, so no one jeered at his cocky self-introduction yet.
When it was Hinata's turn, she spoke softly and stammered: "M–My name is Hinata Hyuuga. Pl–Please take care of me."
Her shy demeanor was a sharp contrast to Ino's lively, outgoing vibe. Luckily, this isn't a normal world; otherwise, such a timid heiress might easily end up isolated or bullied.
"Hey, everyone—my name's Izayoi."
Izayoi stood up and said his name. It was a simple introduction, but his face—adorable in the same way Sasuke's was—drew the attention of quite a few girls. He already knew the girls in this world matured quickly, but still, feeling all those intense gazes made him click his tongue silently in amazement.
Kids here start living independently at three, pick up on romance by five or six, fight in wars at twelve, and become saviors by fifteen or sixteen…that's just how outrageous this world can be. Because of that, the title of "genius" carries a lot of weight in the Naruto universe.
Once everyone finished their intros, the next step was something Izayoi was very familiar with: handing out textbooks. But when he received them, the corners of his mouth twitched involuntarily. National Language and Math, sure, those made sense. But Biology, Medical Studies, and Chemistry? Seriously?
It made him realize why kids in this world gain emotional awareness so early—apparently, it's not unusual. Along with those textbooks, Iruka gave each student a scroll detailing how to extract chakra.
"Chakra is a special energy you create by blending the physical energy from all 130 trillion cells in your body with your spiritual energy in the right proportions. It's the key to becoming a ninja," Iruka explained. "Our entrance exam simply screened for those who meet the minimum standards in both mental and physical energy. If you don't have chakra yet, you can boost these two energies by studying and working out. But if you can't do it by the end of the probationary period, you'll still be asked to withdraw."
Some kids from civilian families, who had yet to manifest any chakra, immediately looked anxious. They'd likely become Iruka's favorite "model students" in no time. Izayoi kept quiet, knowing full well the students in Class 1-A were already the cream of the crop—if you weren't a ninja-clan kid, you were a civilian with especially good aptitude. Just by glancing around, Izayoi could see that every classmate at least had a White-tier talent entry, and many had a Green-tier "Chunin Aptitude." That meant that even if they didn't pass their graduation exam, they could still develop into Genin-level ninjas one day. And those with a Green-tier entry, assuming nothing terrible happens, could become actual Chunin in the future.
As for the ninja clan kids like Ino Yamanaka, each of them had Blue "Jonin Aptitude." But what really caught Izayoi's eye was Sakura Haruno's ninja potential—Green (Chunin Aptitude). In contrast, her "Chakra Control" entry was surprisingly high-level at Purple, as if it were on par with a Kekkei Genkai. With such stellar chakra control, you'd think she'd achieve more than Chunin. But just like how Hinata's "Princess of the Byakugan" was Red while her actual aptitude was only Jonin-level, Sakura could only reach the rank of Chunin if things continued "as is." If she managed to "rewrite her fate," she'd grow into one of the new "Legendary Sannin."
After distributing the textbooks and scrolls, Iruka didn't give them any downtime. Classes began right away. The morning was for academic subjects, and the afternoon for physical education—including basic workouts and throwing practice with small stones. There was no sign of lessons on the Three Basic Techniques, the Body Flicker Technique, invisibility, or even kunai and shuriken skills. They also skipped taijutsu sparring. Apparently, this first semester of first grade was all about building a strong academic and physical foundation.
At first, Izayoi took part in those sessions. But once he realized they weren't going to teach actual taijutsu matches yet, he decided his real body didn't need to be there at the Academy. Ever since acquiring the Otsutsuki Bloodline at age three, Izayoi's chakra reserves were absurd. Even Kakashi Hatake in the original storyline—who could perform Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu by five or six—didn't come close to him. In terms of shadow clone duration and toughness, Izayoi's clones were even more impressive than Itachi Uchiha's.
So, he left a shadow clone at the school while his real self used the Transformation Technique to appear as an older boy and headed out to an abandoned training field to practice ninjutsu.
"Wind Release: Gale Palm!"
Standing in the clearing, Izayoi went through the motions of forming hand seals, compressing his wind-chakra into a vortex in his palm, then thrusting it forward, unleashing a violent gust that kicked up a wave of dust.
Yes—he was only pretending to form seals, since he could actually cast these jutsu without them. To be precise, aside from purely supportive jutsu like the Three Basic Techniques or Shadow Clone Jutsu, he could perform any elemental ninjutsu without using hand seals at all.
There's no doubt that a Red-tier entry can still differ in power, and the Otsutsuki Bloodline at Red-tier surpassed not only the Sage Body and Sage Eyes but also the "Princess of the Byakugan." It gave him not just insane chakra capacity but also an over-the-top knack for ninjutsu. Much like members of the Otsutsuki clan in the distant past—before Indra invented hand signs—Izayoi could cast five-element releases with no seals required.
Even Hashirama Senju needed to clap his hands together to summon his jutsu. Izayoi didn't need anything of the sort. This wasn't just prodigious talent, it was a trump card. After all, if an enemy thought he still needed to form seals, Izayoi could suddenly launch a jutsu out of nowhere and catch them totally off guard.
