Moments afterwards, Zane was finally done washing his self. He then picked up his clothes and started changing in a more formal clothes. After all, he was going to go back to the Ironveil castle, 'again'. Supposedly, he should be resting, I mean, he just got back from a hunt. Well, he would if the lake hadn't healed him.
And he also had a lot of energy today, since he slept pretty long. '10 hours, huh? Dang, I was more exhausted than I thought.' Zane couldn't help but be surprised.
After Zane dressed himself up, he then walk out his room. However, what he saw next made his eyes widen. It was Vale. Vale had just woke up, so he didn't look that physically appealing, with his hair standing. Vale was in the dining table, preparing his breakfast.
Seeing that Zane went out of his bedroom, dressed formally. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. He stared at Zane for a moment before saying something. He then said.
"Woah, what's up with your outfit, Zane? Where the hell are you going again?"
Hearing Vale's voice, a faint smile appeared on his face. He then responded with a casual tone.
"Well, I'm going back again to Ironveil."
Vale stared at him strangely, he then responded.
"What? Didn't you just go to Ironveil yesterday?"
Zane paused for a moment, he then said.
"...Well, you see, I forgot something important, and I have to go back again."
Vale's expression became even more curious, hearing Zane's excuses. Vale had actually seen through Zane, since yesterday. It was unusual for him to go out at night after all. And go back at Ironveil. Vale could immediately tell something was up, he just didn't wanna bring it up since he wasn't really sure.
But now, Zane is leaving again, and... wearing formal clothes too. Vale looked at Zane with his eyes slightly closed for a moment, as if inspecting Zane. He then put his hand in his chin and said.
"Ah... I see what's going on. Zane, you really grew up!"
Hearing Vale's words, Zane simply stood still and stared at Vale blankly. For some reason, he could hear the human-like demon beside him giggling about something. After moment of silence, Vale finally spoke once again.
"Ah, I wouldn't want to waste any more of your time, Zane. You should go already."
Zane's eyes started tweaking, however, he refrained his self from saying anything else and just headed to the door and went outside. 'Ronin should be outside by now, I told him yesterday I would comeback again early in the morning.'
Zane hurried outside of the academy. After getting out of the academy's gate, sure enough, Ronin was already there. Zane released a sigh, glad that he wouldn't have to wait outside of the gate for a while. Aside from that, he was so hungry already, and just wanted to hurry off to Ironveil and eat some of Lyra's cooking. He hadn't eat anything since last night after all.
Zane approached Ronin with a smile on his face, and said. "Ah, thanks for coming so early in the morning, Ronin." Ronin smiled, hearing Zane's words, he then nodded. Zane then entered the carriage, and after he got in to the carriage, it immediately started to move.
Velrath sat down beside Zane, and for some reason. Velrath's serious demeanor was now gone. He looked unusually happy today. 'Ah, right. He's probably excited to meet Lyra.' Zane had noticed that Velrath's taste for woman was the soft and caring type of woman. 'Such an unusual taste for a demon.'
Although, Zane had expected him to look much more serious after hearing about Sylvaris, surprisingly, he didn't really bring it up anymore. Knowing that, Zane simply sat still on the seat, and relaxed, letting the cool breeze of the air pass by him.
...
Moment's afterwards, they finally arrived at Ironveil castle. Zane gently got out of the carriage, and headed through the gates. He then went inside the gate, heading inside the castle to meet Lyra. Ignoring the knights, looking at him strangely, he headed inside the castle and roamed around for a while.
After roaming around the castle for a while, he finally saw her. Lyra. Lyra was wiping the dining table. Lyra was so focused on his work that he didn't even notice Zane standing before her. Zane stared at her for a moment, before calling her out.
"Uhm, Lyra."
Hearing a familiar voice, Lyra's eyes widened, then she looked towards the man standing before her. "Z-Zane?! Why are you here? Why didn't you tell me you were coming back? I could've prepared foods for you."
Hearing Lyra's voice, a gentle smile appeared on Zane's face. "Yeah, well. Actually could you prepare some foods for me, please? I am really hungry." Lyra stared at her strangely for a moment, she then nodded and said. "Alright, but you better tell me later, why you came back here."
Zane nodded and said: "Sure, I will."
Zane then sat down and waited for Lyra to fully prepare the foods. Velrath also sat down beside Zane, as if patiently waiting for the food as well.
Moments afterwards, she finally prepared all the foods on the dining table. As Lyra prepared all the food on the table, a hint of awe could be seen on Zane's eyes. Not even wasting a single second, he grabbed the plate and started eating it, not even minding how he looked, eating the foods in front of him.
"W-woah, eat slowly Zane... you'll choke your self."
Even Velrath couldn't help but look at Zane weirdly. "Dang kid, is the food that delicious?" Zane didn't mind Velrath's words and just continued eating, as if there was no tomorrow. Zane had never felt this hungry before, and the only thing on his mind was eat, and eat as much as he could.
Moments after, Zane finally finished eating. Leaning back on the seat gently, he released a sigh. 'That was good.'
Lyra was cleaning the table, and after she was done. She finally confronted Zane, and asked the the questions that had been in her mind, since earlier.
"So, Zane. Why are you here exactly?"
Zane who was looking up the ceiling, shifter his gaze towards Lyra. He then said in a calm tone, that shook Lyra to the core.
"Ah, about that... I am planning on doing the trial again."
