Chapter 12 - This... is all your fault

"May I come in?"

Micheal instinctively drew the curtains of the shower, fearing that he would suddenly open the door, but he didn't.

'Yeah, that's right. I told him never to come in unless he was given a go-ahead.' he sighed in relief. What was he so scared of? "I'm taking a shower right now," he said. "So, you can't come in."

"I... Want to be of help to you." Noah suddenly said.

"What do you mean? I already gave you shores you can do. So, what more help can you give?"

"But I feel they are not enough to pay up for freeloading off you right now," Noah said.

'Look who's playing with words.' Micheal thought. "It's not like you can do anything else. So, just stick to what I gave you and leave me be." He said, and no response came from Noah.

Micheal assumed he was gone and decided to keep bathing, trying to reach his back and then he cussed out.

"Fuck! Did my arms grow short because of stress? Why can't I reach my back?" He asked and then Noah spoke up,

"I'll help you scrub your back!"

It took Micheal by surprise and before he knew it, he accidentally dropped his sponge. And in an attempt to balance himself, he stepped on that same sponge and slipped on it, falling hard.

His back hit the wall and then he fell to the floor.

Hearing the loud crash, Noah immediately opened the door and Michael's eyes widened. He closed his opened legs and grabbed the nearest thing, covering up as soon as he could.

"What are you doing?! I told you not to come in!" Micheal yelled at him, his eyes filled with rage and his face contorted in anger.

"I heard you fall and wanted to help you." He said, getting closer but Micheal barked louder.

"Stop right there. Don't come close to me, you rogue." He yelled and stood up, grabbing his towel and covering himself up.

He was angry.

"This happened because of you." Micheal hissed at him. "Don't you understand English at all, or do I need to bark at you first before you understand? Move aside." He walked past him and headed for his room, slamming the door.

Noah stood there without a word. The shower was still on. It watched away Micheal's blood. He had been wounded.

Noah's eyes slightly squinted and then he went to turn off the shower, washing away the blood himself.

He wasn't a vampire, and yet he could catch a whiff of the blood that had been spilled, what was that? He wanted... To find the source.

Micheal cussed over and over as he tried to stop the bleeding on his elbow. How did he get such a deep cut all of a sudden? He was sure his back hit the wall.

"This... Is all his fault." He thought out loud, grimacing in pain.

It hurt a lot.

And then Noah knocked on the door.

"Can I come in?" He asked but Micheal raged at him.

"Stay right there!" He yelled. "Don't come near me. You've done enough damage for one day, Noah. You know it."

Noah went silent but he knocked again.

"Let me fix it this time." He said but it only got Micheal annoyed.

"You can say that after you've fixed the mess in the kitchen. You won't be able to fix anything because you're an Alpha who had everyone doing everything for you. So, stay away from me or I'll only suffer more."

He said his kind and heard Noah's retreating steps.

He let out a sigh of relief and then noticed the blood had formed a pool on the floor.

"Christ! Just how deep does the wound go?" He asked and gritted his teeth. "It seems I'll have to get this stitched. This is a headache, ugh. It's probably the universe telling me it's a bad idea to let him stay in my house. He'll only bring trouble."

The bleeding stopped for a while. He decided to put on some clothes and then rush down to the pharmacy to get it stitched but as he was putting on his clothes, Noah knocked on the door again.

"Why are you so persistent? Mind your business, Noah!" Micheal yelled.

"I fixed it." Noah suddenly said, confusing Micheal.

"What... What did you fix?" He asked, going towards the door. "I hope you didn't make another mess for me to clear. If you did, I swear..."

"I really did fix it." Noah said and Micheal opened the door. "I fixed the kitchen."

Turned out, Noah went to clean the kitchen. Though he was confused about what went where he decided to at least put them all back the way he found them before his egg-venture.

But the thing was... The things he placed back were not exactly clean. He rinsed them and put them back, but that did not mean they were clean. But it was an effort.

He picked up all the eggshells, too. The kitchen was next to revived.

"So, you call this fixed?" Micheal asked him, seeing there was still a series of mess to clear. He looked at Noah who had his head bowed.

He looked apologetic, but Micheal was certain he wouldn't hear an 'I'm sorry' come from the mouth of a prideful and esteemed Alpha such as himself.

"Okay, you did put in an effort." Micheal said. "And you proved your point. So, now what?"

"Now, allow me to stitch your elbow." He said, his eyes on Micheal's bleeding elbow but Micheal immediately declined.

"Absolutely not!"
