Even if she were lucky enough to get full marks in all the subjects in the year-end exam, she would not be awarded the class valedictorian title.
Similarly, even if Izayoi had been negligent in the cultural test and answered a question incorrectly, losing to Sakura Haruno by mistake, the latter would not be class valedictorian because of poor overall grades.
In the first year, only Sasuke Uchiha, Shino Aburame, and Izayoi hadn't lost in actual fighting.
Among the three, Sasuke Uchiha and Shino Aburame's overall grades for cultural exam weren't better than, nor as good as, Izayoi's, nor even better than, Hinata's.
Even though they got full points on the year-end test, they would never be class valedictorian.
As long as Hinata scored full in actual combat, she would certainly place second.
As long as there were no others from other classes with higher average grades than Hinata.
But of course, it was not possible.
On shuriken throwing, Izayoi attained full marks quite easily.
On taijutsu matches, Izayoi fought with a person that everyone did not expect.
"Second round, Izayoi versus Naruto Uzumaki."
Class One, Grade One students formed a circle on the open field.
Umino Iruka stood in the middle of the circle, holding a clipboard and screaming.
"Eh."
