Chapter 16 - World Government

Night Guild's Ship – The Crew's Perspective

The ship rocked beneath their feet, a sensation that few of the crew members had ever experienced. The battle on the horizon between their captain, Hiro, and the Marine Admiral Kizaru had already turned the seas into a maelstrom of energy. There was no turning back now.

Hikari stood at the helm of the ship, her hand gripping the wheel with fierce precision. Despite the chaos outside, her mind raced with calculations. Hiro had always been an enigma to her. Cold, calculating, yet endlessly unpredictable. She knew that his power had no real limits… but Kizaru was no slouch. He wouldn't be so easily beaten.

"Hikari," Soruto said, his voice unusually tense, "Are we just going to watch this from here?"

She gave him a sharp look, her silver eyes glinting with determination. "We can't afford to move in just yet. We're too far. Hiro needs space to maneuver—he knows what he's doing."

But Musica, ever the adventurous spirit, was already making his way toward the ship's edge, guitar in hand. "I don't know about that. If we just sit here, we're going to be left out of all the fun!"

Hikari's eyes softened slightly, her lips curling into a small smile. "Musica, you'll get your chance. But not yet."

Marine Warship – Onigumo's Perspective

The Marine Vice Admiral gritted his teeth as the battlefield outside continued to warp and shift. Hiro and Kizaru had clashed with such ferocity that the very air felt like it was about to snap in half. The sea churned violently, as if it too could feel the rage of their power.

The Fujitora had already called for reinforcements. Kizaru, despite his overwhelming strength, couldn't afford to play around much longer. The stakes were growing higher.

Onigumo clenched his fists, his gaze scanning the area as his mind ticked into motion. "Admiral Kizaru can handle himself," he muttered, but even as he said the words, his eyes flicked toward the approaching fleet. "But the longer they fight, the more destruction will rain down on us."

He turned sharply to a subordinate. "Gather the other Marines. We can't afford to let this battle get out of hand."

The subordinate nodded and quickly scrambled to relay the orders.

"Call in the rest of the forces. I want every ship and soldier mobilized. Kizaru won't be able to hold them off forever."

The Battlefield

The sea had become a warzone. Waves crashed violently against the remnants of Kizaru's warship, now barely holding together. The flashes of golden light and the consuming darkness of Hiro's powers collided in mid-air, creating shockwaves that reverberated across the ocean.

Kizaru's body flickered in and out of existence with lightning speed, each strike aimed with deadly precision, but Hiro's eyes never wavered. His body moved with unnatural grace, each movement flowing as if the very shadows of the world bent to his will.

"You're fast," Hiro remarked casually, though his voice barely rose above the roar of their battle. "But you're still too predictable."

Kizaru, his golden light pulsing around him like a shield, barely registered the words. His next attack was faster than any before it, a spear of light streaking directly for Hiro's chest.

But the shadows reacted before Hiro even moved. His body flickered as the darkness around him consumed the light, warping the trajectory of Kizaru's attack.

With a growl of frustration, Kizaru stepped back and raised his hands. "You may be tough, but I don't need to be predictable."

Suddenly, a wall of light erupted from his body, expanding rapidly in all directions. The sheer force of it shattered the air, and Hiro's shadows recoiled, but not in time to stop the blinding flash.

The light engulfed the battlefield, but Hiro's form twisted and turned, darkness trailing him as he disappeared.

A moment later, he reappeared behind Kizaru.

"Not bad," Hiro commented, his tone calm as ever. "But you'll need more than that to catch me."

The world exploded in a wave of sound and fury as Hiro and Kizaru continued to clash. But this time, the ground beneath them began to tremble, signaling the arrival of more forces.

Marine Fleet – Approaching Reinforcements

It wasn't just the Marines who were coming. On the horizon, the silhouette of another ship appeared—a massive, imposing vessel adorned with the marks of World Government insignia.

Admiral Kizaru had requested reinforcements. And the World Government had answered.

"Deploy the Sea Kings," a commanding voice bellowed. "Prepare for battle. Admiral Kizaru's orders are to neutralize these pirates immediately."

---

Back on the Night Guild's ship, the entire crew was at attention. The tension in the air was palpable as they stared at the distant scene. Even though they couldn't see the approaching fleet, they could feel the shift in the atmosphere.

"Reinforcements are coming," Soruto murmured, his eyes narrowing. "This is bad, isn't it?"

Hikari, ever vigilant, glanced at the horizon. "It's not just bad. It's a serious problem."

Musica gripped his guitar even tighter. "Guess it's time to join the fun then."

The rest of the crew began to rally, preparing for what they knew would be an all-out battle. The clash between Hiro and Kizaru had already escalated far beyond a one-on-one fight. Now, the battlefield was set to include more than just Marine reinforcements.

---

As Hiro surveyed the incoming battle, he knew what was coming. His Night Night no Mi allowed him to manipulate the battlefield with ease, but the sheer numbers that were now gathering were dangerous.

Kizaru seemed to realize this as well.

"I've been having fun," Kizaru admitted with a sarcastic grin, wiping a trickle of blood from his mouth. "But I think it's time we finish this. You can't stop everything that's coming."

Hiro's crimson eyes glinted with menace. "We'll see about that."

As the battle escalated, Hiro began to draw upon his full strength, his shadows twisting and flickering around him. The Night Guild ship's sails were already raised, and its crew prepared for the inevitable fight.

Marine Fleet – A New Commander Arrives

Amid the chaos, another ship appeared, its flag unfurling as it revealed the insignia of a high-ranking Marine officer. The crew on board was uniform, dressed in white and black, and their energy was unmistakable—elite Marines.

On board stood Admiral Fujitora, his massive frame looming as his eyes narrowed in on the battle.

"This has gone on long enough," Fujitora muttered, his eyes never leaving the battlefield. "Kizaru can handle himself, but the situation has escalated beyond expectations. I'll end this now."

He stepped forward, his gravity-based powers already shifting the air around him, making the earth tremble beneath his feet.

Kizaru looked at Hiro one final time, his smile fading into something far more serious. "Looks like the fun's over."
