Chapter 24 - Solemn Of Strength

Slowly Rashin opened his eyes and scanned his surroundings. The wooden chair, the wooden table beside, and the plate that resided silently on it. The window that was opened all of the time, the bed, and the blanket. Everything was in place and nothing had changed.

"Where... Am... I?"

Silent: "What?!! Why is he asking that stupid question?! What the hell happened to him?"

'This room, the chair, the table, the plate, the torn blanket, and that window. Wait!!' Rashin tensed. Every muscle fiber squeezed and his eyes widened. Adrenaline came to life once more with the Noradrenaline.

Rashin gained full control over his consciousness, gritting his teeth. He looked as if he was frightened. He scanned and observed every and each detail in that misery room he got chained inside.

"Where... cough! Are... YOU?!" At that moment, his guard was never down. Rashin remembered why he died and how. That's why he was on the verge of losing his mind, and the intruder was the cause.

That intruder not only did he make Rashin break his limits, but he also was the reason behind Rashin unlocking a new aspect that he could use in the future.

The Adrenaline and his advanced brother.

Those two were about to grant the wish that Rashin thrived for, which was getting off his bed. Yet, he is still so far from achieving such a wish.

Once he made sure that everything was alright, Rashin immediately without thinking, shifted his gaze to the door of his room. It wasn't locked like before. It was slightly open!

Step! Step! Step!

'H-Huh?!' Hearing the footsteps of the intruder, his elbows acted instantly and rushed to support his weight. Rashin had to get up now. This time he has to get up or else... He is doomed!

His veins and his muscles were on fire, both ready to assist his fragile body as much as they could.

Fortunately, his preparations were all in vain as he realized that the intruder was now descending the staircase. The intruder was leaving.

'My death has come at such a perfect time.' Rashin let out a long sigh of relief. No one can blame him. The situation of being killed by the hands of an intruder while being held captive by the curse of the fallen corpse was never a joke.

Eventually, he relaxed his body and stayed cautious in case the intruder changes his mind and comes back again. Rashin still wanted to make sure that that bastard had left once and for all.

Close!

Rashin heard the main door getting closed which was the one the floor below. Now, He finally gets to relax without anything disturbing his peace. Even it wasn't peace to begin with. He was safe... just for now, at least.

'I have to get stronger fast.' Indeed, he was totally right. He was in no place to defend himself. Even when he finally gets on his feet, without any doubt, he would fall immediately after. That's why that death he had suffered was the best thing that happened to him.

It saved his life, because if he really got to be on his feet in front of the intruder, one fragile punch was enough to send him dead on the ground.

'That death... saved me miraculously.'

He then decided to skim through the main relics to see what would he do to level up and gain more SP faster.

[Deaths: 271]

' Two hundred and fifty one deaths. What a number!' well, the number of deaths he accumulated was really impressive, but that was just the beginning. The trial of death has so many more content to offer for Rashin... Uh, I mean the Fallen Corpse.

Rashin relaxed and that only means that he will go through everything that happened to him a couple of minutes earlier.

'first things first...' His eyes narrowed. Rashin pulled a stance that was only written on his face, hinting at the initial of deep thinking within his subconscious domain.

'How didn't I die?! HOW DIDN'T I DIE?!!!' Logic. He used to accumulate deaths and achieve death milestones and ascend in the death phases only because of his self-slaughter. He raises his arm, delivers a blow through the air and bingo, he dies.

But at that moment before the intruder rushes into his house that turned to be consisted of two floors, he punched and didn't die. Even with all of that blood he spilled, and all the unbearable pain he felt... He still didn't die. How?

'Even with 4 hours of continuous psychics and I still can't figure it out. Good job, Curse of the fallen corpse.' Those 4 hours of psychics had granted him over 50 SP at one push, But that's nothing compared to million and Rashin knew too well that they were nothing.

He let out a sigh and rubbed... Well, he wanted to rub his face because of all of that blood that was scattered not only on his paled face, but all around him form all directions. If the blanket he was covered was able to speak...

'Ah, shit! I don't want to imagine that.'

Rashin continued recalling what happened and reached to when the intruder started opening the door on the first floor. Goosebumps found its way through his skin, crawling to every skin tissue that the Fallen Corpse had.

Only remembering what happened made Rashin feel that he was still living that moment.

'I... I will surely make you feel the same.' Only time separates Rashin from transforming his words into action, but now, all he had to was to gain more SP.

'Shit! SHIT!' Rashin remembered what was the reason that made him on the verge of death but not dying too. It was the fact that he didn't want Strength to be left behind by Psychic, because he got so many SP in Psychic compared to Strength.

'How would I train Strength now?! HOW?!!' He was desperate to find a solution to that problem or else... Strength will be left behind forever.

"Sighs! Status..." In the end, he decided to open the status and take a look at the relics of his beloved trial of death.

[Main Quest: Reach 0 SP!]

[Current SP: -999,919.99 SP]

Strength: 2.19 ( 19 SP)

He only stared at the Strength relic with a heartbreak. Sorrow filled his face, his dark haloes shined with gloom and sadness. His first relic that he started powering with SP has been devoured by the cruel reality that curses everything, even himself.

He scanned through the rest of the relics until he stopped by one relic that made a new neuron to be born within his corrupted mind. He found a way to counter!

Weapons: [Cloth Gauntlet]

"Hehehehe... Cough! Cough! Hahahahahahahaha!" Rashin laughed like a maniac... Well, he is. What would the Cloth Gauntlet do to bring back life to the Strength relic?

'I'm sorry, Cloth Gauntlet. You are really a Huge Reward indeed.'
