With the door clicking open, I entered my new room, and oh was I blown away, everything in the room is a blend of technology and luxury whether the living room with all the luxurious furniture and an exclusive hologram projector, the kitchen, the bedroom, the bathroom and even a balcony featuring the academy's view, at least as far as I can see.
"I could get used to this" I muttered.
It was massive overall, making me question how the dorms of the top ten would be.
A few minutes after I had settled on my couch I heard the doorbell of my room ringing and a robotic voice.
"Nebula Academy, year 1 batch 5,006, rank 178 Adam walker!! Here are your belongings".
I opened the door only to see the retreating back of the bot.
My stuff was only a suitcase which I dragged into my room. It only had some of my clothes in it. There was literally nothing important in there.
Now all I needed was a shower and some good rest. The healing potion was already working it's magic as I felt most of the pain from my side subside.
Before entering the bathroom. I opened a feature on my smart bracelet and ordered some food for about 6 points and a few minutes later a drone arrived by the balcony with my food. The food was steak and fries. It might as well have tasted normal to anyone else, but to me who hasn't eaten anything since earlier in the morning and hasn't had steak in like forever, it tasted heavenly.
After a nice and relaxing bath, I decided to go to sleep since it was already 10pm. The entrance test had lasted for thirteen hours after all. from 8am to 9pm. I set up an alarm for 5am and crashed into my soft mattress.
The next morning, my alarm rang at exactly 5am. I groggily woke up, washed my face and put on a Tshirt and sweatpants and went out to warm up a bit. I walked out of my room and towards the elevator. When I got to the ground floor, the entire place was devoid of people, well granted it was 5am.
I jogged thirty laps around the three dorm buildings at a leisure pace and by the time I finished, it was already 6am and other cadets had started to come outside, so I called it a day and decided to head back to my dorm room.
Just as I was about to enter my room, a voice sounded behind me. "Hi, so you're the rank 178, nice to meet you, I'm Levi Stone, rank 177". I turned back to sea a red head guy with a wry smile on his face. I remained silent for a while before I replied "Nice to meet you too, I'm Adam Walker, I'm rank 178 but you seem to know that already".
"Nice to have someone else on this floor who's not a noble. Apparently, those rank 179 and 180" he said gesturing to both rooms, "they're superior and we the commoners, are inferior".
Hearing this an amused thought came to me and I asked "and how sure are you I'm not one of those superior beings?". "He remained silent for a while before saying "first your eyes, they didn't look down on anything, your gait and also how you presented yourself, it's not how nobles present themselves" he said matter of factly.
"Anyway nice to meet you, just wanted to get acquainted with my floor mates. I met the other two but they weren't exactly as welcoming" he said as he turned towards the elevator.
After he left, I turned back and entered my dorm room. I headed straight for the showers, In the last two years, I have come to realize that I was a clean freak. After showering and getting rid of all my impurities, i decided to study the academy's handbook. It took me no more than half an hour to skim through it.
And to be honest, I was surprised, there wasn't anything remotely restricting in there, except for the rules of not going into restricted areas, fighting in certain places, killing someone, everything else goes, even maiming, nothing healing potions can not cure.
Which brought me to a strating realization, the academy was not a playground, the academy is not averse to violence, instead it condones it. Which means, I'll have to be careful around others, and keep a low profile. Not that I'm capable of being high profile to begin with.
After all I had come to realize my bloodline, gravity manipulation had a lot of potential. While others who's bloodlines are related to gravity might just have gotten a bloodline that lets them increase gravity, or null gravity, I got the full package.
From increasing, to reducing, to nulling, to attracting and repulsive forces, I gained the full package and the possibilities were endless. It's why I named it gravity manipulation, after all that's what it is, it allows me to manipulate the forces of gravity.
Two days passed in the blink of an eye, and it was morning of the first class. I woke up by 5am as usual and went for my morning jogs, after I was done, I came back and freshened up. Classes were scheduled to start by 8am, and by the time I finished freshening up it was half an hour to 7am.
I headed to the mini closet fixed to the bathroom, there on the hanger were three body suits. They were dark grey in color with golden accents and the symbol of the academy on the chest, with a single star on the left chest. That was the academy's first year uniform. The single star indicated first year. I had tried them on before, and the fit to accommodate the wearer, had temperature regulation, self cleaning and repair, plus they looked extremely cool.
I picked one off the hanger and wore it. I stretched as it fit to my size. It felt like I was in a protective cocoon, but a very comfortable one. On the side of the hanger were three pairs soles. I picked a pair and placed both of my feets onto the pair. The soles underwent a massive change and turned into black shoes with golden accents that connected with the ends of the bodysuit at my ankles.
The suit reached all the way to my neck. Now the only places left uncovered on my body, were my head and face, then my fingers and palms. I then checked for any inconveniences but found nine. With that I was ready, I got out of my room and headed for the ground floor.
Oh and did I forget to mention, that this academy was massive? Apparently we have to take a portal to our classes from the dorms. When I got to the portal station, there were already numerous cadets. I waited for my turn and paid the price which was 5 points. I entered the portal and arrived at the other side.
Even before I could get out of the portal station, I could see an enormous building, from the outside, one couldn't tell how many stories it was, but at most, It couldn't be more than five stories tall. What made it enormous was the amount of land area it acquired.
Honestly, I couldn't even see it's ends. I walked following other cadets and soon arrived inside the massive building. I checked my information on my smart bracelet.
Cadet info:
-Name: Adam Walker
-Age: 16
-Bloodline Rank: Three stars, Rank 4
-Academy Rank: Rank 178
-Class: Special class
-Homeroom: 1-Alpha
************
That was my cadet information, and I was looking for homeroom, so I started checking for 1-Alpha. I followed the map inbuilt in our bracelets. I asked it for directions, and it directed me. After almost getting lost in the hallways, I finally found it. It was on the first floor.
With a deep breath, I pushed open the double doors and entered the class. The class was more like an auditorium than a class. The seats were arranged from the front to the back in ascending order. But then I realized I came too early, after all it was only two minutes after 7am.
Currently there were only two people in the class, one was me, and the other was that girl who gave me dangerous vibes before the vice principal's speech. And right now, she was staring at me, I couldn't move even a finger, the pressure from those swirling amethyst orbs was overwhelming. Perhaps she realized I was being uncomfortable, she averted her eyes. Instantly the pressure vanished.
I held my breath as I walked up the stairs to the back row and sat down, before I heaved a sigh of relief. 'Dangerous, just like I thought'. Then I decided to rest my head a little before the other cadets and the instructor arrive.
Some time later, I felt a wave blast past me, waking me up from my sleep. I raised up my head from the table to see a bunch of eyes on me, 'It seems that I might have slept a little bit more than I intended' I thought.
