"Come on, let's just eat first." I say, rubbing my belly as I look at Vier, who was heading towards his desk after the meeting, the meeting went by a few hours, with how the members were struggling to finalize.
"Let me put these on desk." Vier says, walking to his desk, without looking at me.
"But we can discuss over lunch, no?" I mumble, following after him.
Vier chuckles. "Sure, we can, we don't need all these."
I nod, waiting for him to return, and I look around. Some smiled as my eyes met, and I smiled back, bowing my head.
While a few went back to mumbling, looking away.
"Vier?" I mumble, looking back at him.
He looks up from his desk, standing up as he walks to me with a frown.
"Hmm?"
"It just…feels so weird. What is going on?" I ask, turning around as we walk to the cafeteria, side by side.
Vier looks around, noticing others as he sighs, looking back at me.
"You know, they are just gossiping. Ignore them." He says, smiling a little.
"I know that…but it feels like I am the topic headline. Everyone is looking at me." I chuckle, shrugging.
"I told you last time, you already are the hot headline." He chuckles, nudging me, and I gasp. "Also, it was quite weird, not being gossiped about when you stay involved with the boss and the secretary." He adds, shaking his head with a grin.
"Heh, they have no jams!" I huff. He looks at me weirdly, "I mean, no life.. Haha." I purse my lips as we walk inside, "Oh, it smells good." I grin, rushing towards the line. Vier catches up, giggling.
"You are such a kid, you know that?"
I look at him, tilting my head, "What? I am just happy to eat."
He nods, making a playful face, and stands behind me. As we progress ahead, I turn around, facing him. "Anyways, what are they talking about?"
"You really want to know?" I tilt my head. Why was he being so conscious of?
Not like, I care, but I am just so curious.
And I nod.
I watch him sigh, "Just…the day you fainted." He shrugs.
I frown, the day I fainted? Why?
Why is everyone gossiping about that? It's not a thing to gossip about!
"Huh?"
"Sie, you…I heard too. Like how Mr. Riverford brought you out to lobby." He looks at me, I step a few steps ahead as I keep my attention towards him, "So? Is that thing to be gossiped about?"
Vier chuckles at my comment, shaking his head no. "Not that but…you ran out."
Huh?
"I mean, you ran out…all of a sudden, after going out cold." he adds. I frown.
I did what? I don't remember doing that.
Huh, what is this?
"I ran?" I question, frowning.
"Sie, move." Vier mumbles, I blink my eyes and walk ahead, approaching the counter, but still I wasn't done, "Elaborate."
He shrugs, "I didn't see that happen, so I don't know the details."
"Still, what did you hear?"
"Um, that…you were acting kinda weird. Don't you remember? You running out?" He questions me, I shake my head no. Looking ahead, I grab the plate, slowly serving myself as I grow lost in thought.
Did I really do that?
But why don't I remember any of this?
Then, I remember… them asking me if I remember anything.
Just what did I do?
"That's not so big of a deal. You were in pain, they shouldn't be gossiping about this." Vier says, I smile a little as we silently serve ourselves, but my mind was a total chaos.
Should I go see them?
Ask…what happened?
I shake my head, "You okay?" I flinch, realizing I was being vocal with my movements, I look at him and nod, "Yup." I walk towards a table, and as I sit down.
Rather focus on food, not on what others think.
I might remember it eventually.
"You shouldn't mind them, Sie." He starts, I nod. "I am not worried, Vier." I chuckle, "Also, I was sick, I don't remember much."
He nods his head, smiling.
"So, I think we should handle the selection procedure by this week. The application is open for registration." He starts, I nod. "Are we taking in males too? Or, just females?" I ask, curious.
"Both."
I nod, eating.
"Hmm, that's better."
"This Wednesday. I think we will have lots of applicants by then." Vier starts, "What about location?" I mumble.
"The planning team is preparing it right now. We just have to overlook everything and finalize. Also, the graphics team will be working on an ad base." Vier says, thinking out loud, "I think a little animation might be better, no?" I mumble.
"We can manage, let's first focus on drafting." Vier says, I nod.
"I am too excited, I shouldn't be this hyped, no?" I chuckle, "Maybe because it's my first time." I add.
Vier grins, "It's a good thing, being all excited means you love this job."
I smile, "Maybe?"
As we were eating, I felt someone sitting before me, "Vier! I was looking for you." I look ahead, seeing Amelia, she looks at me, "Oh, hi. Miss. Damaris." She greets me. I nod, "Hello. Miss. Smith."
Vier looks at her, "Looking for me?"
She nods, "Yeah. Boss rang your desk, I picked up."
I frown, Luthien…
"Why?"
Amelia chuckles, "He just wanted to know the updates. He wishes to see you." She looks towards the counter, "I think I should get myself a plate too. Smells good." She stands up, walking towards the line.
I look at him, "I got called." He mumbles, eating in a rush.
I chuckle, I wish… I was called too.
I shake my thoughts off, focusing on my plate, my appetite slowly draining…why is this making me disappointed?
Ugh.
Vier stands up, grabbing his plate. "I will see you later, Sie."
I nod, waving him bye with a thumbs up. He nods back, chuckling, and walks off.
I look at the plate, sighing as I pick it up, placing it in the bucket,
up ahead.
I want to see-
No.
I smack my head, don't…
I am not a simp!
