Starting today, Lind planned to personally oversee his subordinates' training. He needed to strengthen their combat power as quickly as possible.
Only when they became strong enough could Lind feel at ease and focus on "farming."
As he contemplated the training plan, he walked toward the conference hall next to the training grounds.
"Axel, Liana, Calvin, Rex, Allison—come to the conference hall. We need to discuss the next phase of the crew's training."
Without interrupting the ongoing training, Lind used his telekinetic abilities to summon his five key officers.
Soon, as Lind stepped into the conference hall, the five of them arrived as well.
In the world of One Piece, humans were generally tall, though figures like Whitebeard and Charlotte Linlin were exceptions.
Lind's five officers were all within a similar height range, between 1.9 meters (6'3") and 2.6 meters (8'6").
Among them, Axel was the shortest, standing at 1.9 meters (6'3")—the same height as Admiral Kizaru. He looked rather sly and shifty but was the strongest of the five. In that batch of pirates, only the Yurei tribe member named Leo surpassed him in power.
Axel was a former gangster who wielded two wave shaped swords, having slashed his way from the West Blue to the New World using a chaotic, street-fighter-style swordsmanship. He had built up a 90-million bounty, which, in this era where the value of Berries hadn't depreciated, made him stronger than most future Supernovas.
Although he was already 30 years old, Lind believed that, under his guidance, Axel still had great potential to grow into a formidable force.
Liana was the user of the Black Cat Fruit, standing at 2 meters (6'7"), the same height as Lind. She was a stunningly beautiful female pirate with a fiery figure.
Her long, wavy black hair made Lind rethink his previous comparison to Black Cat Detective—it was more fitting to say she resembled Rui Kisugi, the eldest sister from the Cat's Eye trio. (Old 80's anime)
Lind did wonder if she'd still look as charming when she aged. After all, this world wasn't particularly kind to older women.
Liana was the only sniper among the five officers, and her close-combat skills were also impressive. With an 80-million bounty, she ranked just below Axel in overall strength.
At 23 years old, she had plenty of room for growth, though the fact that she had already consumed a standard Zoan Devil Fruit might limit her future potential.
Calvin stood at 2.1 meters (6'11"), with a rugged and disciplined demeanor, resembling someone with a military background.
He came from Hana no Kuni (Land of Flowers) in the West Blue and specialized in hand-to-hand combat. He had excelled during the selection process thanks to his strong Armament Haki and his mastery of the Five Extremes Fist (Go-kyoku Ken).
Lind speculated that Calvin might have once been part of the Navy, though it was unclear why he had chosen to join the Rocks Pirates.
At just 21 years old, he was the youngest among the five, with a bounty of 60 million, and he hadn't eaten a Devil Fruit yet—making him the most promising of the group.
The remaining two, Rex and Allison, were both 30 years old, like Axel.
Rex was the tallest, towering at 2.6 meters (8'6"). His entire body was packed with terrifying muscles, and he was a hand-to-hand combat specialist with a 70-million bounty.
Allison, standing at 1.9 meters (6'3"), had an elegant presence with her short hair. She was a swordswoman who also had medical knowledge.
She had been a ship doctor before, but after accidentally treating her captain to death, she had joined the Rocks Pirates and eventually came under Lind's command.
Her bounty was 56 million, making her a formidable female pirate.
Lind looked at the five officers before him, feeling immensely satisfied. Each one of them was a valuable asset—they would be the foundation of his future empire.
"Let's start by discussing this past month's training progress," Lind said after they were all seated.
"Yes, Boss," Axel responded.
"Currently, our squad consists of 92 members, excluding the five of us."
"Thanks to the training methods and equipment you designed, all 92 members have mastered Armament Haki, and over 50 have awakened Observation Haki!"
"At this point, the combat strength of the Seventh Division has already reached the core elite level of the Rocks Pirates' various divisions!"
"I believe that in another month, when the Seventh Division sets sail, we'll be able to overwhelm most pirate crews and even naval forces!"
Despite resembling Kizaru, Axel was nothing like the Admiral when it came to work ethic. He was diligent, handled all affairs efficiently, and, most importantly, was strong.
Among the five officers, Axel was the most trusted and reliable.
The other four also respected him, so it was natural for him to handle progress reports.
"Excellent," Lind nodded in satisfaction. "You've all done very well this past month—right in line with my expectations.
"Starting next month, I'll be personally overseeing the training!"
"Your own strengths are still lacking as well, so you'll need to focus on improvement too!"
"Here—I found these on a remote island. I call them Dragon Bananas. Eating them enhances your physical abilities!"
"If you use these Dragon Bananas in combination with physical training, your strength will skyrocket in the next month!"
Lind used his telekinesis to open a large crate filled with Dragon Bananas.
These were the ones he had collected before leaving the island. Though he had used special resin for preservation, they were reaching their expiration limit.
Since his own physical constitution was already exceptional, the Dragon Bananas' effects had weakened for him. He only ate them occasionally as a snack.
Now, seeing that his stockpile was about to spoil, he figured it was better to use them to strengthen his subordinates.
The same applied to other exotic fruits—many of them wouldn't last much longer. Instead of letting them rot, he planned to distribute them, dry them into fruit preserves, or can them for storage.
Additionally, he intended to revisit the remote island soon to harvest the Divine Dragon Coconuts.
After all, his special fruits wouldn't stay a secret forever. He needed to establish a credible "source"—if he brought his crew there, they would see it as a gift from nature rather than Lind's special ability.
As for the Divine Dragon Coconuts, they were too powerful. Lind didn't know if others could reach his level of strength using them, but he wasn't willing to take the risk.
Until he was strong enough, the Divine Dragon Coconuts would remain a secret—known only to him and the Great Kun.
Lind noticed his officers' skeptical expressions and added:
"The sea is vast—you never know what kinds of treasures are out there. Even Sea King meat can enhance physical strength, right?"
"Just try them—you'll see the effects for yourselves. I have plenty more in my room, enough to help you all reach new heights!"
Hearing Lind's reassurance, the five officers no longer doubted him and instead expressed their gratitude enthusiastically:
"Thank you, Boss! We'll train harder and grow stronger to make the Seventh Division famous!"
"Captain is mighty! Captain is the greatest! Captain is invincible!"
"Long live Boss! May he rule all four seas!"
