Chapter 5 - The Conquest Begins

The quiet days of the Scarlet Moon Sect were over. What had once been a peaceful sanctuary of cultivation now pulsed with the bloodthirsty energy of an empire in the making. The disciples moved like shadows, efficient and silent, following the commands of their mighty leader, Souta Akihiro.

Souta stood at the peak of a mountain, overlooking the vast, sprawling land below. His golden eyes gleamed with a cold, calculating light. The world was his oyster, and he intended to crush all who stood in his way.

Ling Wei stood by his side, her expression a mix of admiration and unwavering loyalty. She had never seen him like this—so focused, so intent on achieving his goal. The power he wielded was unimaginable, and yet, even more than that, it was the sheer confidence with which he moved that made him invincible.

"Master," Ling Wei spoke softly, her voice laced with devotion. "When do we begin?"

Souta turned his gaze to her, a sly smile curling his lips. "We've already begun," he said. His eyes gleamed as they turned back to the horizon. "The first sect will fall in two days. It's time to show the world who the real ruler is."

Ling Wei felt a surge of excitement. She had seen the power Souta had, felt it firsthand, and now she was prepared to follow him to the ends of the earth. There was no stopping him, not now. And she would be with him every step of the way.

The days leading up to the first major confrontation were filled with preparations. Souta had commanded his disciples to prepare the best weapons, the most potent elixirs, and to train relentlessly. His influence over the sect had grown exponentially, and his disciples, once hesitant and unsure, were now fervent believers in his cause.

The world had heard rumors of the Scarlet Moon Sect's rise, but few dared to believe the tales of a man who could ascend realms with a single thought. No one could fathom that the sect, once a small and inconspicuous group, would now be a force that could rival entire kingdoms.

Two days later, the Scarlet Moon Sect gathered at the edge of a vast, desolate desert. In the distance, the towering spires of the Azure Sky Sect could be seen, their white marble buildings gleaming in the light of the twin suns. The Azure Sky Sect was known for its unparalleled strength in the sky, its disciples mastering the art of flight and divine wind manipulation.

But all of that meant nothing to Souta.

He stood at the front of his disciples, his hands clasped behind his back, his golden eyes narrowing as he surveyed the distant sect. His aura was so overwhelming that the very ground beneath him trembled.

"Are you ready?" Souta's voice was low but filled with power.

"Yes, Master," Ling Wei responded, her voice steady as ever. She could feel the heat of his power rising, pushing against the very fabric of reality itself. "We will follow your lead."

Souta chuckled. "Good. I want them to feel the full weight of my power. Let them know that this is no mere challenge. This is the beginning of the end."

The air around them shifted, and a brilliant flash of light erupted from Souta's body. His cultivation surged, and the world seemed to bend to his will. The disciples behind him watched in awe as his aura expanded outward, enveloping the entire desert, shaking the heavens themselves.

Ling Wei's heart raced as she watched Souta's display of power. She had never seen anything like it. He was truly a force of nature, capable of shaping the world with a single thought. It was a terrifying, intoxicating power that left her feeling both in awe and deeply enamored.

As the final preparations were made, the Scarlet Moon Sect began its march toward the Azure Sky Sect. The disciples followed Souta, their faces filled with determination. There was no hesitation now. They had seen what he could do, and they were ready to fight for him—fight to see his vision come to life.

The journey took only a few hours, but the atmosphere was thick with anticipation. The disciples whispered among themselves, some excited, others fearful. They all knew this battle would be unlike any other. They would face the Azure Sky Sect, a sect known for its flying cultivators and mastery over wind. But even with that knowledge, no one questioned Souta's decision. He was the one who would lead them to victory.

As they reached the gates of the Azure Sky Sect, the sky darkened. The very air seemed to hum with the buildup of spiritual energy. A group of disciples from the Azure Sky Sect appeared, their robes fluttering in the wind. They stood tall, their expressions cold as they surveyed the incoming army.

Souta stepped forward, his golden eyes gleaming with arrogance. "This is your last warning," he called out, his voice carrying effortlessly across the distance. "Step aside, and I may spare your lives. Stand in my way, and you will be crushed."

The disciples of the Azure Sky Sect exchanged uneasy glances. They had heard of the Scarlet Moon Sect's rise, but they had not expected such a bold declaration. One of the older disciples, a man with a long, flowing beard, stepped forward. His eyes were filled with disdain.

"You dare challenge the Azure Sky Sect?" he scoffed. "Do you even know who you are speaking to?"

Souta's lips curled into a wicked smile. "I know exactly who you are. And I know that none of you can stand against me."

With a single flick of his fingers, a shockwave of energy erupted from his body, sending the disciples of the Azure Sky Sect flying backward. The force was so overwhelming that the very earth beneath them cracked and split. Dust and debris flew into the air, and the disciples of the Azure Sky Sect scrambled to regain their footing.

"Do you feel that?" Souta's voice was like thunder. "That is the weight of my power. And now, you will all bow to me."

Ling Wei watched, her heart pounding with excitement. Souta's power was unstoppable. There was no doubt in her mind that they were about to crush the Azure Sky Sect underfoot. The disciples of the Azure Sky Sect were powerless against him.

The battle was about to begin. And Souta would show the world just how powerful he had become.

The disciples of the Azure Sky Sect began to gather themselves, their eyes now filled with fear. But it was too late. The storm had already begun, and Souta was at its eye.

Souta took another step forward, his aura rising higher. The disciples behind him followed suit, ready to engage in battle.

With a flick of his wrist, Souta unleashed a burst of energy that sent ripples through the sky. His cultivation surged once again, and a massive explosion erupted in the distance. The very sky seemed to split open as the force of his attack shook the heavens.

The disciples of the Azure Sky Sect screamed in terror as the shockwave hit them. They were thrown from their feet, unable to resist the overwhelming force. Many of them were knocked unconscious, while others were flung far from the battle.

And that was just the beginning.

Souta smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "This is only the beginning, my dear disciples. We will show them what it truly means to challenge me."

The Scarlet Moon Sect had come to conquer, and no force in this world would be able to stop them.
