The shadow bird nodded and gave a sharp, affirmative chirp before launching itself into the air. With a fluid grace, it soared out the window as it set off to follow Xiao Li.
Xiao Wei commanded the bird to follow Xiao Li, because Xiao Wei as the master of the Shadow Soldiers possesses the ability to see and hear the same things that his Shadow Soldiers see and hear. And he is aware that Xiao Li would seek out Xiao Yen and inform him about the incident in which he struck him and stole his pill.
