Dawn stares at the crowd of people, cheering and celebrating something, however Dawn was not able to see because of the crowd in the way. They decide to push through the crowd and see what's happening, and once they reach the front, what they see is two men fighting, beating each other with stones. Their raggedy clothes and malnourished appearance suggested that they were slaves, they were Gladiators.
Gladiators are enslaved people that come from all sorts of races, imprisoned and then enslaved for their crimes, they would be shipped off to whoever bought them for the most money for many different reasons, the #1 reason why is for manual labor, after that it is for entertainment, whether it's for thrill or ecstasy.
Dawn: "Wh-what the fuck.. why are people celebrating? They're going to kill each other!"
Dawn could not believe their eyes, they felt nauseous from seeing such brutality. Although Dawn had killed many, their powers had always left nothing, not even bones would remain, this allowed them to not see the destruction their power caused to another human being, and the times he did see it he either did not pay attention to it or had forcefully forgotten it.
Seeing a man bash another man's skull in, it gave Dawn flashbacks of the counter attack done by the imperials. Eventually the man's skull completely caved in, killing him.
The moment Dawn heard the crush of the man's skull, they zoned out, their hands shaking slightly. They felt sick to their stomach, internally they repeated,
Dawn: "I feel sick.. I feel sick.."
Dawn pushed their way out of the cheering crowd, they could not understand why they were cheering. Eventually, all the cheering had stopped, not because the people disbursed, but because Dawn had tuned them out. They head into a small alleyway, where their figure would proceed to fade as they got deeper and deeper into it.
