Chapter 3 - First Class

After enduring the torture of the lecture, the protagonist collapsed to his knees, his spirit nearly broken. But then, like the gates of heaven opening, the entrance door swung wide. Hope surged within him, a vision of escape playing in his mind as his drained life force began to recover. However, just as he was about to step into his newfound freedom, a tidal wave of students crushed him underfoot, trampling him like an insignificant ant. To his horror, some of them even seemed to be smiling as they stomped on him, as if enjoying his suffering. Carried helplessly by the flood of bodies, he was forcefully ejected from the torture chamber—only to slam straight into a girl.

As his dazed eyes adjusted, he realized she was one of the notorious women he had ranked as the second most dangerous person in the hall. Without hesitation, he yanked his bag up to cover his face and bolted away. The girl, momentarily stunned, blinked in confusion before her friend scoffed, "What was that rude guy's deal?"

On the other side of the hallway, after narrowly escaping his eternal enemy, the protagonist stumbled into a classroom. Recalling the information he had seen on his phone back in the bathroom, he concluded that leaving the school through official channels was impossible. The real owner of this body had been forced into this institution by his family's higher-ups, who sought to mold him into a successful young man. If the authorities found out he was an imposter, they might confiscate his phone—or worse.

Remembering his bag, he shook it curiously and felt a liquid sloshing inside. Before he could investigate further, he noticed other students entering the classroom. Their sharp gazes scanned him like he was some questionable actress in an infamous magazine. Unnerved, he hurried inside and took a seat in the darkest, most inconspicuous corner available. As he rummaged through his bag, he pulled out a bottle of black liquid with a sticker that read, "Mama loves you."

"Mom's giving me juice?" he muttered to himself before taking a sip—only to gag violently. It was bitter medicine! He barely managed to keep it down, cursing under his breath. "As expected of a drama queen mother, she really knows how to trick her son."

Somewhere in a high-rise building, a famous philanthropist suddenly sneezed, then chuckled. "Maybe my son is thinking about me. Time to make some more bucks." With that, she left her office with renewed vigor.

Back in the classroom, the protagonist observed Ayanokoji, who sat three seats away. The guy was staring out of the window with a depth of thought so intense it made the protagonist's brain ache just trying to comprehend it. His deadpan expression, the sheer focus in his eyes—it was too much.

"Stop torturing me with your sheer power of thought," the protagonist groaned. He got up mid-conversation while Hirata was introducing himself, walked over to Ayanokoji, and silently placed the medicine bottle in front of him. Then, without waiting for a response, he slumped back into his seat, dramatically gasping for air like a fish out of water.

Ayanokoji, momentarily taken aback, glanced at the bottle. A strong medicinal scent wafted from it. He immediately recognized it as something bitter. He wanted to question the idiot who had just shoved it at him, but upon seeing the entire class watching him, he merely shot a deadpan look at the protagonist before silently placing the bottle in his bag and resuming his usual blank stare.

After this bizarre exchange, the class continued their introductions. Various students, including those with vibrantly dyed hair, spoke one after another. Meanwhile, a certain arrogant boy lounged at his desk with his feet propped up, exuding an air of self-importance.

Then, Kushida stepped forward with a radiant smile, eagerly proclaiming her desire to befriend everyone. The protagonist, who had just barely managed to relax, instantly bolted upright. With the speed of a seasoned soldier avoiding a landmine, he shrank into the shadows of his desk, attempting to make himself as small and unnoticeable as possible. But just as he was congratulating himself on his stealth, the girl sitting beside him turned to look at him. Her gaze sent shivers down his spine.

"Hey, you! Never seen a guy hiding before? Why are you staring like a fool?" he thought bitterly.

As the introductions continued, Ayanokoji finally spoke up. His introduction was... lackluster, to say the least. Just his name and nothing more. The protagonist, who had been bracing himself for some profound monologue, nearly exploded.

"You were thinking so deeply this entire time—so deeply that my brain nearly exploded—and this is all you come up with?! You're a disgrace to the heritage of legendary protagonists!"

Meanwhile, Horikita observed the entire class with an air of judgment, mentally classifying everyone as fools—except for Ayanokoji. But, as the protagonist muttered to himself, "This girl is just biased."

Then, the red-haired boy, basking in his arrogance, made a bold statement, interrupting the introductions. Before anyone could process the moment, their homeroom teacher, Chabashira-sensei, entered with the grace of an elite executive stepping into a high-stakes business meeting.

She began her explanation of the school's unique system, but the protagonist—who had recovered from his previous suffering—found himself momentarily distracted. His gaze wandered somewhere inappropriate, and before he could stop himself, a nosebleed threatened to betray his presence. Immediately, he retreated into his corner, internally screaming at himself to focus.

The teacher continued, explaining how the school functioned as a self-sustaining city, where everything could be bought with digital currency loaded onto their devices. Hearing this, the protagonist panicked.

"Wait... my phone?! Or is it something else?" he wondered, seeing others use devices with smart animations.

Frantically rummaging through his bag again, he found the device and followed the teacher's instructions. When he saw the balance—100,000 points—his soul ascended. Tears welled in his eyes as he melodramatically recalled past struggles, comparing them to absurdly exaggerated hardships like eating grass instead of noodles.

Then, realization struck. The students around him were also celebrating.

"Wait, everyone's happy? Then it's not just me..."

Then, he heard the bizarre words: "On the first day of every month, your points will be replenished. You can buy anything with these points."

He tuned out the rest. Why waste time managing funds? Why not just... steal?

"Why plan expenses when a nighttime robbery is an option?" he thought, recalling a famous quote from a legendary Chinese criminal: "A person is not a criminal until proven a criminal."

Meanwhile, in China, the skeleton of said "legendary criminal" burst out of his grave, roaring, "You dumbass! I never said that!"
