Chapter 5 - Arise!

The story begins in a region, blessed with the spark light of the Liberation Tree.

A region carving a history—where the behemoth that influenced all lives, grows.

Nodalland, O mighty land, where the brilliance and brightness of their citizens can be felt.

But this day, they are accursed by the rise of someone—

A someone who will deliver falsehood to the Libertians.

Ah... let the tale begin!

Nodalland is now struck by an unsettled storm.

Winds carving into each building, neon lights flickering with every lightning strike.

The aroma of rain can be felt. The sensation—so magnificent—reminds us of our childhood.

In the place around Mt. Undrian, many trees had fallen to each strike of the ferocious winds, while many others withstood its strength.

The soil was tarnished by the waters from above, leaves blown violently by the raging gusts—creating a messy, chaotic scene.

Until...

An ashen hand reached out from the dirt, attempting to rise—with belief to deliver a new divinity to the Libertians.

The creature—a worm-like being, I think—had fully emerged.

He clenched his hands, his gaze fixed on the baleful storm.

Magically, the horrendous storm disappeared—even those who lived in the city would be puzzled.

The creature stood bravely, his eyes scanning the surroundings.

A slight smile crept across his face, he chuckled, and then said:

"Ah... so much agony and misery, I see. The world is too clinging to its goddess, and now has fallen into a real fracture,"

"While the rulers feast and dance with their wondrous wives, many struggle even to feed,"

"They shall recall it, those who are humbled by their own rulers..."

"Now, I hereby vow, the Celestial Veneration has arisen!"

He let out a dark snicker upon the declaration. He was so daring—

Until he realized... he had no clothes.

"Holy Something Grand!... Whither mine clothes hath goeth!?"

He flushed upon seeing his bare body, feeling both puzzled and deeply embarrassed.

So flustered, even his fingers trembled—along with the rest of his body.

"I must finden mineself an apparel, to cover all this..."

The creature declared, then slowly began heading toward the nearest city in Nodalland.

He used his worm-like tail to walk—until he realized he hadn't made any progress; he was far too slow.

"A ghastly first day for me..."

He muttered, while attempting once more to slither toward the city.

His tail made everything difficult, as if it had been blessed with a curse.

While he was still struggling to make a move,

Let us see Hylena once more, shall we?

Hylena lay down on his bed, forgetting all the misery he had borne.

He mumbled to himself, whispering nonsense—dreaming about the return of Goddess Vita.

It was, quite literally, nonsense.

As his ramble continued within the dream, he suddenly awoke—with an aghast expression.

He felt as though he had fallen into a valley...

The most baleful sensation for anyone.

"Holy Vita... I think I am going to die... What a nightmare..."

Hylena then lay back on his bed,

but soon his stomach growled—ferociously.

He realized he hadn't eaten for a whole day.

With a weary sigh, he stood from the bed and prepared to search for food…

thus beginning yet another nightmare.

He stepped out from his dirty home,

heading toward the streets and the familiar trash cans.

One by one, he opened them—just like in his ordinary days.

But then, something caught his attention—

a weight in his pocket.

Reaching in, he discovered a small remainder of money…

a gift once given by Ellis.

Grasping onto that small hope,

he made his way to a nearby store to buy some food,

though he was occasionally kicked and scorned for being a scavenger.

Eventually, he arrived back home.

He sat down peacefully,

and began to eat the delicious, exquisite food he had bought.

"Yummy!... Sophia and Charles, if you were here, we could eat together… but fate separated us."

Hylena muttered in a tinge of sorrow,

his voice dipped with guilt—

though he tried to forget it all,

the past kept hunting him down.

No matter what path he chose,

he was still a scoundrel in the world's eyes.
