Chapter 335 - The Nameless Hero

Reality bending warps the material world—yet its essence is psychic.

Mind over matter.

A seemingly idealistic concept, but an irrefutable truth.

Every reality bender's power stems from belief and faith.

Some believe in the possibility of a phenomenon; others worship deified forces. From these, reality benders are born.

Take Omega-12-C-001's "Thunder God" ability—a power crystallized from humanity's collective awe of storms and myths of lightning-wielders. Such beliefs coalesced into Anomaly-3480-2-19 "Zeus", a Tier-5 reality bender.

Why "Zeus" and not "Thor" or "Lei Gong"? Simple: he emerged from Anomaly-3480 Mount Olympus—Greece's legendary peak. Faith converges where myths are strongest.

Why Olympus?

Most global holy sites falter as faith hubs:

Jerusalem (Christianity/Islam/Judaism): Monotheism's "omnipotent God" requires Tier-6 devotion—Earth's population can't sustain that.

"Western Paradise" (Buddhism) / "Ninth Heaven" (Daoism): These "sites" don't physically exist.

Thus, Olympus, tangible and myth-drenched, became the prime belief conduit.

The Faith Equation

A reality bender's strength mirrors their ability's cultural penetration:

Niche powers (Jianjia's "Reeds," Byakugan, Inverse Distortion): Few believers → low-tier.

Elemental forces (fire, lightning, space): Universal awe → high-tier.

Savior archetype: Pan-religious faith → temporary godhood.

Luo Shu's Fleeting Divinity

During the apocalypse, Luo Shu—channeling "Great Sound Is Faint"—became the vessel for billions' desperate prayers.

Yet post-crisis, faith scattered.

Why?

He never declared, "I am Luo Shu—worship ME!" Survivors credited their own messiahs. Without a sustained claim, the devotion dissolved.

Luo Shu, guilt-ridden over the carnage (a byproduct of his war with "God"), let it go.

Hiding beneath Anomaly-100, he remained the nameless hero—his power receding to Tier-4.

No regrets.

Earth couldn't endure a Tier-5's sustained presence. History showed absolute power corrupts absolutely.

"God's" Meltdown

Cain's prophecy had come true:

Even a Keter-class meme failed to kill Luo Shu.

When the SMS anomaly vanished abruptly, "God" sat atop the Capitol's white dome, shell-shocked. Around him, D.C.'s elite lay dead in tailored suits—their minds shredded, their wealth now looted by the phone-less poor.

The great equalizer.

Past cycles followed a script:

Apocalypse → Truth-Seeker dies.

World resets via Anomaly-2000.

Clones repopulate; memories falsified.

Peace… until the next Truth-Seeker emerges.

But now?

Luo Shu survived. Rebooting the world was pointless—his untainted memory would persist.

"God" needed a new strategy.
