Chapter 115 - To Be Continued

Silencing MacDonald wasn't impossible.

Option 1: Kill him. Permanent solution.

Option 2: Use Mental Enslavement. Wasteful.

Luo Shu only had two enslavement charges—one spent on SCP-096.

The other? His last resort against the "God."

And recharging?

SCP-035 (The Possessive Mask) hated him, ruling out "Anomalous Friends."

Only containment breaches could restore the ability.

But after the near-XK incident, Site-19 had tightened SCP-035's security.

No openings anytime soon.

Killing MacDonald?

Too risky. His death would disable the perception filter—exposing Luo Shu.

Then—the desk phone caught his eye.

Idea.

He flipped to Page 30: SCP-100 ("Animated Machinery").

Activate.

The phone rang abruptly.

MacDonald, muscle memory kicking in, grabbed it: "MacDonald Law Office."

Luo Shu typed into his wrist terminal:

[I'M HERE. BETRAY ME, YOU DIE.]

The message converted to electronic speech through the phone.

MacDonald flinched, then played along:

"Director? Now? But I'm— Fine. On my way."

Hanging up, he marched past the "God" without a glance.

Bluff successful.

The "God," wary of the unseen threat, let him go.

Stalemate.

With no leverage, the "God" vanished via spatial jump.

Luo Shu's tracking showed 1 km per jump—his limit.

Conclusion: This war would be long.

The Interrogation

Once clear, Luo Shu grilled MacDonald:

"What did you tell him?"

"Nothing! I'm no snitch!" MacDonald lied poorly.

"Details. Now."

The truth:

The "God" had demanded intel on Luo Shu.

MacDonald played dumb, citing his D-Class recruitment amnesia.

Only Chaos's prophecy tied him to Luo Shu—classified intel.

The "God" escalated to torture.

Close call.

But now, the "God" knew MacDonald was a lead.

Next time? He might abduct him for interrogation.
