Arias. The woman's name was Arias, a perfectly fitting name for her. Ford had succumbed to lust. He almost couldn't contain himself around Arias, after all, he was a man and she was a woman. A beautiful woman at that.
Arias: "Can you remember anything?"
Ford looked up at her with confusion at first. He had completely forgotten that he lied about being a lost child. Lying to be around a woman, is one way to describe how Ford is.
"N--no..."
He was stuttering every word he spoke. Arias had to be one naive girl to not know Ford was lying. It was blatantly obvious. Anyone could see he was lying, even a literal animal.
Ford has always been a bit of a terrible liar, ever since his early childhood. He never lied about what he wanted, even in situations where lying would probably be best.
Arias: "It's okay.. no need to be so shy... So, can you remember anything about where you're from?"
Arias spoke in a soft voice, so as not to intimidate Ford. Of course, Ford wouldn't be intimidated. After all, he was lying out of his ass.
"So... I wasn't being completely honest.."
Arias: "What?"
Ford closed his eyes and looked away as his face turned red from embarrassment. His embarrassment is understandable, as anyone would be after telling an obvious lie.
"I'm... not actually a lost child..."
Arias: "you lied to me? Why?"
Yes, why? Why did Ford lie to her instead of just telling her the truth about where he's from? Well, he wasn't that dumb. If he told her something like "I'm from another world", it would make him sound insane.
Arias would never believe it, and in turn, she would probably kill him. Well, now, she might kill him anyway.
Arias: "tell me where you're from... Or I'll kill you right here!"
Arias said as she launched an orange crystal at Ford, causing him to get knocked back into the alley. Well, what could he do now? He could tell her the truth... but she would never believe that, or... He could run away.
He chose the second option. He got up quickly and ran in the opposite direction. He ran until Arias was no longer in sight. It seems she chose not to chase Ford, but now, he knew he could never see Arias again. She would surely kill him.
This is how his first day in a parallel world was going. He already lost the trust of a beautiful woman, and he would probably never be able to gain it back.
Is what he thought. As he stood in the middle of a busy street, which is where he ran, he realized that this woman was special. Truly special, and he needed to find her, but she couldn't know about it.
He started running, looking everywhere he could, until he came across her. A blonde woman, long white dress. He knew that was Arias. What did he do? He followed her, from a distance.
He followed her just until she walked into an area that seemed to be pretty well guarded, and as he approached, he was stopped--
??: "You aren't allowed here, sir. This is the property of the princess."
Ford: "P--Princess?"
??: "Yes... Princess Arias"
This woman Ford was stalking, seemed to be someone of importance in this world. He wondered if she was the main heroine he is supposed to save, and if so, who is he supposed to save her from?
Was this world about to be attacked by a very powerful demon or dragon? Or does Ford play way too many video games? Most likely a combination of both.
There's no doubt a world as beautiful this is bound to get attacked at some point, but whether it's in Ford's lifetime or not, is the real question. There is also the possibility he was summoned here by accident, which is the most unlikely option.
Ford was determined to find out why he was summoned here. There had to be a reason. In order to find out that reason, he needed to know who summoned him.
There were multiple entities that Ford thought of off the top of his head. One being a god, or goddess. Another possible entity is that of a vengeful demon. The thought of a demon summoning is rare, but not unheard of.
Ford had made up his own end goal in this world: get Arias to love him. A selfish goal, and one that might not be achievable. Ford cared about no one but himself, and that mentality will carry on in this new world. Perhaps he was the worst person to be summoned to another world.
Maybe that's too far.. people can always change, Ford included. All he needed was a simple change in mindset, after all. He can still care about himself, but also show more empathy for others. Which, so far, we see a lack of.
It would be impossible to break into the property, Ford knew he'd be caught on the spot, and would probably be in prison for life, or even executed. After all, the severity of punishment in this world was completely unknown to Ford.
So, he wouldn't trespass into the property, which is something he had considered.. instead, he would wait. Wait for what? An opportunity to speak to Arias, and hopefully patch things up.
He had waited for a solid hour until he had finally saw Arias. He quickly approached her--
"Heya, Arias!"
Ford said as he approached her and waved. Arias looked at him with a frown, and immediately formed a fire sword, which had scared some of the bystanders.
Arias: "No need to be alarmed, everyone!"
People in the crowd could be heard muttering questions such as "what's going on?!" and "what's happening?!"
Ford would intervene-
"Hey, would you chill out? I just want to talk!"
Arias: "give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right here!"
"Look, I promise I'll explain everything to the best of my ability.. would you please just put the weapon away?"
Arias would let out a sigh as the weapon disappeared. If Ford doesn't fuck it up, he could possibly gain her trust back.
