I gulped whatever it was in my throat and turned to walk away, My mind was still pretty boggled at the events that took place today. I still couldn't believe it, first I get bullied by Jenny and her minions then Edward Dolan saves me.
Taylor starts dating David Yomi and suddenly I am the bad guy for wanting her to not make a mistake. Jenny and minions come again to taunt me about being left by my supposed friends. then to top it all, Sebastian asks me to watch my back.
I shuddered internally and hastened my steps, I had to get home and stay under the col shower. I kept telling everyone that it was normal for friends to fight but was it normal for a friend to say all that Taylor said to me? was it okay?
I needed answers to my questions but it didn't seem like I would be getting it anytime soon.
I continued walking towards the house, trying to forget what happened earlier today.
A while later, I walked into the house, I sighed and closed the door.
"Amelia." She called my name, taking a seat on the couch. I could tell she was worried about me.
"Nana, I was just feeling tired. There is nothing else to it so you don't need to be worried about it at all."
"Amelia, you may not realize this but you are not good at lying, tell me what exactly happened." She said, looking at me in the eye. I opened my mouth to lie again but she caught on.
"The truth, Amelia." She said again. I sighed and took a deep breath,
"I fought with Taylor, she introduced her boyfriend who is part of Sebastian's close friend, we have a well-known reputation in school so I told her he wasn't a good choice for her. She didn't take it well and well it escalated." I said and hung my head down.
"Okay, now tell me exactly what you said." I raise my eyebrows confused by what she just said
"I want to hear what and how you said it." She says.
"I told her that we all knew David's reputation but she didn't let me finish what I was saying, she took it rather negatively and said I hated seeing them happy, I was always trying to be perfect and I should be happy for my friends so I would be loved by someone," I say.
Nana took a deep breath and nodded. "I understand that you were concerned for our friends but learn to choose your words properly before saying anything. Taylor said all that she said, maybe out of anger but I don't know, I understand that you felt hurt with what she said but you should know that all friends fight. Taylor is still your friend, you can be the bigger person and apologize. A genuine apology fixes everything."
I nodded and took what she said into consideration. Taylor and Jane were still my friends and I could be the bigger person by apologizing. I made up my mind to apologize to Taylor tomorrow.
It was always a nice and refreshing feeling talking to Nana, it's like she had this magic that made all my worries and stress go away in a jiffy.
"Good night, Nana." I said and kissed both her cheeks, walking upstairs into my room with my phone in my hands.
I shut the door behind me. Suddenly, I received a message on my phone from the group chat. It was from Jane.
You see Taylor, Jane and I, we all have a group chat where we all spoke.
"Hey, We all can't stay mad at each other." She typed.
I closed the chat and dropped my phone on the bed stand, I wanted to apologize in person for what I said earlier although I don't regret saying it because I am a hundred percent sure that Sebastian asked David to do what he did.
I got into bed and turned off the lamp beside me, hoping the next day would bring something better than today.
