Chapter 3 - Super Soldier Serum

However, disappointment was not long in coming.

One by one, every man and woman who served as test subjects for the experiment perished within days.

Their bodies simply could not withstand the strain imposed by the serum.

Cells deteriorated at an alarming rate, organs failed, and in the end, only corpses remained.

With every failed attempt, the remaining doses of the serum were locked away under maximum security.

But hope—or perhaps desperation—still burned in the heart of one man.

In an act that would be remembered as heroism, the lead scientist stole the last injection and administered it to his own newborn son.

His sentence was immediate: execution.

But before the scientist's blood could even grow cold, something impossible happened.

The baby survived.

In the first few days, doctors and researchers observed him cautiously, expecting the same symptoms that had killed the previous test subjects.

But instead, the infant displayed signs of abnormal vitality.

His heart beat with perfect regularity, his lungs functioned with incredible efficiency, and his musculature developed at an astonishing rate.

Within weeks, he demonstrated motor control far beyond what was expected for his age.

At three months, he was crawling with impressive speed.

At five months, he was standing.

By seven months, the laboratory confirmed that his reflexes were far too sharp for any normal child.

His intellect evolved at an equally shocking pace.

At eight months, he spoke words clearly.

At ten months, he formed complete sentences.

And before his first birthday, he already understood basic concepts of strategy and combat, memorizing patterns and reacting to stimuli with superhuman precision.

His dense, well-defined muscles supported a strength no baby should have.

His endurance was absurd—he could run without showing fatigue, withstand falls from significant heights without a scratch, and his skin seemed more resistant than normal.

By the age of two, he had the physique of a six-year-old.

By six, he surpassed adult soldiers in speed and agility.

His reflexes were so sharp that he could predict movements before they were completed.

The military had no more doubts.

They had created a super soldier.
