Chapter 6 – Lucian's Weird Quest and the Butler Surprise

Lucian stared at the Hell Sphere's dark entrance, sighing deeply. "Survive 24 hours in a dungeon? What kind of quest is that?" He scratched his head, feeling his mind begin to numb. "This is pure ass—sitting here doing nothing but checking this dumb book all day. What kind of messed-up 'quest' is this supposed to be?"

He muttered to himself as he adjusted his position on the cold stone floor, feeling every inch of boredom crawl under his skin. He had snuck into a cleared Hell Sphere, one that was closing soon, so he wouldn't have to deal with any monsters.

"Great, no monsters. No excitement. Just me, the book, and endless hours of doing absolutely nothing. It's just... staring at the book. So much for this being some thrilling survival challenge."

He chuckled, glancing down at the book again. "Man, I swear this thing is malfunctioning more than I am."

---

Time Flies... Literally

Lucian glanced at the clock. 21 hours had passed. Only three more to go.

He groaned, looking around. "I'm basically just wasting time at this point. You know what? Screw this. I need a break."

He snapped his fingers, activating the portal and emerging from the Hell Sphere. He felt lighter, as if he had just left the weight of the world behind. "Okay, food. I deserve good food after all this. Time to feed Neo."

He strolled to a nearby shop and bought everything he could carry—chicken nuggets, hamburgers, fries, even some random snacks. He was ready to spoil his little brother.

---

Home Sweet Home (with Snacks)

Lucian barged into the house, arms laden with fast food. Neo, still chewing away on a bag of chips, looked up, eyes wide in disbelief. "You did not just bring all this back."

"Yep. I'm a hero today. You're welcome."

Neo grabbed a burger with a grin plastered on his face. "You are the best, big bro! I thought I was gonna starve to death in here, but now? Now I'm eating like a king."

Lucian laughed. "No, you're eating like a bottomless pit, but sure, that works."

While Neo stuffed his face with everything in sight, Lucian couldn't help but chuckle. Neo was in heaven. "You really are a mess, you know that?"

Neo, mouth full of food, nodded up vigorously. "The best mess ever, though!"

After a few minutes of Neo devouring his meal, Lucian stood up and went to his room. He had something to do—the book. He pulled it out of his pocket that was magic chanted, like he had done a hundred times by now. "Alright, book. It's time to make sense of you."

Checking the Book

He flipped the pages, and a new tab caught his attention: Rarity.

The description read like something out of an old treasure hunter's manual. This tab reveals your chances of acquiring items, skills, stats increases, and other rare rewards. It can also serve as a guide for locating treasures and identifying restricted items.

Lucian's eyes widened. "Wait, it even shows probabilities?" He was already imagining how this could be useful. "70% chance for a legendary item... 0.1% for skills... fragments of something. What the hell is a 'training chapter?'"

He scratched his head. "Alright, so I guess this will help me figure out what the hell I'm even looking for." His curiosity piqued, but the question marks next to the "training chapter" left him with more questions than answers. "Is it a glitch? A bug? No, it's just... weird."

He skimmed the rest of the tabs. A new skill popped up: Pocket Dimension.

Lucian blinked. "A new skill? Why does this sound like it belongs in a bad sci-fi movie?"

He read the description: This skill allows the user to store items in an alternate dimension, enabling easy access later. Be warned: using this skill excessively may drain your mana reserves.

Lucian smirked, turning the book over in his hands. "Yeah, this will make holding onto a book a lot easier."

Testing the skill, he tried putting the book into the pocket dimension. With a flick of his wrist, it vanished.

"Well, that worked."

Lucian grinned and reached into his pocket dimension again, pulling out the book. The process was easy. But his mana drained slightly, a visible reminder that this power wasn't free.

"Definitely not practical to carry around a book like this all the time," Lucian muttered. "But this? This skill is gonna be handy for so much more than just a book."

As he held the book, he noticed the slight unease that always came when he used the Servant of the Luminary skill. He didn't feel physically tired or drained, just... weird. Almost as if something wasn't quite right but he couldn't put his finger on it.

A Little Funny Side Note

"By the way," Lucian muttered to himself, "if you tally up the money I borrowed from Luna... I swear that's enough to solve world hunger. She's gonna kill me when I pay her back. I'll just say it's a lifetime loan, right? She'd laugh."

Out of the House, into the Weirdness

After checking everything on the book, Lucian stood up and stretched. He felt restless. "Okay, time to leave. Gotta get out of this house for a bit."

He grabbed his jacket and headed out the door. Neo, in the kitchen, was already asleep after inhaling everything in sight. Lucian gave him a light pat on the head before heading into the city's outskirts.lucian after getting further out of town he tried using the skill servant of the luminary nothing happened,he waited, waited and waited nothing happened,so he began taking a stroll in the city,

As he walked further, he noticed something strange: a person, standing just off the path. This wasn't a normal passerby, not by a long shot.

The guy was dressed in a full butler's uniform, standing tall and stiff, looking like he'd walked straight out of a high-class ballroom. Lucian froze. "Uh... okay, what the hell is this?"

The butler, looking entirely unphased by the absurdity of his appearance in the middle of nowhere, simply nodded to him. "Master Lucian, do not be alarmed. I am your servant."

Lucian's brain short-circuited for a moment. "Wait... what?"

The butler continued, his voice smooth and polite. "Do not be concerned about the Hell Sphere behind me. That is merely the home of the Ur Servants, the Land of the Luminary."

Lucian's eyes darted between the butler and the glowing Hell Sphere behind him. "Hold up. What? The Land of the Luminary? Are you saying this whole place is connected to some... other world?"

The butler nodded. "That is correct, Master."

Lucian's mind raced. "Who are you, then? And why is your home a Hell Sphere?"

"I am simply a servant. I cannot answer that question at this time," the butler replied, unfazed by Lucian's confusion.

Lucian blinked. "So, you're telling me this is my home now? Why would it be a Hell Sphere?"

The butler smiled. "That, too, Master, is something you may inquire about later. For now, ask the book."

Lucian stared at the butler, who somehow seemed to know exactly what he was talking about. "Wait, you knew I'd ask the book? How?"

"Because," the butler said, "the book knows everything you do."

Lucian pulled the book out of his pocket dimension. "Alright, let's see if this book will finally answer my questions."

As Lucian flipped it open, the butler watched him curiously.

Lucian frowned. "What the hell... how do I even ask this book?"

The butler looked amused. "Time will reveal the answer, Master."

Lucian stared at the butler. "Okay, I'm just gonna call you 'Butler' for now, alright?"

"Very well, Master."

Lucian couldn't shake the weird feeling that this wasn't just some simple misunderstanding. Something was happening. He had no clue what, but it wasn't normal.

With the butler leading him into the glowing Hell Sphere, Lucian muttered to himself, "Well, this is going to be fun."
