Soul cores.
Souls cores awaken at birth or at the start of a stage of age, like
Toddler,teenager,Adult and of course at birth and death,no like seriously at death.
If one awakens their soul core after dying,they could come back to life.
But of course,It is more unlikely for one to awaken one at death.
These soul cores are the source of one's power.
These come along with distinct markings on the back of the hand,these markings can be read and understood by specific people who awaken a soul core that gives them the ability to do so,leading them to learn what their power is in a brief way.
The special ability they get are called marks.
Eg:Mark of fire and a brief summary.
The brief summary of a mark is... A lie.
It's not a complete lie but it only reveals a part of it,so the person has to learn more about it.
Those that awaken soul cores are called thinkers or philosophers.
