Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A New Beginning (Part 1)

Location: Border of the Douluo Divine Realm - The Forest of Life - Ancient Tree of Life

(3rd Point of view)

The Douluo Divine Realm, a space beyond mortal comprehension, existed in a dimension where time and space intertwined like an infinite tapestry. A higher-dimensional plane at the pinnacle of ascended worlds, where gods reigned supreme, their power vast and unfathomable.

Here, legends from across countless worlds were not just remembered—they lived.

The realm itself was governed by five Supreme God Kings: Ji Dong, the newly appointed God of Evil, alongside his wife Lie Yan, the Goddess of Kindness; Tang San, the Asura and Sea God; and finally, two entities who stood at the core of all existence—Sheng Ming, the Goddess of Life, and her husband, Hui Mie, the God of Destruction.

Amidst the divine realm lay a secluded paradise—a sub-dimension known as the Forest of Life.

This ethereal domain was Sheng Ming's sanctuary, untouched by conflict and thriving with the raw essence of creation itself. Here, time was gentle, with daylight basking in spring's warmth and summer's glow, while nighttime cradled the land in autumn's crisp embrace beneath a winter sky filled with endless stars.

A vast expanse of divine flora stretched as far as the eye could see, home to various immortal herbs of unimaginable potency.

A tranquil lake lay at its heart, reflecting the heavens above. Even the last of the divine beasts roamed freely, creatures so ancient they had been thought extinct by the lesser realms. And at the very center of this paradise stood

The Ancient Tree of Life.

Its colossal branches reached beyond the sky, pulsing with primordial energy that nourished all that lived in its presence.

Amongst this grandeur, a lone figure walked with serene grace.

Sheng Ming.

Her long brown hair cascaded over her shoulders like a silken waterfall, adorned with a delicate green flower.

Her brilliant emerald eyes shimmered with an otherworldly glow, reflecting the boundless vitality that coursed through her very being. She was clad in a flowing gown of soft green, woven from the light of life itself.

A faint golden halo surrounded her, illuminating her presence with a gentle radiance.

As she walked, the forest responded to her touch. Flowers bloomed brighter, leaves whispered in reverence, and even the wind carried the sweet melody of renewal. With a soft smile, she placed a hand upon her stomach, feeling the fragile yet undeniable spark of new life growing within her.

For the first time in eons, she was not just the Goddess of Life—she was a mother.

But then—

A violent tremor shook the earth.

The tranquil beauty of the Forest of Life was disrupted as a burning violet meteorite tore through the sky, crashing into the sacred land with an earth-shattering impact. The explosion sent shockwaves rippling across the divine realm, disturbing even the Ancient Tree of Life.

Yet, Sheng Ming did not flinch.

From the smoldering crater, a figure emerged.

Clad in a billowing dark purple cloak, he was a man whose presence could command the heavens themselves. His red hair, darkened by the weight of destruction elements he commanded, stood in stark contrast to his piercing red eyes, which burned with a strange intensity. His features were sharp and regal, carrying the unmistakable air of authority.

In the entire Douluo Divine Realm only one god could rudely barge into the forest of life without risk of facing execution at the hand Divine Realm Committee Chamber

In addition, that god was none other than Hui Mie, the God of Destruction. Who right now was trembling uncontrollably?

With slow, measured steps, he approached his wife. His gaze, usually filled with unshakable resolve, was now laced with something foreign—something vulnerable.

This sight alone would have send the entire divine realm into chaos who would have guessed that the mighty god of destruction one of the five God Kings in the Douluo Divine Realm ,one of the divine realm Enforcers and one of the divine realm strongest gods would be reduced into this shaking mess

And yet Hui Mie himself did not care

"Ming…" his voice wavered. "Are you… pregnant?"

Sheng Ming let out a small huff, turning away from her husband pouting. "Humph. I knew it. You only wanted a baby… you never cared about me."

For a moment, silence stretched between them.

Then, without hesitation, Hui Mie reached forward, wrapping his arms around her from behind. He pulled her close, resting his chin on her shoulder. His embrace, though firm, was incredibly gentle, as though he feared she might disappear at the slightest touch.

"That's not true," he whispered, his voice raw with emotion. "You… You are everything to me you and this child… you are both my greatest treasures. How could I want a child without you? It is because of you that this miracle exists."

Sheng Ming's breath hitched. A warmth spread across her cheeks as she felt the sincerity in his words. Slowly, she turned in his arms, placing a hand against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. His eyes, glowing with Destruction Intent s power, held an intensity that to this day still made her feel breathless.

"How do you feel?" Hui Mie asked, his voice softer now, filled with concern.

She sighed, leaning into him. "I'm fine. But… this changes everything."

They both knew it.

A child born of two Supreme God Kings… such a thing was unheard of. Even among the gods, childbirth was a rarity, and for entities like them—beings of absolute power—it was almost impossible. Yet, here they were, defying the very nature of the divine laws.

In the Divine Realm, Creation and Destruction have always been the most core forces a child born of two different God Kings especially one tied to both creation and Destruction, was bound to shake the very foundation of the Divine Realm.

Hui Mie's expression darkened slightly. "This whole situation… it will be complicated."

Sheng Ming chuckled lightly. "More complicated than when little Wutong was born?"

The mention of Tang Wutong, the daughter of Tang San and Xiao Wu, momentarily lightened the mood.

But then—

A surge of violet energy erupted around them, sending divine beasts scattering in fear. The sky darkened, purple lightning crackling through the heavens. The very air trembled beneath the pressure of Hui Mie's emotions. His aura of destruction grew unstable, distorting reality itself.

His grip tightened around her. "Let them try. Should anyone even think of harming our child…"

His voice became a growl, filled with lethal intent. "I will erase them."

Sheng Ming exhaled, placing a gentle hand against his cheek. "Hui Mie."

At her touch, the storm quelled. The darkness receded, the sky returning to its natural state. His gaze softened as he looked down at her, his overwhelming power yielding to her presence.

She smiled, leaning her forehead against his. "You don't have to bear this alone. We will protect our child together."

His arms wrapped around her once more, holding her as if she were his entire world. In truth, she was.

For a long moment, they remained in comfortable silence, basking in the quiet miracle of this moment.

Then, at the same time, they whispered:

Hui Mie: "I love you."

Sheng Ming: "I love you."

Their foreheads met, their spirits entwining as one.

A new chapter of their eternal love had begun…

And with it, the birth of a destiny that would change the Divine Realm forever.

"Hey, hey. That is it. That is all you are going to choose. Are you sure you could ask for a lot more you know?"

The voice was playful, almost teasing, yet there was an unmistakable weight behind it—a force that coiled around my very existence like an unseen noose.

Unconsciously, I shivered. My gaze dropped to the small creature before me.

The moment those words left its lips, the air shifted. A suffocating pressure descended upon me, like a tidal wave crashing against my soul. It was not pain, nor was it fear—at least, not the kind a mortal mind could comprehend. It was the sheer, undeniable presence of something beyond me.

Something I had long since accepted I could never resist.

At the end of the day, despite all the years I had spent here, despite the countless hours in its company, I was nothing before this being.

A toy. A mere insect before the vastness of its power.

Humans never care what ants think or feel about them. We may find them to be a nuisance at times, but nothing more.

God is real. Moreover, before God, we are nothing but insects.

In addition, this God was bored.

And I… I was one of the few amusements it had left.

It tilted its head, a curious glint in its otherwise unreadable gaze.

"No need, I've already chosen my perks per our contract. And I'm not sure I could pay the price for more power after all I've already lost much of my sanity by spending the last few years with you But before you send me outside your domain… can I ask one final question?"

Its smile did not waver. If anything, it widened, as if amused by my hesitation.

"Oh? Why is that? Why are you so hesitant?" It stepped forward, the space around us distorting in response. "My dear Adam, you know you can ask me anything you want."

I gritted my teeth, forcing myself to hold my ground as I met its gaze. The featureless, humanoid entity before me shaped much like a young girl, yet nothing like one—regarded me with a look that sent a chill through my very being.

I exhaled slowly.

"Why are you doing this?"

Prometheus that was the name I decided to give this thing blinked. "Hum?"

"From what I understand, this place exists outside the totality of time and space—beyond even the Far Shores that govern reality. And you…"I gestured vaguely around us. "You control it. All of it. You exist beyond every concept of cause and effect, beyond every force that binds existence. Every moment, every possibility—past, present, and future—falls under your domain. To you, one moment and the next are indistinguishable."

I took a step closer.

"So why do you play games?" I asked my voice quieter now. "Why do you even bother playing when you already know every possible move I could make?"

For a moment, Prometheus said nothing.

Then, it smiled. A slow, knowing smile.

"I only know what will happen because it will happen," it answered.

My brow furrowed. "So you control everything.

"No, Adam." Prometheus's voice was soft, almost wistful. "I control nothing."

The words sent a strange shiver through me.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Prometheus turned slightly, glancing into the endless abyss surrounding us. It raised a delicate hand, as if tracing unseen threads in the void.

"Cause and effect. Action and reaction. To you, these are concepts that define existence. To me, they are merely reflections of what has already been set into motion. I do not choose the outcome—I merely witness it unfold."

It looked back at me, and for the first time, I thought I saw something behind its playful, godlike amusement. Something deeper.

Something almost… tired.

"Then… what is this? " I gestured at the space between us. "What is this game to you?"

Prometheus chuckled. "For now a curiosity. A momentary deviation. A flicker of something different in an eternity of sameness."

I clenched my fists. "And if I choose not to play?"

Prometheus tilted its head, considering my words. Then, with an almost imperceptible shrug, it said, "Then the game will end."

The void pulsed.

A choice… huh.

"So, are you ready?"

"I am."

"Good. And for what it's worth, I truly enjoyed our time together."

Prometheus smiled—a knowing, almost wistful expression—as she raised her hand toward me. The space between us twisted, distorted, and from the warping void, a spear began to take shape. It was incomplete, yet the sheer raw power it radiated was terrifying.

A weapon beyond mortal comprehension.

A weapon unworthy of mere description.

It was a spear that could not be called beautiful. No, to label it as such would be a disgrace. Despite its simple design—no more than that of an ancient Roman lance—it was unlike anything that had ever existed. It was immaculate perfection itself, untainted, untouched by imperfection. It was neither beautiful nor pleasing to the eye. Instead, it was absolute.

This was the True Longinus.

The original God-Slayer Sacred Gear. The reason all others capable of slaying the divine bore the name Longinus.

Its identity was undeniable—the Spear of Longinus, named after the man himself. The very weapon that had pierced the side of Jesus Christ upon His crucifixion, ensuring His death. And now, standing before it, I could not stop the overwhelming sense of awe, the instinctive pull toward reverence. It was as if the spear commanded worship, not by force, but by the sheer weight of its existence.

Prometheus's voice cut through the thick silence.

"As per our agreement—True Longinus, the spear that embodies all that is holy. It is both light and darkness. The simplest force, yet unfathomably complex. It holds the power to reshape reality itself, to impose one's will upon the universe. It is the spear of creation and destruction—taken to its utmost extreme. The weapon that carries God's will… and the key to becoming a god in your own right."

She stepped closer, eyes gleaming with something unreadable.

"And now, it's yours. Hopefully, you'll survive the random changes I've made to the timeline… along with the storms your rebirth will bring."

The void trembled.

"Now, hold tight—oh, and try not to let your soul shatter. This is going to hurt."

Before I could even react, she was already in front of me—too fast, too sudden.

A sharp pain exploded in my chest.

The spear had already pierced my heart.

The world shattered into a kaleidoscope of shifting colors. Pain seared through every fiber of my being, tearing through flesh, bone, and soul itself.

Through the agony, I managed to grit out one final thought—one last word before oblivion consumed me.

"You crazy woman."
