"Okay, tell me everything," William says as he sits at Mark's table. They are on their lunch break right now, and Mark was stuffing loads of food in his mouth again.
"Huh?"
"Stop eating for a second and tell me everything about Eve Wilkins."
"Why? Are you writing a story?"
"Are you kidding? It's clear you two are going out with each other, and I want details, copious details."
"Are you talking about dating?"
"Of course, you twit! Spill it!"
"We're not dating."
"Oh, the 'we're just friends' nonesense. Please don't say that. It's like you're trying to jinx any chance you have of dating Eve."
Mark looks at William while chowing on his food with narrowed eyes.
"Weren't you saying something like I wouldn't have a chance with her? I think that was last week, no?"
"That was before everyone saw you leave school with her last week."
"So? I don't see how this is relevant information or telling in any way. Didn't we leave school together as well? So, everyone should now assume I turned and have the hots for you? Give me a break."
"First off, you wish, and secondly, we're all teenagers here, that's normal for us to believe as that's all our minds think of. Naturally, you leaving with Eve means that you two have a secret."
*Munch Munch*
"She has a boyfriend."
"So? You can be more awesome than him and take his place. That's how dating works."
"Sounds bothersome."
"Ugh, why are you so intimidated by her? Other than she's amazing and you're kinda basic. I mean, true, you are a hunk of a man already and barely passed 17, thinking about how you will develop further is just ... but still."
"I find this discussion to be pointless and unpleasant. I will leave now."
"Leave? Where are you going? You know what? I don't care. It's probably somewhere you'll be alone forever.", William says. Right at that moment, Amber sits down in front of him.
"Is Mark dating Eve Wilkins?"
"I wish! I-I mean no! Definitely not. She's got a boyfriend. He is super available. Want his number? I'll write it down for you."

Mark and Eve don their suits and fly through the city. They land on the roof of a building, where Rex is waiting for them. He has his arms crossed and doesn't look pleased at all.
"Uh, where are you guys coming from?" he asks.
"Um, we go to the same high school, Rex."
"Oh, you do, do you?"
"..."
"Must be nice. Do you know who never got to go to high school? Me."
"That would make sense," Mark says.
"What?"
"I would appreciate everyone's attention on the matter at hand," Robot tells them.
"Guess who's back?" Dupli-Kate asks.
"Eminem?"
"What? No. The Flaxxans."
And indeed, a large portal has opened up in the city below, and from it, hundreds of Flaxxans have already marched out, followed by tanks. Invincible doesn't wait and drops down, flying fast. He has adapted to this new situation and has a different tactic in mind. He is a martial artist, but he is also a barbarian, and since roughly a month ago, he is also a Viltrumite, and all that was difficult to combine together. But Mark never stops moving, developing, and evolving. And while it was only three days ago, it was enough for him.
The Flaxxans' red laser weapons shoot towards Invincible as he flies forward. His speed has increased again, and he uses that to his advantage. He doesn't dodge the energy blasts as it is both training and a way to minimise damage to the surroundings and the civilians. He doesn't change his trajectory and just crashes through the Flaxxans' bodies and into the ground, causing a large crater.
*SQUELTCH*
*BOOOM*
Blood and organ matter splatter all over him and to the ground. He moves forward, combining his flight with the strength of his legs and flashes from one Flaxxan to the next. His hand passes through them and their armour with seemingly no resistance. He keeps moving through their ranks... literally, causing their bodies to explode into a shower of blood. He grabs one of them and uses his body like a projectile, throwing it against another bunch of them.
*SPLATTT*
"Greetings vermin ... you weren't missed."
One of the Flaxxans, who was injured during their previous invasion by Invincible, snarls angrily and shouts orders in their language.
"algualds weapons laia aliahah now!" the Flaxxan commander shouts.
The Teen Team have also made it to the ground and is fighting the other Flaxxans while trying to dodge the shots from their tanks. A lot more Flaxxans have arrived compared to the first time they were here. They noticed how Invincible mowed through their ranks and have taken expedient measures. A higher body count is all that would result from this.
Special energy weapons were set up, and they fired at Invincible. Immensly powerful and thick lasers hit him from different sides, slowing him down first and then, causing him to crash through the buildings behind him.
*BOOOOOMMM*
The large laser melted concrete and other material like it was paper and managed to damage Invincible's suit and even scorch his body. The weapons were single use-weapons and after a single charge, cant' be used agian, as they use far too much power to fire. But would that truly stop him? Dupli-Kate grabs their attention and their fire from the powerful lasers, creating duplicates to evade death. Rex Splode throws his explosives at the powerful weapons and manages to destroy some of them. But then some Flaxxans arrive with different weapons. They had many decades to prepare for the Teen Team and Invincible, and they used it.
Rex throws his explosives at the weapons again, but as they fly through the air, the Flaxxans fire their guns at the explosives and stop their advancement. Not only that, but they also fly back the way they came from, towards Rex.
"Hey, don't do that!" Rex screams and jumps out of the way.
*BOOM BOOM BOOM*
Robot uses his altitude to fire missiles at the Flaxxans and reduce their numbers and the number of their tanks. The Flaxxan commander shouts commands, and another specially prepared weapon is deployed. The magnetic device hits Robot and causes him to malfunction and fall to the ground.
The civilians scream in panic and fear. They try to run away, but the Flaxxans chase them down. They fire their weapons at their retreating figures and kill several of them in one go. Eve lands in front of them and creates a barrier using her powers. She blocks the attacks and then sends out a powerful wave of energy forward, driving the Flaxxans back and destroying some of their tanks. But the move was exhausting. Four small floating devices appear from the smoke and fly forward. Eve fires several spears at them and succeeds in destroying three of them, but the fourth one opens up and covers her face, compromising her concentration and leaving her helpless.
*BOOOOM*
Invincible is back and crashes into a tank, destroying it. He adapts as he fights and uses his body as it was intended, like a weapon to throw around. He flies towards another one and rips off the upper part of it, throwing it at the third tank. He shoots through the air, taking a complicated path as he does so, crushing Flaxxans as he goes.
*BOOOOM BOOOOM*
Several powerful lasers are fired at him at the same time, killing dozens of Flaxxans but stopping his rampage temporarily. Using this very short window, tanks created against Invincible specifically fire at him, using even higher-intensity beams of energy to hurt him from different sides. But Invincible isn't bothered by this and shruggs it off. He walks through the powerful beams, until he reaches the first tank. He lifts it up and hurls it through the air again, destroying two at the same time. However, the Flaxxan Commander had anticipated this possibility and had prepared an alternative for him. Several Flaxxans shoot a powerful sticky substance at Invincible, catching him and gluing him to one of the tanks. They go further and also cover his face and add more layers to make sure his movement is restricted and hoping he would suffocate.
The Flaxxan Commander snarls in anger and approaches Eve. They used their time wisely, but it seems that their preparation, while effective against the Teen Team, didn't help them with Invincible. He used extra 2 decades to further increase their weapons and the power they had to use it against Invincible. He wanted to go back far sooner, he wanted to use less time, but he didn't. He wanted to make sure Invincible would die and yet ... here he was, alive and seemingly more powerful than before. Their high-intensity energy weapons could probably destroy multiple continents, even if they were single-use weapons. He points his gun at Eve, but just as he is about to kill her, a rumble is felt, and the large pile of glue they used to cover Invincible explodes outwards.
*BOOOOOOM*
"You don't shoot sticky substances on people! And you don't make them brown either!"
Invincible shoots through the air and backhands the Flaxxan Commander away, not bothering with him for now. The alien's body folds like a paper, and blood splashes around as he crashes through several buildings. Invincible turns back and pulls apart the device covering Eve's face. She gasps for air.
Invincible then looks at the Flaxxan army. He sees the few bloody puddles of the Flaxxan commander's body being carried through a portal by two Flaxxans and doesn't bother about him. He is not happy about this situation as he didn't even get to use all of his strength. He takes flight again and swings his arms around, cutting the Flaxxans apart as he does so. He no longer cares about finesse and embraces his savage part, crashing through the tanks and flashing through the area, killing all of them.
All portals close, giving no more Flaxxans a chance to retreat since ... all of them are dead anyway. The area is silent for a moment.
"Way to go psycho there, buddy. I take back everything I said about you before, and I said a lot." Rex says.
"Hmm, I think I've indulged my savage nature enough for today."
"Don't get me wrong, that was amazing, but also, the scariest thing I have ever seen. Just don't ever point that at me, okay?"
"Don't listen to Rex. You did great, Invincible."
"That's what I said, Eve."
*Ring Ring*
Mark takes the call.
"Hello?"
...
"Everything ok?" Eve asks.
"I gotta go," he says and flies off.
"Oh, no, that's fine. We'll handle the clean-up. Asshole!!"

Mark flies towards the hospital in the Pentagon, where his father has been staying for the last week. He arrives at the room and sees him sitting and awake.
"Mark!"
"Hey, son."
"Dad! You're awake. Thank god... I thought I would have to shadowbox for the rest of my life."
"...I ... am glad that my health pleases you, son. Haha."
"What's all that blood, Mark? Are you hurt?" Debbie asks.
"No. Another Flaxxan invasion. That's not my blood."
"Oh, thank god."
Nolan looks at his son in a weird way but smiles.
"So, are you okay? All good?"
"No, he's not. But okay, enough to come back home."
"Mom says you've been keeping the planet safe for me. And I can see it to be true."
"Eh, not really safe. It's like every week, someone new is out to take over the world or destroy as much as he or she can. I don't know why..."
"You are right about that."
As Nolan is putting on fresh clothes, Mark goes to check on the woman he saved three days ago, when the Flaxxans first invaded. Not seeing her in her room, he asks someone for information.
"What hospital did they move Maya to?"
"Maya? Oh, she left yesterday. She was transferred to a hospital close by to watch over her recovery. But she will make a full one. You did good."
"Hm, seems like it."
"Come on, Mark. Let's go home. I'm dying for some real food."
"Sure. Sounds good."
"Just a moment." Nolan says and addresses the lady as well. "Hey, I need my costume back. I don't care how torn up it is. It's classified, and I want it back. Go get it. Now."
"What are you talking to her like that for? Do you think the secret government official might do something with it?" Mark asks.
"You can't trust Cecil, Mark. Remember that. He is one of those people who would lie to you the moment they open their mouths. It is like breathing to him, and to get what he wants, he will do anything."
"I thought as much."
"Don't talk like that about Cecil behind his back." Debbie reprimands the two.
"Is it behind his back if he hears every word we say?" Mark asks.
"What do you mean?"
"This is the Pentagon, Mom. He would be a fool if he didn't know what was happening here at all times. So he knows we're talking about him and is probably not surprised."
"Haha, Mark's right. Very well, let's get out of here."

I tried to make it clear, but some seem to be children and say this Invincible isn't as strong or smart as the original one. He is considerably stronger but not OP stronger. I try to make it somewhat realistic. You will see it in the chapters to come.
