~8 years later~
Dear diary, today is May 12th, 8 years since the accident. I couldn't even make it to 15 before getting run over. Typical for me to do something like that. I'm almost 23 now. Just one more month. Zoe stops writing and thinks to herself for a second before sighing. She puts the journal down on the bed before standing up and looking at the girl in the mirror. Zoe's long dark brunette hair and pale skin wasn't the same as it was when she got here. Her skin caused her to look sickly at first before being replaced with a healthy looking tan and her long brunette hair had been replaced with a short brunette shoulder length bob hairstyle looking fairly straighter than most bob haircuts did but she didn't mind. She liked it this way actually. It was low maintenance and easy to handle. One swipe of her brush and it was neat and untangled instantly. Her icy blue eyes looked the same but instead of adding to her sickly look, they looked slightly darker and even slightly greener now. She glances at the girl in the mirror one long last moment before opening her closet and grabbing an outfit.

Later on, Zoe's sitting in her room drawings and listening to music when she hears a knock on the door. "Come in." Her voice echoed through the large, nearly empty room. A moment passed before someone opened the door. Zoe didn't look up but could already tell who it was because of their soft footsteps against the hardwood floors. Katelynn. Katelynn had dark brown hair with slight strands of blonde and piercing gray eyes. She stood around 5'6" with Zoe standing at 5'9". Zoe had many nicknames for her but Zoe's personal favorite was Lynn or Kat. Katelynn didn't seem to mind the nicknames but she was usually very quiet and she found it very hard to talk about her emotions and personal things like that. Zoe looks up from her drawing, taking an earbud out in the process. "Hey Kat, what's up?" Zoe asked. Kat didn't normally just walk in Zoe's room. Kat stayed silent for a moment before speaking up. "I have something for you." There was excitement in her voice, making Zoe feel slightly excited inside too. Zoe opens her mouth to respond but Kat hands her a box before she can even get the words out. Zoe looks at Kat, almost skeptical about the box and what was inside but opened it anyway. Inside were a few spirit animals. Spirit animals are like guardian spirits for the souls in Hell. They help souls be better, some believe if you're good, you can get to heaven. Personally, I don't think it's possible. People get sent to Hell for a reason. Zoe looks at Kat with a shocked expression. "Kat were did you get these?" Kat smiles at Zoe. "I know some people." Zoe laughs slightly at Kat's response. "Cameron isn't going to let us keep them, you know that right?" Kat blinked at Zoe's comment. "Too bad. We're going to keep them anyway" Zoe rolls her eyes but can't help but smile at Kat's confidence especially since she was known more as the shy type. "Cameron's gonna kill us both because of you." Zoe joked. "Where is there to go after dying in Hell?" Kat asked, and for a moment it sounded as if Kat was genuinely asking Zoe if she knew. Almost as if testing her knowledge on the death of sinners. The silence between the two made Zoe uncomfortable. Once Kat realized this, she immediately spoke up. "Sorry, sorry." "You're fine Kat." Zoe replied, but she couldn't stop thinking about Kat's question as the night went on.
